thats a great looking C 95 ,I guess it is gas also, that open cab is one of my favorates, I have a 54 mack LS85 open cab, we have tokeep these mack preserved for ever.

just got my L 54 MACK back on the road and not used to the shifting double clutching ,start out in 2nd gear and have trouble sometimes getting into 3rd, have to stop and start again,sometimes catch it just right, also downshifting from 4th to 3rd, I know you have to catch the engine speed just right. would a tachometer help me or any other hints that would help shifting?

5.5 / 6 " should be your min. and at least 4000# with wire, our pole barn(a MORTON) 42X52 we had to build up with recycled concrete 6 to 18 " took about 50 tons ,power plate compact in 2" lifts, cover with plastic, wire . another important item is the expansion material, we used a recycled rubber material 6" high all the way around the building including around each post , we did all the prep work and the concrete crew did the pour/placement started at 7am and they where gone by 2 pm 40 cu yd including aprons , (7 GUYS)come back next day and saw cut joints in. HAS NOT CRACKED IN 5 YRS. -
looks good but I would want to craw around under it , has a different fire body on it, has a lot of potential, have a 54 L that I hope to have at the cradle of liberty antique fire apparatus assoc. meeting on dec.4 , in florence ,n.j.

your new rig looks nice, it has another thing common to MACKS..... it was built in PA. , had a lot of them HAHNS,over here in N.J., I thought radnor had all MACKS........

nice looking R model ,also you could use a 2x6 or 2x8 collar ties above the existing ones and remove the lower ties. -

nice truck, but it didn't have any gold on it ,I guess it was done with the intent of selling it and letting the buyer do the gold to their liking.

the orginal macks had a positive ground system ,check if yours is still connected that way -

hi guy's :I talked to both john chambers and cal little today up at MACUNGIE,PA (antique truck and parts show) also matt pfahls all three are arthurities on old macks. john said he most likely has a thermostat ,call on monday , a lot of really nice trucks up their and worth the trip. the cradel of liberty antique fire apparatus assoc on july 24 at delaware county community college is having 100th anniv.of MACK fire apparatus, check their website

what is the best route to get to macungie ,coming up (north east ext.PA TP) what exit on the TP ,last year got off TP and when through several small towns and narrow roads,had directions from google. seems like best way is go up to the allentown exit? then what? thanks
