  1. bringing back the good stuff , don't forget to add the Red Skelton show. now that was comedy at it's finest . didn't have to use foul language to make you laugh.
  2. drove a variety of motorized iron through the yrs from big rigs , HD construction equipt, don't know if they all had puff limiters :: how's that for staying on topic !!never drove/rode on motorized two wheels transportation. possibly results from my head on crash with a school bus at 18 yrs old while on a bicycle . busted up ; and taped up for long time. those are nice looking bikes posted.
  3. the roofing nail !!! now i remember . this web site is the best remedy for early mind loss. and a good ; no A great laugh ..... take the nail cut it short ; was a close perfect size for in the line..
  4. I;ve been tellin the youger generation same thing - don't bring children into this rotten place. want enjoyment with a larger family;; go to an animal shelter, they have many puppies, cats etc looking for a loving home, so darn sad the greed for power; not even money anymore. these clowns have billions and more, sickness is power.
  5. easiest way is to call them all engine brakes; whether it be a dynatard, power leash, brake leash or (best for last ) jake brake!! LOL long as it's NOT called exhaust brake . which are good just not best. my '93 Hino had an exhaust brake . I found it to be great for a little 6 wheeler when max out on GVW.
  6. Bimber is a new word for me . don't recall ever giving or hearing of the cyl having a name. I have on occasion changed valves in some of the worse location and they were given names .
  7. for an ole man such as myself, reading how the computers are taking more responsibility for the driving;/operation of the big rigs. it's like the tv commercials showing the self driving cars. basically the computer puts the engine brake on . times change . guess it's a positive.
  8. small cylinder with 1/4 in line ; start of "we are going to save the environment "craze . like all things new , problems came with them. had shims to set plunger depth.
  9. hope the "power leash " took lesson from dynatard actually does something besides make noise 😄
  10. I didn't think the two pin slack/ clevis arrangement was still used. is that the style having a direction arrow ?? don't remember .. I see one rubber hose going to the can, plastic coming out other size. did anyone disconnect the service lines at the can side and install gauges to watch pressures?? agree with latest comments discussing push rod angle ; there's a situation .
  11. when all was apart, slack was off - did anyone spin the cam see if movement was free and easy; or spin it 180??? I'd put added return spring on slack as in earlier picture . brake can reported as being new= same size as others 30-30/ 24-30. was the service brake line from valve to can removed and check for failing inner rubber lining??? is the line same size as rest ??? 1/2 in
  12. with all the $$$$$ spent ,one item was slack adjuster that kinda eliminated the rusted clevis ; I think! makes you want to take a trip to physically see the truck. so many $$$ based on maybe . find your self racking brain cells as to what else is left . some thing sooo simple is being over looked : don't know what...
  13. can the phrase having issues be narrowed down ? low side works ; not great or not working at all. do the new solenoids have o-rings ?? possibly failed o-ring. which case a solenoid can be heard when current placed to it yet faulty o-ring would lessen working capabilities ??? i' m liking to learn the new stuff.
  14. I've noticed this vaping business going on in vehicles seems to create a heck of a lot of smoke. may be take a swig of 15-40 then do some vaping ;; that should help with the smoke😝
  15. try some cheap fuel or dump some oil in fuel tanks 🙄🙄😕😷!!!!! this question must be some type of joke
  16. from a mechanical standpoint (personal opinion only) its a positive for someone to 1= save some old iron;2 = had to use at least a little mental thoughts instead of computer to engineer the entire set up . 3=modification for a fun isn't all bad. how the term rat rod ever came to be associated with the modified iron not sure.
  17. did you install a mack clutch or a spicer??
  18. the shop responsible for damage ; company shop or private company. wouldn't shop be liable for replacing of new block ???

  19. the explosion has to one heck of a noise. yrs back I was in an old cris craft in board when the 4 cyl flathead exploded. . noise and vibration unreal. piston came out starter / gen side; only thing that stopped it from going through wooden hull.
  20. guess it depends on how many shots and beers consumed 😨
  21. seems to me if quick release valve is faulty; tendency would be both wheels effected ? one valve for two wheels. jack up rear axle so both wheels spin. set on jack stands ; chock front wheels SAFETY IS PRIORITY sLOWLY put in gear while someone watches ' apply brakes and release;; back in gear slowly or after brake release try manual spin each wheel.
  22. amazing how the mind goes after the technical possibility's before looking towards a simple solution many times. a serviced unit may be greased regular yet the simple items such as clevis pins overlooked.
  23. notice the auxiliary helper return spring in picture of blue trailer axle on slack adjuster. possible another slow acting brake can. maybe that's what this truck needs
  24. wheel loose enough to screw up braking should 1 - wobble noticeably-2 have wheel seal leak , should have been noticed by the mechanic. need two people ; one to watch brake action while other applies brakes. leaning towards rusted clevis pin in slack.
  25. they don't need to invent the votes ;; that was one purpose of taking down the border wall so "new votes" can come over. what other way would they : thank this nice man that let us in other then vote for him. the voting machines will be like store cash registers; no words just pictures " for those that can't read english. SAD
