  2. on the fire wall, by the steering column, is a gray wire with 2 or more wires. it has a triangular weatherpack plug on it... are the contacts and wires in good condition? that is the 1939 line under the hood.. it is part of the engine harness.. here is an example from the engine I currently have in my shop.
  3. Ok... Crazy thought.... Was either one of the carriers replaced recently?
  4. I agree.. that's why I suggested a starter button.. sometimes we just have to make it our own...

well,, I fell like it may be a fuel delivery issue.. I would be curious what the fuel pressure is.. On a gauge, not a computer.... Do you have the tools to check fuel pressure?

Fuel Filters??? First thing to look at with low power issues...
  10. It was an above ground well pump cover.. the city was tossing it in the scrap bin. Maybe it needs to be in the redneck thread??
  11. You say that there's nothing when you flip the button up?? Any chance a spaghetti line is kinked.. ? Do you hear any air in high range? My guess is it's an Eaton FRO 16 210C...
  12. Don't lossen the fork.. you can put half of the clutch brake in place, and hold it with a long skinny screw driver, and have a helper lightly press the clutch to hold it, while you get the second half ready, and push it in place.. I use a really long extension with the Allen socket and a turning knob. To start the screws..
  13. All Good... For many many many years I told drivers who would have clutch issue's, you need to use low or 1st, and ask, do you double clutch?? hell No!!! I'm a Real Driver... I don't need the clutch..... Of course when i ask one of them to help me pull the tranny to do a clutch or figure out why the tranny is popping out of gear and such,,,, Cricket's... its all good... There are plenty of drivers who dont use the clutch and they are smooth as silk.. to each his own..
  14. he was talking about CV's.. Yours is a Volvo.. What you did will work... Not professional, but............ at this point who cares???? put the truck to work and ... Git-R-Done..
  15. yeah.... i'm a double clutcher myself.. I can float and I do at times, but when I was a full time mechanic, I would double clutch because I didnt know the truck i was driving.. and it worked well with my troubleshooting..
  16. My Wife and her Family are ''BowTie '' people.. So I fit Right in... For a Yankee,,
  17. Ok... I smoked some Thigh's.. Beautiful smoke ring and fall apart tender.. Maybe we need a ''Smoker Thread'' Led By O.D. I'm just having fun.. I can stop right here... Ive worked almost everyday for the last 6+ weeks and weekends.. So this weekend I just took a Break..
  18. KKRT, I agree with DCW... I would love to see more guys ditch the M-Drive and put a real trans. In the truck.. I know you had an Allison.. I'm proud of you. For what it's worth.. :).
  19. I got to use my 'New to Me' Blasting cabinet today... I have to replace the glass and get a new, 2x pair of gloves, but otherwise it works great..
  20. I think you Model builders are Amazing!! Beautiful works of Art !!
  21. Yes Hayseed.. I know... She ain't goin anywhere... She Love/Hates me..
  22. Yes sir. I did use the pan from the beginning.. With these small racks, i leave them on the pan. the grease drippings seem to 'fry' the underside. I dont flip these, just let them sit. I have figured out hot to keep the temperature at around 250-275 degrees.. They did come out good, could have left them on a little bit longer but I was hungry.. As far as wood goes, I have a Maple tree that drops some wood for me, and 2 days ago, my neighbors Oak tree dropped a 5'' by 15' branch in his driveway. he let me take it.. My wife bought me a Battery chain saw from Harbor freight last month. It is perfect for cutting cooking wood. anyway, O.D. It's your fault, and I'm Grateful !! I want to do a whole chicken, or turkey breast next.
  23. What a sweet looking model of a Classic Truck... Awesome skill's... Jojo
