  1. Keeping the hard nose. Makes it more unique and ads some character.
  2. The truck was bought new from York Mack by York Corrugated metal company February of 1974. They were the only owners and used the truck up until my father purchased it. Overall the truck is clean and in good condition. Can was rotted in the corners and up where the steel nose mounts. Going to replace with a galvanized cab with bowed back to give a little more room. Also goi g to add power steering. Have removed the cab and engine and brought the chassis into my garage to tear down further. Plan is to have completed for a truck show in May.
  3. My father picked up this 1974 Mack 3 years ago. Finally pulled into the garage to go through it and get it ready to pull my Mack AB’s to shows.It will be a frame up restoration.
  4. Starting the restoration of a 1974 Mack Rmodel and looking for beige cab paint.I have read all the post out there on the beige interior paint colors. Have not been able to locate any mack paint and was wondering what others have been doing for paint on the inside of the cabs. I have an old can of dark beige from Mack 30 years ago and was going to take to PPG paint supplier to try to match. What has everyone been using as far as Paint brands, part numbers and any pictures would be great. Thanks in advance for the help.

  10. I would be interested in one of them. The 1925 im restoring was missing the emblems. Would you happen to have any other Mack AB parts in your collection. Im also Looking for a radiator cap and a water pump. Thanks for the help Mike.

  13. Looking to buy a water pump for a 1925 Mack AB. If anyone has one that they would like to sell or have any leads on one that would be great. Also has anyone done anything to retrofit another type of pump in order to circulate coolant on an old AB engine.
  14. Is the mack Emblem for the AB radiator still available?
  15. Will need to be cleaned up and primed but it is solid.
  16. Those platinum/ fiberglass cowls are junk. I will see if I have some good metal ones in my collection for you.

  19. Glad to help solve the mystrey. The box of parts you purchased must have came from a mine or quarry.
  20. It's not a Mack part or an aftermarket trailer part. It is actually a bracket for a return idler on a conveyer. Rexnord 101-60672-1 Idler Roller Bracket Hanger
  21. Mack engine oil pan. Will fit an E7 engine. $500 OBO
  22. Was able to clean and reassemble everything. Made a world of difference. Amazjng how light the transmission was. I physically picked it up and slid it into the housing.
  23. Update. Had a little time today so I removed the clutch from the transmission and took it apart. Overall everything is in good condition, however the linings are oil soaked and brittle. Will be looking for some material to reline. At least there is several months until shows start.
