Well, it goes to show me that what I was told by an old timer 20+ years ago wasnt quite right.. Too funny, I cant tell you how many guys I told that the DM was offset for visibilty while backing up, because of the trucks application.. Never even gave a thought to engine position... Thanks for the info.. Jojo -
I might just steel his idea,,, I like it,, I also have about 50' of DOT tape in the shop...

Are the engine computers in both trucks the same? If so, swap them. I wonder if there is a programming issue?

Amen Hippy.. there was several times the top blew out in the baghouse.. I didnt have to clean up or repair those issues, but it sure did suck when the cement dust or fly ash floated into my shop, that was less than 50' from the silo's .. what a damn mess.. at one point the company had to pay for paint repair on a close by bussiness, because the dust was so bad.. BTW,,, It wasn't my wife that blew the top off that time -

I have been reading Vlad's posting's on his trip to Iran.. He is amazing.. What got me was that he made sure he had proper permission to bring his motorcycle into Iran.. Obviuosly Iran has very tight security at the border... But our Klan allows migrants to come here freely and tell us what they want, and at times demand it as if its their 'Right'... Vlad respects the laws as he enters another country.. anyway, Pres. Obama has led his puppet to destroy us.. and its working..

Mech, it 'IS' a Jacobs, series 690.. It is a new breed after the E-7 680 series.. I cant compare it to Macks Dynatards.. just not that smart...

My wife did that same job for a local precast pipe co. Here in town for 5 years.. she drove a Columbia though, 14 L DD, Eaton 10 spd.. 3 bay hopper.. i got a kick out of how she could adjust the valves to keep product flowing, with out a clog or just stir it up in the trailer... -

Ok Mech, the spring loaded pushrod is for the EGR bump on the back cut of the exhaust lobe. It is supposed to suppress valve slap. Now,,,, mcratchet.... A for sure way to know you are up on #1 is when you set the flywheel to 1&6, the #2 exh. Rocker is 'rocked'... Very important on Mack engines, especially after 2001!!!

Compress the spring. Are you sure you were up on #1 and not #6??

Was the EECU programmed recently? If you can, check to see if the pyrometer is turned on in the EECU.

The Volvo Macks eont start if there are some faults, especialy if it has an M Drive transmission.
