    the world lost another Code Talker last week. believe there are only 4 still alive. one Uncle was in the battle of the bulge also a P O W. my older brother survived a tour in nam. to this day he has a piece of steel lodged near the main vein to his heart from there. in the day it was too dangerous to operate. I didn't serve either. diagnosed with a bad heart at 12. made it work till 2015. doc said we open you up and replace parts or you don't see2016

    there is no place that is the wrong place to say THANK YOU to our VETERANS.. appreciate You bringing attention to Purple Heart day. I had a Purple Heart that was found cleaning out my Grandmother's stuff. IT belonged to one of my Uncles. both of which deserved One. guess it can be said to be fortunate I didn't know which one;; A person receiving the Medal doesn't have their name imprinted on the back if they are still surviving.

    while working at a Mack dealer early '70's a major construction Co bought 20 brand new DM's . a few had blow by from valve cover vent. wasn't considered a problem. on the other hand, a used truck depending on mileage /hrs ; blow by doesn't always mean a needed engine rebuild. open oil filler cap while it's running; how much blow-by out the cap vs out the vent.

    yellow mack roof marker light missing one line missing on road ; 3 vs 4 between mack 4 and 5 guess i should reply to notices i get from my eye doctor to schedule an over due appointment ; at least use my eye drops. LOL this taxes the mind and eyes. but SO much fun. high school reunion was 53 yrs ago ;; lets not think of grammer school where we did these "tests"

    that's what is called a work of art. no plastic tyraps holding lines etc. all the proper rubber insulated clamps. i'm sure you don't want to sit and total the $$$$$ or man hours when done; but driving down the road or sitting at a show makes it all worth while.

    seems by the picture and the post . he bought a B-model CAB. guess that counts out the right frame rail numbers. unless he had removed the cab to work on it?

    progress is looking good. 5 steps forward and only one step back. better the leak situation showed now ; not miles down the road. I stopped at atlantic trailer other day for parts pick up. couldn't believe the "fleet " of trucks/ trailers on the wall in service office. 40 minutes later I left the office after talking to ? forgot his name. the builder of those scratch built 18th scale units. we got to talking of your B-73. he knows you and had nothing but positive to say about you being one of the best people. looking forward ;as we all know you are to see the 73 parked at a truck show soon.

    trucks looking real good. the B81/DM800 chassis are the best. I have a DM800 with stretched chassis waiting for completion; redoing mounts to take a cummins twin turbo. also two 800's built back in the '70's waiting for repair.

    the diamond fused cut off wheels work well; thinner wheels can be a challenge (danger) if not super careful. thinner ones fracture easier with blade bits flying.

    as a thought; if the battery is stone dead, did you try another good battery for start up? a low battery can improve with a boost; stone dead ;; you might not have enough for start up.

    i had a chop saw; now i use a deep cut portable bandsaw. personal opinion- the band saw works better . no where near the sparks . as early stated it takes a minute (or2 ) to get straight cuts.

    nice lookin fleet ; specially the steel nose DM . are those perlux lights on the steel nose . didn't think they were even in existence any more. were you at the brooklyn show ? seems i saw the Gillis name on a truck recently now can't remember where.

    have you mentally got a road ready date ? definitely waiting for the first appearance at local truck show.

    no Macks in the barn or yard☹️. 4 walk behinds and attachment. lots of tools etc.
