  1. can't help with the trans at this time but- 1- real sharp looking unit , 2- how is the twin stack set up done. open door blocks view.
  2. a "HEADliner"is like an auction PIECE, bidding for TV fame is short lived , most networks want ratings ; will bid and pay for those ratings.
  3. have to agree with wire tracing to be sure. museum might send info of what it was built as : not what someone may have changed it over to through the yrs. you looking to make it an original then museum info important.
  4. she will be all set for a while by the $$$ being made doing talk shows..
  5. have seen filters changed didn't realize old filter rubber washer stayed on base. didn't seal properly. statement " new filters WHEN it started acting up. can translate that sentence a number of ways ::: new filters BECAUSE it was acting up // or started acting up AFTER new filters. !!
  6. what model fan hub is used in todays world?? remember one set up would take two bolts threaded into front locking fan to hub . possibly that set up used air to engage the fan. ??
  7. what model fan is on your engine ?? viscous fan fluid controlled
  8. "98 kinda new for me, back in the day of the horton fan clutch they were air operated having a shutterstat controlling air flow. it took air to disengage the fan. made that way should there be an issue with lack of air the fan stayed on. to put in a over ride meant installing a switch going to output side of shutterstat. keepin mind this was before all the computer/ module / back feed stuff now.
  9. tank vent a good possibility if one tank unit. bad vent think it should run a tad longer ; remove fuel cap see if it runs longer.
  10. one fuel tank or two ?? two tanks must have top mount equalizer fitting . to wait 10 mins / crank and restart ? i go with the air leak on suction line ; seems odd it would pick up fuel and restart if fuel was draining back to tank . were supply lines replaced to correct loosing fuel issue ? hair line crack on first primary filter base (suction side )??
  11. the idea of fair trials ended back in the western days. fair trial was when two people went out in the street and paced off 40 ft fastest shot won. no one seems to consider the $$$$$ wasted for all the trial legal crap just for the gain of a few with power gain in mind.
  12. my wife is talking of getting out of renting and buying AGAIN. well after spending the day at my daughters working on house they just bought yesterday ::: renting works for me. can't bend or move well now. ""Dad , sink has a problem " == well who's going to bend that far down under sink !!! LOL with the help of an excavator 2 yrs ago where we are now has a very private swimming hole . oh ya
  13. Sharpe looking profile picture. two trucks red -green ; so different yet so much the same .
  14. why wasn't the JFK or clinton issues of same nature made out to be such a big deal . times changing and this makes a distraction to the "rising " covid numbers while closing in on up coming election. once again === sorry grandkids
  15. eliminated the "protection mode " possibly another way of saying :: I didn't fix anything , but here's the bill. if there is an electrical situation; why would some one eliminate any safety devices ??
  16. on my 1/25th scale builds , the computers are disconnected to save battery power LOL
  17. you should have been around when alternators FIRST came in to use on big trucks from factory. there was a major constant electrical draw. new trucks at the dealer could stay on the front line for weeks , cold or warm weather , turn key they would start right up:::: IF THEY HAD A GENERATOR. alternator set up batteries were dead in few days.
  18. I know i'm too old for change in many areas ; I have some 3-D printed units . to me the resin molds have more correct detail. BUT as is said opinions are like a$$holes ; everyone has one. 3-D is making it easier for many things to be made = no need for expense molding forms. always a positive some where. glass half empty or half full
  19. based on ole school, I agree with the bad ground JoJo. but that would be for the lights acting f--ked up . that wouldn't kill the batteries . 2011 is way tooo new for me to know the electrical system. batteries going dead would lead to relay/ module /open circuit with key off. honestly I never knew of a "protection mode. will defiantly be watching for a cure on this one for new day knowledge.
  20. glad it's fixed , for the sake of $$$ hope it didn't become " lets change parts till we find something" .. side note I thought we were "working" on right rear axle .
  21. no tee in the system going to a up rite exhaust , top it off with bulldog on the hood, it will become a single stack Mack.🤣🤣
  22. I would go with the idea of :: what would the neighbors prefer. noise concern of curved dual up vs dual up straight stack ;; just sayin:: my vote is dual up.
  23. this may have been posted before. no association with me just another auctionzip find. 5/1/23 JMW auctions 3852 state route 28:::: Boiceville , NY number of Mack cabs , vehicles and other misc iron.

  24. yrs back I was honored to know an elder gent who was a machinist. worked full time at major machine shop ; had section of his garage set up with three-phase. (not common in residential area ). he was able to purchase large lathes etc from company. never carried a tape measure instead had micrometers at all times. watched him make pins/ bushings allowing only enough tolerance for thickness of grease!! tattoo on his arm group of numbers ; he never could talk about them :: He survived the concentration camp . such a talented self learned Man.
  25. it's not always the mechanic if he's working at a big time dealer shop. sad side is like the medical field pushes pills; the Maintenace area seems to be pushing parts. so different from yrs back (for the most part).
