So, I have a little bit more for this thread for one last post and than I am officially done Another way to tell the two Season Three Sister Trucks apart from each other is that John Amstutz's Truck got permit holders on the passenger side underneath the cab just before the exhaust's elbow not to long after it's time it was used to film some of the episodes in the series which still remain on the truck to this day Another interesting fact that previously forgot to mention about the two sister Season Three 1980 Trucks is that these were the only two trucks that we know of that were fully painted at the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant with the Salem Paint Scheme that had the top stripe reversed The Season One and Season Two "beauty" and "glamorous" 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne was only partially painted at one of the Kenworth Factory Truck Plants as previously mentioned in one of my earlier posts in this thread in which the 1978 Truck I am referring to was built at the Kansas Kenworth Factory Truck Plant During the Second Season Episode "Pogo Lil" both stunt trucks used in the series were used to film the beginning scene with BJ's Truck hanging off of a cliff because Greg Evigan had to be inside of one of the trucks which would of been the Season One and vaguely Season Two 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck while the Season Two 1979 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck was the truck that most were seeing the underbelly to with the front wheels really hanging off of cliff The Season One and vaguely Season Three 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck was just driven close to the same cliff for the top views to make the truck appear as if was hanging over the cliff with it's front wheels and was also the truck that Greg Evigan was seen getting out of once his character was relieved that his truck was fully back on land which is why in that scene in some places you see convex mirrors on the truck and than in other places you don't see convex mirrors on the truck These two screen shots below show the Season One and vaguely Season Three 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck being used in that scene to show which camera angles I was talking about In Season Three as well as the two part B.J. and the Seven Lady Truckers episodes from Season Two the behind the scene pictures with B.J. McKay (Greg Evigan) and the girls had seemed to have been taken with the Season One and vaguely Season Three 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck as I had already previously mentioned earlier in the thread During Season Three one of the girls characters name was Callie which was played by Linda McCullough in which her character drove a three tone brown 1981 GMC Astro Cabover Callie's GMC Astro was seen in a couple of episodes of Knight Rider where it actually had pulled both of BJ's 1972 Brown Reefer Trailers although I can only get a screen shot from one of the episodes so far and it isn't the best Now, It is time to talk about the two 1972 Brown Reefer Trailers used throughout all three seasons of the show that both John Amstutz and Paul Sagehorn own today and appearances that they had made in other productions over the years ever since being used to film B.J. and the Bear Both Trailers eventually had the reefers removed and had black underbelly boxes installed for storage boxes and also had a lift gate installed in the rear underneath the trailer doors going to the rear doors of the trailer and also on John Amstutz's Trailer the little black light indicator box was taken off on the drivers side corner of the trailer that was for the driver to see the lights for the reefer in the drivers side mirror

Here are pictures of the two Season Three 1980 Kenworth K-100C Aerodynes that both John Amstutz and Paul Sagehorn own today These two trucks came out of the Ohio Kenworth Factory Truck Plant and were both built specifically for B.J. and the Bear which is why both trucks have signatures from the workers that had worked on them while they were being built at the factory although both trucks don't have the same signatures These two trucks are referred to as the sister trucks because they're one vin number apart from each other and initially were delivered to JT Jenkins and from there were both sent to Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots where the writings were added onto the two trucks and than from there the two trucks were sent on tour attending truck shows right away and than came back to Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots in time to film the last four episodes of Season Two that needed to be filmed which would include "Gasohol" and the three part "Run For The Money" episodes After that starting with the "The Fast and The Furious" two part episodes during Season Three these two trucks took their turn to be seen in almost every Season Three episode although it does appear that the Season One and vaguely Season Three 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck was the truck that was used for the behind the scenes pictures with the girls for Season Three along with the two part episodes "B.J. and the Seven Lady Truckers" for Season Two These two trucks were both sold from Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots in 1982 a year after the show was canceled The truck that Paul Sagehorn owns today ended up blowing it's motor three different times while former owner James Duncan had owned it starting in 1985 and than it was eventually parked for two years starting in 1989 and than the last year it was on the road was in 1991, But, Not for very long before the motor blew up for a fourth time There seems to be many picture's of John Amstutz's Truck going around the internet while his truck was working for a living throughout the 80's and throughout the 90's and even in the early 2000's between 2000 and 2003 These two trucks featured NTC-400HP Cummins Engines with 13 Speed Transmissions Here are pictures of these two trucks behind the scenes Here are pictures of John Amstutz's Truck while it was working for a living after it's time on the show Here are some pictures of Paul Sagehorn's Truck after he had restored it

A continuation post of the Season Two 1979 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck that is now the Highway Men tv series truck or atleast the chassis is From the second season episode "Siege" when the truck was destroyed while driving through the biker bar and you will notice the white pillar in between both windshields and the red huckle lug nuts on the front rims From the third season episode "Detective, I Presume" when it was used to drive through a warehouse seeing that it was still drive able and already went through a biker bar in the second season episode "Siege"

Now, Starting off a post for the Season Two Stunt Truck that was a 1979 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne that was also supplied by JT Jenkins although I am unsure if it ever left the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant with a solid white cab or if it fully painted at the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant it had came out of This truck featured a V892 430HP Detroit Engine with an Automatic Transmission and if you pay very close attention to my screen shots it also had a little peep window on the passenger side door This truck was also mostly the only truck used in the whole entire series to have a white pillar between the two windshields instead of a red pillar in between the two windshields the only episodes that another truck used in the series would of had a white pillar between both of the windshields to match this truck would of been "B.J. and the Whitch", "Lobo", "Lobo Revenge" and part of the episode "Deadly Cargo" (Although this truck does also appear in the episode "Deadly Cargo") This was also the only truck used in the whole entire series to have the red huckle lug nuts on the front rims At the very start in earlier Season Two episodes this truck also had chrome quarter fenders and chrome sleeper door vents and there's a very early black and white picture of this truck showing that it initially had fuel tank steps and curled stacks before it ever appeared on the show One last thing about this truck is that the writing on the passenger side door was different than the rest of the trucks used in the whole entire series and also this truck frequently pulled a longer dry van trailer with a sliding axle than it did one of the two twin 1972 Brown Reefer Trailers Eventually this truck was destroyed during filming the second season episode "Siege" when it was used to drive through a biker bar and this truck also only appears in Season Three once during the episode "Detective, I Presume" to drive through a warehouse seeing that it was still drive able after it was initially destroyed during Season Two and they decided to use the same truck to drive through a warehouse in Season Three seeing that it was already previously destroyed during the second season from driving through a biker bar Eventually, The frame of this truck was later used as the donor for the Highway Men tv series truck The black and white picture showing the curled stacks and fuel tank steps before it had ever appeared on the show Also, Pay close attention to the writing on the door A black and white picture showing the removal of the destroyed cab of this truck after it's frame was used for the donor of the Highway Men tv series truck The truck while it was behind the scenes on the show Here are earlier screen shots of this truck when it still had the chrome quarter fenders and the chrome sleeper door vents which was eventually replaced later on in the season to match all of the other trucks used in the whole entire series Also, Pay very close attention to the writing on the passenger side door in the first screen shot

Here's a continuation for this thread after I had got in the middle of something yesterday and to stop my response Starting back off with the 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Season One and vaguely Season Three stunt truck The little peep window on this 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck covered in duct tape that was painted red The Season One episode where the truck was mounted with a hitch in the back of the frame to pull a mobile home in one episode The in back of the frame on this 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck in a Season One Episode The same hitch appears on a stunt truck in some Season Three episodes and the stunt truck has the Season Three paint scheme showing that the 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne Stunt Truck was repainted with a Season Three paint scheme between Season Two and Season Three

I have access to the show, So, There's plenty more to come for this thread and some day I will own me a Ford WT-9000 titled as 1974 even though they're getting very rare to find and very hard to find parts for I think that it was just a coincidence because if you read my first post on the first post on the first 1978 Aerodyne you will see where I had said that Kenworth themselves chose the black and gold stripes on the truck

A continuation to the last response because of the history on the First Season and Second Season 1978 Aerodyne was so long here are some of the other trucks that was used in the series throughout all three seasons Next up is this other 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne that was supplied to Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots by JT Jenkins and also left the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant with a solid white cab and I am unsure whether or not this truck already had a red frame when it had left the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant or if the frame was painted red by George Sack at Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots This truck did feature a V892 400HP Detroit Engine with a 15 Speed Transmission and if you pay very close attention to my screen shots it had a little peep window on the passenger side door This was the only truck used throughout the whole entire series to have the turn signals mounted underneath the mirrors and eventually it was painted with a Season Three paint scheme as it was vaguely used during Season Three as a stunt truck for the bigger stunt during Season Three This is the only truck used in the series that isn't accounted for today as most originally thought that this was the truck that was destroyed during a second season episode until some just recently learned about the other stunt truck used in the series This 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne seems to have gotten the most screen time during the Season One Episodes although the other 1978 Aerodyne was also a Season One Truck and was the very first Aerodyne purchased for the show This truck was still completely intact once the series came to an end and you can tell that it had survived the show, But, The current whereabouts on it today is unknown

Here is a description of each and every truck used in all three seasons throughout the whole entire series The very first Aerodyne was a 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne with an NTC-400HP Cummins Engine and a 15 Speed Transmission this truck appears in the series more than any other truck because it appears in both Season One and Season Two of the show as the "beauty" and "glamorous" truck although this truck did do some of it's own stunts just like any other truck used in the series for Season One and Season Two this truck did have a couple of back up stunt trucks for some of the bigger stunts and even though this is the very first Aerodyne purchased for the show and it does appear in some Season One episodes like "Lobo", "Lobo's Revenge" and "Odyssey Of The Shady Truth" for an example this truck appeared in alot more Season Two episodes than it did Season One episodes Initially, This truck had left the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant with a solid white cab and a red frame and had arrived at a dealership by the name of JT Jenkins where from there it was initially bought by George Sack from Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots to be one of his trucks that was to be an equipment mover, But, Once the primary 1974 Kenworth K-123 flattop that was used to film the pilot episode had disappeared in between the time the two part pilot episode was done being filmed and before the very first episode of the series was filmed George Sack at Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots had painted the red on the cab of this truck and than sent it back to the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant where the black and gold was painted on it to be the replacement for the 1974 Kenworth K-123 This truck was the bill board crasher in the opening credits in all three seasons of the show When this truck went undercover as the Black Aerodyne for a Season Two Episode and when the truck was getting prepped for that episode here are the pictures of it To be fair this truck actually also is still verified to still be around today, But, Out of respect the owner wishes to remain anonymous and the truck hasn't been seen for years as it has been stored away for a very long time

In the previous post I had also forgot to mention that the first 1978 Aerodyne Truck with the Cummins Engine did already infact have a red frame when it had left the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant although I am unsure if the other 1978 Aerodyne Stunt Truck already had a red frame when it had left the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant and I am even more unsure of the Season Two 1979 Aerodyne Stunt Truck of how that truck would of left the Kenworth Factory Truck Plant entirely, But, I do know that it was supplied to Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots by JT Jenkins just like the two 1978 Aerodyne Trucks were JT Jenkins was the truck dealership for three of the Aerodynes for B.J. and the Bear, The K-123 flattop for the pilot episode of B.J. and the Bear, The Kenworth W-925 for the pilot episode of Movin' On, One of the Kenworth W-925's for Movin' On that was modified for mostly interior shots, The Kenworth's used for the first Smokey and the Bandit film and the Kenworth's used for the Great Smokey Roadblock film Each and everyone of these trucks had a badge somewhere on them advertising for JT Jenkins in these films/tv shows which means that these trucks did originally indeed come from JT Jenkins Also, I've noticed that especially in Season Two and Season Three of B.J. and the Bear that the trucks would frequently switch trailers in between either episodes or scenes Not so much during Season One though with the exception of the episode "Odyssey Of The Shady Truth" it seems as if during that episode both 1978 Aerodyne Trucks appear in that episode, But, Only the trailer that John Amstutz owns today appears in that episode otherwise than that during Season One the first 1978 Aerodyne with the Cummins Engine seems to have pulled the trailer that John Amstutz owns today alot more and also during Season One the 1978 Aerodyne Stunt Truck with the Detroit Engine seems to have pulled the trailer that Paul Sagehorn owns today alot more During the Second Season of the show the 1979 Aerodyne Stunt Truck seems to have pulled the Fruehauf Dry Van trailer the most, But, The 1979 Aerodyne Stunt Truck did also pull both of the reefer trailers that John Amstutz and Paul Sagehorn both own today as well, Too The first 1978 Aerodyne with the Cummins Engine seems to have pulled both of the reefer trailers that John Amstutz and Paul Sagehorn both own today during the second season of the show the most as the other 1978 Aerodyne Stunt Truck with the Detroit Engine only appears in the episodes "18 Wheels Of Rip Off", "B.J. and the Whitch", "Friendly Double Cross", "Mary Ellen" and the two part "B.J. and the Seven Lady Truckers" episodes during the second season of the show the next time the other 1978 Aerodyne Stunt Truck with the Detroit Engine appears in the series after those first six episodes of the second season was filmed is during the two part "B.J. and the Seven Lady Truckers" episodes during the third season of the show and I believe the two reefer trailers were switched out accordingly during those Season Two episodes and Season Three episodes because aside from "18 Wheels Of Rip Off" with the first 1978 Aerodyne with the Cummins Engine going undercover as the Black Aerodyne the other 1978 Aerodyne Stunt Truck with the Detroit Engine would of been the only truck used in those episodes As far as the other 1978 Aerodyne Stunt Truck with the Detroit Engine would go I am aware that it was completely intact and had survived after being used to film some of the episodes in the series, But, As to what had happened to it or what happened to the Fruehauf Dry Van that was vaguely used during the second season of the show remains a mystery to this day as that would be the only truck from the whole entire series and the only trailer from the whole entire series that aren't accounted for today Here is also what the other found third season 1980 B.J. and the Bear Truck looks like today that is owned by John Amstutz Paul Sagehorn's truck was originally found in 2006 in Georgia while it was owned by James Duncan and than a year later in 2007 Paul Sagehorn owned the truck In 2020 John Amstutz's truck was originally found in Florida and was owned by some guy named Chris for many years and Chris sold it to some kid who was going to make a hot rod truck out of it until the kid decided to put it up for sale on E-Bay without even picking it up at Chris' property and that's when John Amstutz ended up buying the truck unseen actually not knowing it was the other third season 1980 B.J. and the Bear with the intentions of building a B.J. and the Bear replica out of it He found out it was the other third season 1980 B.J. and the Bear truck when he had called Mike Johnson that had already confirmed the authenticity of the other third season 1980 B.J. and the Bear truck Paul Sagehorn owns to get the already known vin number of the other third season 1980 B.J. and the Bear truck and sure enough the truck that John Amstutz bought matched the last known vin number for the other third season 1980 B.J. and the Bear truck Paul Sagehorn also and built a very close replica of the third season trucks in 1998 that is titled as a 1984 in which he had sold to another guy named Chris in 2008 after his third season 1980 truck was fully restored and eventually Chris sold that same 1984 B.J. and the Bear replica truck to John Amstutz at the beginning of March in 2012 John Amstutz got offered alot of money to sell the 1984 replica truck in the beginning of March in 2020 to someone out of Georgia which led to him trying to find another Aerodyne to build a replica out of which is how he had came across the other third season 1980 B.J. and the Bear truck As for the two 1972 Brown Reefer Trailers John Amstutz's trailer is in the right hand column and Paul Sagehorn's trailer is in the left hand column

Without including the K-123 Flattop that was used to film the pilot episode there were 5 different Aerodynes throughout all three seasons used to film the show B.J. and the Bear Season One featured a pair of 1978 Kenworth K-100C Aerodynes that both had 15 Speed Transmissions the more "glamorous" and "beauty" truck of that season featured a NTC-400HP Cummins Engine while the stunt truck featured a V892 400HP Detroit Engine The stunt truck that appears in Season One was the only truck that had the turn signals mounted underneath the mirrors and along with the other stunt truck used in the series it had a little peep window on the passenger side door that often was covered with duct tape and the duct tape covering the little peep window was painted red During a Season One episode this truck had a hitch that was mounted on the back of the frame and is the only truck used in the whole entire series that had a hitch mounted on the back of the frame Alot of people often think that the stunt truck used during Season One was the one that was destroyed in one episode and that it's frame used later used as the donor for the Highway Men tv series truck, But, Most didn't know about the stunt truck used in Season Two until recently Both 1978 Trucks left the factory with a solid white cab and the red was painted on by George Sack at Hollywood Universal Studio Truck Lots while one of the Kenworth truck plants painted the black and gold on these two trucks and both trucks were originally supplied by a dealership that went by the name of JT Jenkins From what I can see is that the stunt truck got more screen time during Season One even though the other 1978 Truck was also a Season One truck and was the very first Aerodyne to appear in the series Because of Season Two the other 1978 Truck appears in more episodes than any other truck used in the whole entire series A new stunt truck was added for the second season of the show that was a 1979 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne that had a V892 430HP Detroit Engine with an Automatic Transmission and the writing on the passenger side door is different due to the little peep window on the passenger side door and initially this truck had chrome quarter fenders and chrome sleeper door vents at the start of the second season This was basically the only truck used in the whole entire series that had a white pillar between the two with the first 1978 Truck and the pillar still wasn't painted back red while those episodes were being filmed) and "B.J. and the Whitch" (Again, The pillar was painted white on the 1978 Stunt Truck to match this truck) Otherwise the episodes mentioned above this was always the white pillar between the two windshields truck in the whole entire series This truck was eventually destroyed while filming the second season episode "Siege" and it's frame was later used as a donor for the Highway Men tv series truck This truck was also the only truck in the whole entire series that had red huckle lug nuts on the fronts The truck that appears the most during the second season episodes was the very first 1978 Aerodyne Truck with the Cummins Engine from Season One and it was even painted black with washable black paint and went undercover as a black truck for one of the second season episodes when BJ's truck was stolen Season Three featured a pair of sister 1980 Kenworth K-100C Aerodyne's that were one vin number apart from each other in which both of these two trucks are still verified to be around today and both trucks had a NTC-400HP Cummins Engine with 13 Speed Transmissions One of them is currently under restoration and is owned by someone by the name of John Amstutz out of Pennsylvania while the other one has already been restored and is owned by Paul Sagehorn out of Wisconsin These two trucks also appear in the last four episodes that were filmed for Season Two which would include "Gasohol" and the three part "Run For The Money" episodes The top stripe on these two trucks are alot more laid back than the Season One and Season Two trucks and the stripe isn't flesh with the bottom of the window on the door on these two trucks Season Three also had the 1978 Stunt Truck that was repainted with a Season Three paint scheme that Season and it was vaguely used as a stunt truck for Season Three and you can tell that it's the same truck because of the hitch that was mounted on the back of the frame from Season One, But, Otherwise than that the two 1980 sister trucks mostly did their own stunts and were taken off of the set and fixed immediately if they both some how got damages while pulling off stunts during the third season of the show Throughout all three seasons of the show only two twin 1972 Brown Reefer Trailers were used and both of the two trailers are still verified to be around today and are both each with a 1980 third season truck today One of these two trailers Paul Sagehorn has already restored and the other one is currently under restoration and is owned by John Amstutz The way to tell the two 1972 Brown Reefer Trailers apart from each other is by looking at the bottom of the side of the trailer near the taillights the one that John Amstutz owns today originally had white tips on the side of the bottom of the trailer and also looking at the drivers side corner John Amstutz's trailer had a black square box on the drivers side that gave light signals to the driver in the mirror for the reefer The reefer on both trailers were eventually pulled off sometime after B.J. and the Bear was done being filmed and black boxes were installed underneath both trailers for storage boxes after B.J. and the Bear was done being filmed The second season also vaguely used a dry van that was a Fruehauf that was mainly pulled by the Season Two 1979 Stunt Truck

Yes, Greg Evigan was later on my two dads after B.J. and the Bear Bear's real name was Sam in which Sam had ultimately passed away in the beginning of March back in 2012 at the age of 43 due to heart failure I forget what two other shows they were, But, Before B.J. and the Bear Sam was another chimps stunt double on another production in Hollywood in 1977 and 1978 and than briefly starred in another show in 1984 and 1985 Sam also had two stunt doubles throughout all three seasons while filming B.J. and the Bear one chimp was a girl named Emma that was often the stunt double used for the drunk scenes and the other stunt double was a chimp named Moe that unfortunately was put down back in 1998 after turning on his than owners attacking them at the time I don't know anything on what happened to Emma after B.J. and the Bear besides that she had one other part after B.J. and the Bear where she was the star and other chimps were used as her stunt doubles Moe apparently reached into his diaper on the set of B.J. and the Bear and threw his own poop at one of the girls that had guess starred on the show after she had fought back to Moe trying to hump her leg and rumor has it is that it was Audrey Landers that Moe had tried to hump the leg of After that Moe was never used in anymore Hollywood Productions and was sent back to a Zoo in 1980 that he was previously in for few years between 1977 and 1979 until that Zoo had ended up shutting down in the beginning of 1992 at that time Moe was saved by the owners that he had turned on and that he had attacked when he was put down Before that Moe was the star of his own production in Hollywood between 1972 and 1976 where other chimps were his stunt double
