  1. Oh.. I get it... I meant that my Wife just told me she hates me!! which is true.. Now about being a fatty.. im 5-8 now.. 255.. So the other stuff you say applies to me too.. Of course if my wife leaves me I will loose 165 pounds quickly.. Just sayin...
  2. My Heart is Pounding after reading this... That is AWESOME!!! We all knew it was not your lack of knowledge,,, it was Eatons suggestion to do something odd.. Looking forward to a video of it going down the road, or at least around the yard...
  3. That's OK TJC,,, My Wife just told me the same thing... But She means it...
  4. Well,, it's gettin' there.. I hope all you guys are enjoying a sunny weekend.. Jojo
  5. This Post goes out to O.D.. You inspired me to make another Wood Fired Cooker.... and I DID!.. It's fired up right now, and sittin at about 225 Degrees.. With a rack of Baby Back's on it... Thank You for the Inspiration.. I needed that!!!
  6. I would rather hear the rattling, than deal with this current issue.. Besides... it will only rattle if you are holding the clutch down for any length of time, however,, I guess I never really noticed a rattling in the 'dog dish' type of clutch.. Git-r-done....! Jojo
  7. Paul, I dont remember those springs either.... I became more curious when he said he had to tap the pressure plate in place...
  8. do you have a picture of the anti-rattle springs? For some reason, I dont remember what they are.. I have been losing knowledge lately..
  9. Forgive me if I didnt see this... But... did you adjust the pedal free play to near zero, to see if it will release when you you push the pedal? just to see if it will release.. Sorry bud... I bet all of us would like to be there to see it first hand..
  10. You are obviously a smart guy and know quite a bit about this job.. It seems to me you are scratching your head... Been there.... I Know!!
  11. If you have a harbor frieght near you, they have a decent tranny jack for around $300.00 USD.. I have one, and it works good for the price.. just be sure to secure the brackets and put a ratchet strap over the tranny and sinch it to the table on the jack.. (if you get one)...
  12. Mech... in the last picture you can see the edge of the 2 pc. clutch brake..
  13. I guess I am going back to my question about the 'dogs'.. they keep the intermediate pressure plate in position. You said the flywheel was machined but not completely due to the 'dogs' is what I understood.. so they cut the fly wheel with the 'dogs' in place? or with them out? I wish WE could be there to see this mess you have.. jojo
  14. That Black B Model dump truck looks like one of Danny Smith's truck's...
  15. Paul has a good point... I too, have had to pull a clutch for a customer who put the clutch in, but did not have the flywheel 'machined'... the flywheel will have deeper wear towards the middle and the outer circumference of the flywheel will be higher, which will grab the outer edge of the clutch disc.
  16. Because I made you think it..
  17. He went away with the Ace Helpful Hardware MAN.... I bet they are on an Island living it up.... Just a thought..
  18. so It was converted??? I did a flywheel conversion on a couple E-6 Super Dogs last year and the year before. Went to a 15 1/2'' easy pedal clutch on both..
  19. YEP!!!
  20. I assume the ''Dogs'' in the flywheel were positioned correctly, with the little tool that lines them up..
  21. I have worked on many trucks with messed up clutch adjustments and sloppy linkages and so on.. The ones that weren't totally broken, were still drivable, if only into the shop.. This is one, were, I wish I was there to see the issue happen.. With the info we have, I am leaning towards improper clutch parts and/or installation..
  22. im sorry about my slow understanding.. I think you say when its in gear and you start it, with clutch pedal pushed it is still in gear? sorry bud, but that sounds like the clutch discs are installed wrong.. Maybe mechohaulic will see this and bring the light..
  23. does it act 'a-fool' in neutral? Im a little bit lost.. if the clutch fork is pulling the throw out bearing, then you should be able to start the engine with ease... sorry Bud,, i'm not adding this up very well..
  24. Can you put it in Low gear and start it, then drive it to see if it will break free? You did say the clutch discs are in correctly.. can you get under there and look at the clutch fork movement with some one pushing/pumping the clutch? (engine Off)...
