enlarged the picture of green COE with DD on back looking at the step assist on front wheel. question now is;; what / why the small multi leave spring on frame behind front wheel??? not cab lift assembly ??
-
now that must be one heck of a great gathering. thanks for pictures. the "down under " trucks seem so different and unique from US versions.

having both , seems to me someone "upgraded" parking brake system. does the DM have actual maxi cans or can on inside frame with cross shaft through frame with long rod going to brake can ? a system used due to clearance issues and/or before one can did both service and parking brake as known today. the Santa Maria had the one can parking brake -updated;; the nina had the older style parking brake == (that's for you Jojo)== LMAO

have seen a "tube" of goop/blue glue on only one wheel also!! then find a wheel that the wrong silicone glue was used and the glue was NOT compatible to gear oil. big ring of snot rolling around axle inside tube. had the fancy pliers made for the cones removal; worked some times most not. don't forget the axle soo stuck on the hub you get carried away with the 20 lb sledge (and pissed) low and be hold there goes a stud or two smashed. not to say I never hit a stud to the point I welded a 5/8th die to a large nut which fit a socket !!😱 a good can of brake clean spraying the cones has at times helped the glue shrivel making cone removal easier.be very careful of brake clean messing up nice polished alum wheel though. -

unsure at this age ; I thought the cone axles always had gaskets? neverseize was used on the cones by me==light film. . don't recall goop and neverseize on same axle which would indicate a gasket was there. hub studs kept gasket in place -if needed a small amount of sealant on hub to gasket area . -

gaskets of days gone by ; like many applications are replaced by "goop". hopefully you did put some type of sealant on axle/hub. with goop sealant the tightening process need more care. reasonable layer of goop then evenly tighten bolts . air gun and super torque uneven may thin out the goop in one area resulting in leak. -

that explains things better. . couldn't find torque. in todays world of high tech EVERY fastener has a recommended torque. simple fact is most are unnecessary;; common sense takes priority. axle flange nuts (5/8 fine thread --15/16 socket ). with gasket or without ?? even torque with air gun in staggered opposite location around hub. -
making a repair to squeaking window VS going in for rebuild/ paint is little different. to make easy roll less noise a can of lube having a plastic extension on nozzle works wonders. roll window up stick spray extension between window and door channel then spray area which the crank mechanism is approximately located along with side channels . too much spray you have a mess and grease rolls out bottom= paint won't stick. window up puts less grease on glass also mechanism near top . reality it's better to remove complete window panel and do it right under your situation of owning and painting truck.

possibly you can't find a torque number based on there might not be one written in "stone". I never torque a wheel hub nut. it was more based on feel (experience )? had one ole martin flat bed (grease bearings) which took a while to figure. inner nut brought to "spec" the bearing way too tight after install/ tightening outer nut. the inner nut had to be so loose , wheel set wobbled. install outer nut and tighten ; wheel set perfect. oil or grease bearings make a difference. bearings are lubed / center hub filled to max without making a mess light lube on seal -depending on seal type. C/R seals spin within themselves , I always put small amount of oil on the two mating parts of seal and manually spin the seal before install. ; install outer bearing and all nuts/ locks = bring to a reasonable tight then spin the wheel based on wheel set was on a wheel dolly not just hub. if the wheel stops spinning and rolls back - it's a tad to loose. stops to sudden = it's too tight. -
wait till you get old the biggest challenge is having high hopes of :: the stem hitting the target before you both fall a sleep!! LOL

now remember the two minute job project is for REMOVAL .tumbler '' not including door panel install having key to put in tumbler is 3 minutes. LOL . total remove/ install door panel is ??? . can be total turn around time (not including repairs ) 10-- ?? minutes.
-
part 2 - knew I forgot some thing earlier post. IF door has the key tumbler still intact ' with the key in lock (helps hold tumbler - not needed ) with a pair of needle nose pliers on inner door next to door latch remove thin tumbler locker. has a bend to keep it in place, push toward outer shell then pull out of door. sounds technical = it's not . thin locker will pull out 3/4 way out =remove tumbler . simple two minute job.

all outer philips head boats removed . IMPORTANT == the 3 = three screws 0n door latch removed ; leave the door handle/ window crank attached for panel removal. a slight shimmy/ shake panel will drop down low enough to remove assembly.

for years American people actually thought their votes put someone in the white house ! now with this electronic vote crap ; it's way easier for the power hungry people to make numbers in their favor. If they put donald back in PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to the VP; that's who will be running the country when they "take donald out. news is showing the professional border crossers. sorry kids !😢🎖️😢.only the thoughts of a senile old man saddened thinking of the many soldiers and service people that gave their lives to defend us.

not defending the puppet; but he's doing what is being told. it's more the "behind the scenes" idiots (past presidents ) with a power control ego ruining this country. news this am had sad story of whistle blower from boeing "committed suicide "; really ?? Mexican cartel stronger then police according to news. what about the US cartel running this country in to the ground.
-
Its so darn sad the puppets they PUT in that office are dumber than snot. over joyed friend just told my wife yesterday her daughter/ son-in - law expecting twins. I tried to show positive face. this country is doomed =sorry future generations.

David Bradley is the tractor that started my collection. of the 50-60 walk behinds I HAD ' 20 + were bradleys. had an early '46 mint condition. still favored the standard twins/ Vikings. two cyl with hi -lo transmission. newest unit I had was a '49 standard twin .

ok a NYC city bus == 2 speed auto could be practical; don't see many going fast between bus stops and traffic lights. having been SO fortunate to have made many deliveries (a while back= ) having 45 ft and 32 ft trailers . never got unit up to speed. unless on occasion I could time the lights. 10/ 13 speed transmissions rarely saw high range DURING deliveries. NOW leaving city a totally different story. LOL

Finally some DM progress

depending on location. certain areas of the hood will benefit if using good grade plywood type which can be left in the fiberglass mold. hood latches, hinge mounting bolt area. little bit of engineering , area of latches having the wood , you can drill and install proper size nutserts into the wood replacing the broken bolts from disassembly .if using plastic jugs/ bottles for forming definitely scrub/ wash any oil residue from plastic first.
