  1. Good deal, and good luck,, 25-30 PSI Boost.. I cant give you an exact PSI..
  2. yes to the oil wicking. I believe you have an ASET-C engine.. 3 EECU plugs?
  3. Aint that the truth... MC.... I'm 30 miles North of Charlotte,,, our local T.V. Media and advertisements prove your point.. Too bad ... I'm afraid to elaborate on this.. I have a good reputation here,, and kinda want to keep it that way..
  4. the metal on the plug is pretty light,, the metal on the RPM/TDC sensor is heavy, I would check the condition of the wires for that sensor as far up as you can. Have you checked the push rods and valve bridges, basically everything under the valve covers?
  5. Thats great news.. I'm glad we pointed you to it.. Jojo
  6. I have rad a lot of older posts here.. seems to me that todays guys want instant answers.. rather than some chit chat about options, and getting a few opinions.. Thier loss.. anyway, Happy Saturday..
  7. Bob,,, It happens a lot... Youve seen it too many times.. I have actually avoided some posts recently, because I felt like I would waste my time.. no biggie... I just wait for something I can help on...
  8. I lean towards keeping it and E-Tech.... The cam and the cam key are different, no big deal, the pushrods may all be 417 rods.. yes,,, the engine brake in the AI is much better than the Jacob's 690 set-up... the lifters need to be steel,, ( my opinion only) I dont like the ceramic ones.. Maybe you can post more details about the bad engine, and why its bad.. Pictures help a bunch too.. Jojo
  9. I never met him. However it was obvious that he was good Man just from the posts he wrote. He was also a wealth of knowledge, and shared it here, whether it was Macks, or Farm Tractors, or whatever Machine you asked about.. I know that there are many here who knew him. Wish I did.. May He Rest in Peace... Jojo
  10. Dude... You lucked up !!! That is great... Jojo
  11. Hmmm.. is it the engine shutdown light? Is it an MR model or LE? Is the coolant tank on a stanchion behind the cab? A picture of the light would help..
  12. In my area, I used "overdrive rebuilders".. they have PAI parts.
  13. Merry Christmas to you Bud,, Let me guess??? 'From Mech- to Mech'.....
  14. I cant thank you enough.. I wish I had one when I built the 3 John Deere 3179's.. I did it by ear, but I would have liked to set them to spec, and hear how they ran at the correct low idle.. I know that when I crank up the ENDT 673 in my shop, I will need it..
  15. Holy Crap!!! I had no idea they sell one.. I am going to buy one ASAP.. Thanks bud..
  16. no thats the low idle screw.. i guess you are looking for a stopper.. Is the throttle linkage adjusted correctly?
  17. yes it is.. the slotted screw adjust engine speed and the outer nut is the jam nut, for lack of better words.. you loosen the jam nut, then set the idle speed with the slotted screw then,,, when your happy,,, hold the slotted screw with the screw driver, and lock it down with the outer nut.. I used to use a photo tach and reflective tape on the balancer to set RPM... sure wish I had that tool today... Jojo
  18. yep,, it sure is JoeH... I say make them legal and use thier ''Income Taxes'' to help the U.S.A... just imagine how much more money our Gov. would have to pay out reparations... to those of us that are enslaved by the Gov.. I wouldnt mind keeping the $275.00 ish that is pulled out of my pay check... I know,,, I'm an idiot... But i'm a Happy one..
  19. There have been several different numbers spoken by the NEWS.. it also depends on whether you are watching the Lib. news or the American news.. 300,000,,, from what I have seen is likley a monthly average.. either way, just like Rowdy said,,, even 1 per year is too many.. BTW,, today in Charlotte, 2 illegal Latinos were caught with 118 pounds of Fentenal and cocaine, around 3.5 million street dollars worth.. They also had $100,000.00 in cash on them as well... Wish I had $100,000.00 in my safe... Oh Well.... God Bless Amexica.
  20. What's tricky is supporting the rear counter shafts. There is a special tool to insert through the top rear cover, and 4 'Z' brackets to use after you remove the rear cover. You can make the 'Z' brackets... do you have a sbc manual?
  21. ok.. I got my books at school in 2002, and again in 2018.. I guess I could take a look, just because.. BTW,, I like the new to you MR.. Jojo
  22. Seem's to me,, I should know better.. I'm surprised I got this one wrong.. I guess the 'rust' is getting thicker...... i dont recall re-building anything other than 92/92 and 200 series carriers.. JoeH ?? what rear end book are you using? I have a large set, and want to see what yours looks like.. Jojo
  23. Ok.. the 92/93 series came with auto power dividers as well as air operated locking power dividers..
  24. his Klan only wants guns in the hands of criminals.. If we were allowed to clean up the crime in our neighborhoods,, and I dont mean just going around killing people, I mean the ability for us to protect ourselves. if a career criminal is killed by a civilian or even a law man,, the criminal has more rights of protection, right from the start,, god forbid a white man was the victim who protected himself...
