  1. wish my mind would remind me i'm "a young fella"; when i ask it same reply= what was i suppose to remind you of !!LOL . i have a fight with my sugar , she just gets in the car and goes shopping.😁
  2. every time it's the last two each set.
  3. it's a close call for me; so close it would depend on set-up. take a R700 western, nice paint scheme, some chrome etc. i wasn't a fan of the superliner when first came out vs R's. looking at the "plastic: that's there today=CH----, the superliner is super for a HD lowbed tractor.
  4. how can they be frugal;;; there are toooo many pockets to fill to get contracts. ever wonder why so many cones and barrels at the road job sites; every cone and barrels are some of the add-ons to the cost plus contracts.
  5. if I was only 40 yrs younger. the LTSW has to be one of the best looking Macks of the time period. second cousin to the B-73/75 for a road truck .

location of crack seems important;; yes ? double rail weld done by professional should be safe and legal depending on location of crack. a rail replacement with the exact rail is a challenge ( i've been there); changing rail style good drill and bits;; a lot of drilling
  8. yep i remember now , monogramed names on panel cover;; black / gray in color i think. wasn't at mack by then . this forum keeps the mind going and dementia away (hope)
  9. question?? baskins reefers had 5/8? double sided laminated plywood for the walls inside. would that shed the moisture as good as marine grade plywood? i know it worked great for me turning a day cab into a"bunk" between the seats for my "motel lay-over " LOL ..$$$$ wise don't know the difference. possibly the boys at atlantic would have a partial piece big enough. weather on outside floor might run off with the laminate. just paint the wood exposed edges
  10. welding isn't suppose to be serious;; LOL .. keep it fun and a learning experience. i had 5 welders once= a 115 carry on Lincoln; 2 buss boxes; wire feed airco; and 250 Lincoln trailer mounted tow behind. it's fun to fabricate, but care is needed. road call in a blizzard to repair a bobcat cleaning sidewalks that had a broken wheel hub ; no place to connect ground without screwing up a wheel bearing== i held the ground to the wheel lug nut while laying in the snow ; well i lit up like a Christmas tree when i struck an arc. soaking wet through the coveralls from outside blizzard.
  11. alot more info is with out a doubt needed. what part of the country ordered/used ? a color? '87 were the monogramed steering wheel centers still used== did yours have one if it was custom built?
  12. based on passed events I can tell you your not the first to find two brass washers in a hole; i never heard of one causing a tap noise. like has been said by many here; life is always a learning experience .

  18. amber side lite by 2nd axle / drive step ;; black spot lite above drivers door ;; second half of word haulage missing
  19. can't enlarge the picture for better look ; possibly a "pup trailer style " unit connects to the extension and 5th wheel . i mounted a 48 in slide 5th wheel on a twin screw. it didn't go that far off the frame rails.
  20. and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sir
  21. at 71 yrs old; i've been saying for a while now ;; the golden years aren't golden at all only the dr's reap the gold from my wallet . going for round two(yr later) of cordo shot in the knees next week. don't want to hear what eye dr tells me when i make the over due appointment. 22. they wanted JFK taken down; even if he could have moved one of the shooters would have finish the mission.
  23. being old enough to remember " where were you when news came" President John Kennedy has been assassinated . all the politicians have faults = so do we. JFK was a good pres, i still see lbj's face on the plane after the murder. all he wanted was to get it over with so he and his co conspirators can start the money making scheme( keeping nam going)JFK was standing in the way of. the warren commission "investigated " the plot; why is it they wait 75 yrs after the fact to tell the truth!!! 13 more yrs to go. simple we will all be gone that were around then. no one today cares about the lincoln assassination . joe jr an accident ??? nope .
