  4. Yes the lines push on, He may have leaking o-rings within the banjo fitting.. If I understand the issue correctly..
  5. see the black plunger?? that is the lift pump with a new primer pump..
  6. should be able to remove the fuel lines (as sets) then sneak back there to fix it..
  7. maybe get some J.I.C. fittings that fit the lines, #8 I think, with male threads on the other end, and then go to Lowes/ Home Depot,, to the plumping section and look at their rolled hose options. I like your idea......

  13. what year is the engine, you posted E-7, but EUP's are in E-Techs, CCRS, and ASET.. Im glad you followed the book. engine brakes?

  16. Does it have a hand primer? If so, maybe next time it doesn't start right up, stop cranking, and pump the primer til it's firm and crank it..
  17. Did you crack a fuel line to find the dead cylinder? Did you do the valve adjustment by the book?
  18. how long have you had this truck?? did You! ever have cold air in the bunk?? I have made these repairs a bunch of times for guys that bought trucks, and didnt know that a blocking plate was put on the bunk lines just under the firewall.. ie: Frieghtliner C-120's.. the bunk lines were blocked because the evap core under the bunk bed was junk.. anyway,
  19. are you familiar with the markings on the flywheel? I expect valve lash to be int..016'' exh. .028''.... exh. valves are to the front of each cyl..

  21. yes to the valve adjustment.. You have to start on #1 (#2 exh. rocker is rocked) then roll the engine around 2 full times and setting the valves according to firing order..... ''Too Young-- Too old-- Just right! 15-36-24....does it have 680 Jake brake heads? the flywheel markings are ... 1&6-- 2&5--3&4...

  23. Was the cam removed? I assume you have an electric plug at the gov. Housing on the injection pump? Those pins can get loose.. was the valve adjustment done correctly, the Mack way and not the Cat. way?
