  1. I have stopped many customers from fixing/replacing the tranny due to a vibe in the stick.... I have shown them many times it was a rear end gear issue, after ruling out U-Joints and carrier bearings, .. The drive shaft is a tube... It carries sound and vibrations.. as far as the Cam code... No connection in my mind,, (open to learn) I assume Mack 92-93 rears.. In the future... with Mack rears, drain the top reduction (9/16'' square plug at the lower left rear corner) and pull the cover to inspect the first reduction.. Bevel pinion and bevel gear.. look at the teeth for brinelling.. I have seen it many times... Keep coming here for free info and simple tests.. Jojo
  2. Ok Its Bedtime for this Redneck.. c ya Bob..
  3. Money???? Bob.... are you ok?? If I had money, i'd be somewhere else...
  4. I get it Bob.. I have 2 Classic trucks an antique truck, and a custom Harley ... and a cool van.. I wont sell them.. I guess it goes back to the 80's when I had a few vehicles, that would be High dollar cars today.. I wish I had pictures.. 69 Camaro, 73 beetle, 70 Tradesman 300, 75 Datsun 280-Z, '78 Celica GT, '73 Scout II, Oh well........
  5. Back in '86... I had a shit box 69 Camaro. I lived in the country.. it was a rust bucket.. I left my house, 500' dirt driveway with a shallow ditch across it for runoff.. So I leave, hit the bump as always... I get a mile or so down the road.. the car dies.. crank it no start.. i get out and look, and my fuel tank straps are dragging the ground,, no fuel tank.... I walk back to the house... theres my tank in the driveway with a stain around it in the dirt... all i could do was grab a milk jug and put gas in it and walk back to my car and put a hose in the jug from the fuel pump under the hood, to get it home.. Looking back, If it didnt have a 250 straight 6, I would have had to walk twice... That car was a 'terd' wish I had it now.....
  6. I posted the diagrams on this thread... just look at the whole thread.. If you need more,,, post specifics... Jojo
  7. Ok DCW.... Here's a real one By ME.. ''If You grab big tree limb's that fall out of you're neighbors tree so you can cook some Rib's....... You might be a Redneck !! Now I wish I took a picture of the 5''x 15' limb that I cooked my ribs and chicken with last weekend.. Oh well..
  8. I doubt it.. once the lines are full (primed), the amount of fuel delivered by the pump delivery valve is the same amount that is sprayed. cracking the lines individually is a good way to find the cylinder(s) with the issue(s).. If a nozzle is weak or cracked, what have you, it can deliver extra fuel.. I would definately check that.. too much fuel can ''wash'' the cylinder and cause major issues.. I hope some more of the guys will comment on this besides me.. Too many smart men here to name !!!
  9. When you checked relays, did you locate the acc.relay? Is there anything plugged into the data port, like an ELD jumper? I know it was a trash truck, just curious...
  10. Maybe the well sealed line is showing you that the injector is weak.... And drippy..
  11. I can't afford charcoal.. Hell I'm grabbing branches that fall out of my neighbors tree, so I can cook Meaty Goodness...
  12. you have what is called a ''Smart Fan'' it will ramp up and down based on signals from the EECU.. Next time you are at the Dealership, have them show you the Smart fan setting.. It is on PTT. It can be shut off and on..
  13. That was Great Tom !!!! It gets my blood flowing.. I really need to get back to work on my '48... I saw 1 in the whole set of photos.. Thank you!! Jojo
  14. Terry,, You make a good point.. Fingers crossed.. I wonder if the trunnion caps are cracked (bottom broken open).. That is a sure sign of major wear... JoeH had a good question too..
  15. New torque arms, and were Twinkies installed in the lower spring boxes? Do you have pictures of the wear marks?
  16. All of our city trucks are diesel powered fords.. all automatic and have electric brakes on the equipment trailers.. I have moved some medium sized equipment, ( because I'm the only one in my crew with a Class-A) I sure wish they were manual trans trucks. Even the big dump trucks are autos, one of them does have a clutch..
  17. It's a Hell of a Novel.. I agree with manual trans, and hubs.. I keep my 97 Tacoma running.. I have had to repair the frame 3 times. But it is a great little truck.. my 1 Ton C-30 is a home made work truck.. made from 3 C- series trucks.. One of these days I will be posting pictures of my '48 Int. As it goes up the road. I'm glad camping was fun..

I was wanting to ask him the same thing... PTT is cheap to buy, the vocomm box is pricey, but I also dont know if there are other products out there.. this stuff moves faster than me now..
  20. Too much there for me to make good comments on.. I guess you need a 4 door F-350 with a C-6 or granny gear 4 spd.. at least you were able to get it up the road.. Ford trucks are tough and pull real good.. Myself I am a Bowtie guy.. I have 5 of them. one is home made and pisses me off at times, but it IS tough and gets what I need done..
  21. ok.. I remember you took the VECU apart and cleaned it.. This is a hard one to fix on here.. Have you added a ground wire from the EECU housing, under a mount bolt to a clean spot on the engine.. I have had to do that several times to create a needed ground.. I wish I was much smarter about ECU issues and backdoor repairs.. Sorry Bud.. Jojo
  22. I beleive you have an E-Tech engine... 6 EUP's not a Robert Bosch inj. pump???
  23. did you check the voltages at the Diag. port under the dash? there is a low side voltage and a high side voltage.. you should have a gray 6 pin port..
