  1. do you know, roughly what year the rears are?
  2. Bob, you should be able to get part numbers and cross references from Mack. using the model and last '6' of the VIN
  3. Bob, The wheel seals are readily available.. I cant remember the number, but Stemco has a good one piece rubberized seal, that is easy to install without a special driver.
  4. and some Americans still support him and his cabinet... Go Figure??
  5. If I was a Cartoonist, my MEME would be the picture of Sleepy Joe sittin on the beach in Delaware, while in the background, His home state is burning down.. I wonder he would have ''No Comment'' about that.. What a pig, he cant even visit them and offer aid. But Ukraine gets Billions more promised to them.
  6. Yes it has wires on it
  7. I used to manage a fleet of 28 trucks and 35 trailers, Moffets and so on.. Drivers would push the limits on the fuel gauge because they thought they could make it back to the shop.. They run out of fuel, now I have road call... when a driver runs it out of fuel a couple times, thats when I adjust the fuel sender so that it looks like there is less fuel in the tanks.. Hell, it aint like they are pre-tripping, so Theres no way they are opening fuel caps to get a visual on the fuel level..
  8. Dual tanks isnt too important, other than I was hoping you had a lot of fuel on board. I assume you have a crossover hose at the bottom of the tanks?
  9. Take it from the top and go slow, DCW..
  10. Heck, dont feel bad.. when we work on so many things at one time, it is possible to miss something basic..
  11. do you have dual tanks? the fuel sender is adjustable. match mark the sender before you remove it. It only goes in 1 way correctly. when its out, just bend the float arm ''down'' just a little bit, put it in with 2 screws and turn the key on to see the adjustment. repeat until you like what you see. My guess is the previouse owner set it that way because his driver would push the limits of the fuel level, and run it out of fuel.. Ask me how I know?
  12. He has 2 different postings on this. I'm waiting til, better pics are posted.
  13. This looks like the same turbo posted in the other one you reacted to.. I'm not. Going to post anymore til I see a wide shot of the turbo and the series 60 DD.
  14. I think of that everyday.. I was raised by combat veterans.. I hate watching, losers get all the freebies with no output to earn a damn thing.. Thank you Mech... Jojo
  15. ok, well I doubt someone would try to add some cushion to them. I figured if you were going to do them you might try it, because its your labor and not Hi Dollar labor.
  16. I have never done that, it just popped in my little brain.. Have you found a vendor for the bolster kit? I have used ATRO many times. It comes with the bolts too. however, I put washers on both ends of the bolts so the kit is short 12 washers.
  17. that makes sense. the viens are open so boost is lost, there is not enough forced air to mix with the dose of fuel sent through the injectors..
  18. From what I re ember, that setup is pnuematic. It is a simple system using boost pressure to open the waste gate when boost is too high. I do not recall a computer is used to control it.. You should be able to un hook the accuator and move the lever to see if the ring nozzle is sticking. also the pin could be frozen which will jam the ring nozzle in any position. I believe the accuator is replaceable with out needing a computer.. I have also taken these turbos apart to clean the ring nozzle.. You have options. It would be good to see a picture of the turbo.. Jojo
  19. I feel your pain Brocky.. However, My Southern 'Corn bread fed' wife ''Loves'' my ''Gravy'' ( spaghetti sauce for the rest of you) .. I actually just blanched a bunch of tomato's and there is a pot of gravy on the stove right now.. She will just stand there and smell it a few times while it is cooking.. Im sorry Bob, for sidetracking this one. I'm on Quarentine again, thanks to the Kung Flu.. Already bored to death.. P.S. I was Raised in an Italian family in New Yawk. Brooklyn and East Islip Lawng Gyland... till i was 11. I learned a lot about eating and cooking, from my Immigrant Grand Mothers, and my Mother..
  20. Dave I know that Vintage Fire truck and the Owner. I built a few engines for him and was heavily involved in the rebuilding of some of his Super liners.. The wheel chair modification is really nice.. I beleive we took it to the Spencer N.C. show 2 years ago when I met You.. Jojo
  21. oh.. gotcha... that sucks. I wonder if you could use a plastic mud flap to make some shims, and slid them between the twinkies and the box?
  22. yep, more info please.. It looks like a turbo from an ASET-C.. if it is the same issue in another post?
  23. It won't dump fuel. You will just have your foot in it trying make it go..
  24. I don't know why some trucks were built without them. I guess I should have asked, I just always installed them with new bolsters..
