  1. now we don't know about that to which you speak. plane going to an in house party ;; not in the world of construction. no one knows how a Mack dealer in CT received the final bid from NHTR ( new haven truck rental ) for over 200 new Macks in mid 70's (except this young kid ) asked to keep an open bay at night before closing. still goes on today; except today it 's $$$$$$
  2. NO DON'T spend give me a day . have magnetic OTC. it's yours
  3. you will have soon Jojo ; give me some time .worked on a screening plant today changing screens , owner came over said " weren't you here when this screener was new "? yes I was ;; "kids today don't know how to repair they just change parts; . 72 yrs old climbing on a screening plant to remove /change screens . ARE YOU FU--- serious,
  4. just when I think I'm maxed out on what I forgot= a post like this shows up. books are gone so is memory banks, have been there done that situation can't remember the numbers .
  5. my thoughts exactly. slight adjustment to max RPM screw can be done. with fuel peddle check max RPM. remove pin from fuel pump disconnecting linkage manually run up RPMs . check any difference. cab mount set up while driving may be cutting full fuel . I wouldn't be changing internal springs. check all fuel linkage pins . have seen a Mack engine run away (title usually held buy DD). scared the heck out me. fuel shut off cable has been know to keep an engine from full fuel as stated.
  6. when I had my Grandparents farm with the intent of keeping it running; the chickens were part of it. for me the fresh egg idea is great but not worth the negatives associated with chickens. they are sloppy kicking food all over which brought the rats =not mice rats. got a few with 22 /bird shot . since we didn't have large family at the time - was cheaper/ easier to buy eggs. on the "bright side" according to todays news ;; gas prices are lower today: which means it will cost you less going to a market so you can spend more for what you are buying.
  7. NOT all pictures need to be 100% restored. take Bobs (mowerman) DM 600 in progress restoration would cover a summer month since its outside work sun shining (june/ july ?)
  8. wouldn't go the route of calling it a dumb question; more to a little confusing , if the max bumper /bumper is for legal paperwork 'I suggest a helper and long tape measure. guessing the number could be any where. frame 2-3 in behind rear axle would indicate tires stick out ?? standard question ;; any pictures ? dump body? tractor ?
  9. just imagine if O&G were still a Mack fleet. back then working for Waterbury Mack ,I set up and delivered O&G's new triaxles #'s 356-376. the quads showed up after I left Mack .
  10. update 12/10/23 ..this truck now resides in Woodbury CT. same one i looked at other day but couldn't climb aboard due to knees said" no climbing today".
  11. that's an easy fix ==build a bigger house. 🤣 or you can use the "no room "idea to build a large storage building ;in the mechanic world we call it a garage.
  12. that is not an AC condenser on chassis side rail ?is it ??
  13. you didn't miss it Bob; can't work 16/18 hr days and be reading every post. your doing a great job of checking in on the older post to keep other member minds refreshed .🤣
  14. looks like the subtitles are one picture off. still excellent pictures .
  15. back in the good days when Mack roamed the land !! those dump body ribs were the "talk of the town" after being seen motivating up/down the highway around here. guess that's why they made the Mack calendar and O&G didn't. not adding O&G to the calendar cost Mack plenty. soon O&G became "another brand "fleet.
  16. did you order the cab (B's) conversions or the complete truck kit ?? all truck models being manufactured today are 3-D printed. there are one or two companies doing cab conversions . I haven't heard latest info on what's happening (if anything ) to AITM ; late Dave Natale . looking forward to a positive on the scale B's from BMT
  17. "16 days in a row; I was doing that in my30s" . aren't mechanics suppose to ? no one told me not to ..LOL. I did 16 + days in my 30s =40s- 50s! ;; lets forget my 60s. at least my 70s have slowed down.😱
  18. take that picture in todays world there would be a rainbow flag or paint job on the veeehikal
  19. shape looking truck though. hood scoop :tip turbine equipped ?
  20. that's one project I never had involvement in ; and never gave thought to. possibly that's a good thing. the transmission or any transmission in a DMM sits above a set of axles! how does a jack cradle a transmission or is it necessary to remove at least one axle for access ?? with that particular set up having a tank ,job has to be a nitemare. I would do some serious investigating (which is why your on here :I know) to get all technical specs terms of differences an automatic would make if any. defiantly favor the idea "repair the exhaust. " ; easy and most practical way out " doesn't solve the 2nd gear operation.
  21. I'm likin the idea of a truck calendar more and more. with Matts B-73 wreath on front and B-42 have December covered . now question is what month would superliner cover ? nice picture unusual setting which makes it unique.
  22. carried a B.A.R. = Browning Automatic Rifle. belly gunner one of the worst and vulnerable positions . THANK YOU
  23. think I'll start taking bets on :: which one will Bob finish first ' the DM600 full scale or the DM800 1/25th scale ?? he's under pressure now ..LOL knowing Bob he'll pull a fast one and have both done looking mint for the truck show season next year. LOL YOU can do it ; mowerman
  24. have to maintain the physical body so the ability is there to keep the DM progress going!! how's that for getting back on track/topic.🤣
  25. my Chinese land lady brought me some meds from Chinese store . two part system . one is same as a red iodine -no mess. then the square patch. I use a lot. rub the "iodine" on the knees with cotton swab then the sticky patch over it. the heat felt is amazing compared to the other pharmacy brands I've tried::: and boy have i tried most if not all others.
