  1. I dont have a lot of DD knowledge, But my 2nd favorite engine is a 12.7 L. I know its not mechanical but to me it is a million mile engine and can do the work.. I wish I knew those engines as good as I do the Mack's that I build..
  2. I take great pride in my Builds.. I will never boast about ME, I will just put my best effort into it. The last tranny i did was a TRD 72. it will be behind the ENDT 673 that I am building along with this E-Tech.. another part of givin a damn is that I will buy the right tools. I paid $2,800.00 for that counter bore cutter because the last engine I did for the same friend/customer needed to be cut, and I was not about to hire that out since I know how to do it..
  3. Thanks Mech.. From the begining, I always took notes from tear down to re-assembly. I use my brain and micrometers, and measure the liner heights and counter bores as I diss assemble, then in this case I measured the shims that were on the liners, then I install my test liner to check protrusion again. then today, after I cut each one, I measured depth, and recorded it in my book, then ... just a few minutes ago, I did the math to determine the shim pack I will need for each cylinder, and wrote it down. I sent the info to my customer. He said he will buy the shims and send them to me.. Yes!!!! I give a Damn !!!! I have a stack of note books. Jojo
  4. as far as medical booze goes... My wife will put some Rock & RYE in a cup with honey and lemon juice, and heat it up, when its cool enough, down the hatch it goes.. if she makes it a triple, I go Nite Nite in about 20 minutes after I drink it.. Happy Day to You ,,Paul
  5. Well I finally had a cool day to work in my shop.. I put a pair of heads on an ENDT 673, then I cut counter bores in an E-Tech. im giving my brain a break. I concentrate so hard when cutting, it wears me out I hope y'all are having a good weekend. Jojo
  6. I dont have as much time as many here, but ONE thing I ALWAYS believed is... this IS a BROTHERHOOD. on BMT you will find the best of the best... Jojo
  7. $2,500.00 buy it for parts. Then get a 'runner' and marry the parts.. as far as the trailer.. I'm clue less...

  10. Im sorry that I don't know if another way. I figured you knew how to do what I posted. If I find another way this weekend I will post it. I happen to have a 2 valve and an E-Tech in my shop..

  12. well his son made a lot of money from Barrisma... A Ukraine company.. thats al I got.
  13. He,,, J.B.,,, is only concerned about Ukraine... Not.... Ohio/ Florida/ Hawaii/ or You and Me.. oop's, I forgot illegal's walking in our southern border.. Oh yeah,,, White's are Racist, and Trump is BAD..
  14. Buddy... if you pull the front valve cover, and the #1 injector, you can indicate TDC on #1 with clean rod in the injector bore set on top of the piston, then roll the engine clockwise til the rod stops rising. then you will be at TDC. if you go passed it to get the feel for it, just reverse and turn the engine at least 30 degrees to take out the gear lash, and start over.. once you are happy with that, look at the #2 exhaust rocker arm, it should be ''Rocked'' pushing the valve open.. if it is not and both rockers on #2 are even and have lash, then you are on #6, and need to roll the engine clockwise 360 and do it again.. once done you can make any needed mark on the balancer for later use.. P.S. I have been wondering how your ''Wing'' has healed up? Jojo
  15. Did you expose a good bit of the wire to read all the codes? I'm not able to answer that question.
  16. I have over 20 engine book downloads. I put them on CD's and have a CD folder. I make 2 copies plus the the one that is save on my shop computer..

  19. thats great... was it a free PDF.?
  20. So... here I go again... tell me why every night on the Lib. News, there is a negative story or 2, about schools and school busses and education? and 2nd.. what ever happened to the cocaine in the white house, and #3 Kamala answered ''YES !'' about taking over as president,,, faster than anything I ever saw her respond too.. I have some thoughts.....
  21. Your welcome.. I can be hard for me to post info without either over doing it, or leaving some info out. :).
  22. It will.. here is a quick lesson.. On the white wires, which is 99 %of them Is alpha numeric codes.. exp. VJ1-12-.5.. that means... VECU J1 plug, pin 12, wire size .5... Exp #2: EJ2 - 10- .5... Same idea... EECU, J2 plug, pin 10, wire size .5. Does what I wrote make sense to you? This code can be used to check the wire with a DVOM from one end to the other. The book I posted is excellent and has many specs and flow charts for diagnostics.. Jojo
  23. $3.59 here for gas... Diesel is around $4.19
  24. ok.. got it now.. thats a lot,,
  25. .001'' difference? i dont see an issue... i really wish some E-6 guys will chime in.. on the E-7's I build, there is a .002'' allowable varience between adjacent cylinders, ( 1-3 + 4-6).. Based on this post, I dont see an issue that needs a counter bore cut..
