  1. when you clean the spot on the front really good, you will see the ratio is stamped into the housing.. just in case you wanted to know.
  2. Interesting question.. I know that if you have 18 bolt heads, its a no-go..
  3. What do you want to bet that Maui will be sold to China, for $24.00 in junk jewlery??
  4. I saw the picture of the rear frame. I didnt see a seam or joint where the frame was stretched.. Maybe Bob can take a look for a seam, and also look on the frame for the VIN. Mech, The VIN is on the right front frame rail, right? I know on newer trucks it is, but I cant remember on the 70's models.
  5. I can try.. I will be working from memory, so there is good chance I may not know,,,
  6. are you looking to change the saddles, or the box rubbers? Wheel seals will be easy. can you post a picture of the top of the carriers, and the the bowl in the banjo housing? i'm wondering if you have cast iron housings or steel housings.
  7. do you know, roughly what year the rears are?
  8. Bob, you should be able to get part numbers and cross references from Mack. using the model and last '6' of the VIN
  9. Bob, The wheel seals are readily available.. I cant remember the number, but Stemco has a good one piece rubberized seal, that is easy to install without a special driver.
  10. and some Americans still support him and his cabinet... Go Figure??
  11. If I was a Cartoonist, my MEME would be the picture of Sleepy Joe sittin on the beach in Delaware, while in the background, His home state is burning down.. I wonder he would have ''No Comment'' about that.. What a pig, he cant even visit them and offer aid. But Ukraine gets Billions more promised to them.
  12. Yes it has wires on it
  13. I used to manage a fleet of 28 trucks and 35 trailers, Moffets and so on.. Drivers would push the limits on the fuel gauge because they thought they could make it back to the shop.. They run out of fuel, now I have road call... when a driver runs it out of fuel a couple times, thats when I adjust the fuel sender so that it looks like there is less fuel in the tanks.. Hell, it aint like they are pre-tripping, so Theres no way they are opening fuel caps to get a visual on the fuel level..
  14. Dual tanks isnt too important, other than I was hoping you had a lot of fuel on board. I assume you have a crossover hose at the bottom of the tanks?
  15. Take it from the top and go slow, DCW..
  16. Heck, dont feel bad.. when we work on so many things at one time, it is possible to miss something basic..
  17. do you have dual tanks? the fuel sender is adjustable. match mark the sender before you remove it. It only goes in 1 way correctly. when its out, just bend the float arm ''down'' just a little bit, put it in with 2 screws and turn the key on to see the adjustment. repeat until you like what you see. My guess is the previouse owner set it that way because his driver would push the limits of the fuel level, and run it out of fuel.. Ask me how I know?
  18. He has 2 different postings on this. I'm waiting til, better pics are posted.
  19. This looks like the same turbo posted in the other one you reacted to.. I'm not. Going to post anymore til I see a wide shot of the turbo and the series 60 DD.
  20. I think of that everyday.. I was raised by combat veterans.. I hate watching, losers get all the freebies with no output to earn a damn thing.. Thank you Mech... Jojo
  21. ok, well I doubt someone would try to add some cushion to them. I figured if you were going to do them you might try it, because its your labor and not Hi Dollar labor.
  22. I have never done that, it just popped in my little brain.. Have you found a vendor for the bolster kit? I have used ATRO many times. It comes with the bolts too. however, I put washers on both ends of the bolts so the kit is short 12 washers.
  23. that makes sense. the viens are open so boost is lost, there is not enough forced air to mix with the dose of fuel sent through the injectors..
