Your tearing up the yard!!!! anyway, There should be numbers cast into the body of the steering box. Can you clean them up and post picture's? I'm not trying to make it sound easy, but as you know, there are guys on here that are 'Super Smart'...

  3. Bob, did you try to find the part number with the V.I.N.? it may point you towards a parts kit, or a new production unit.. Just curious.. jojo

  12. I still don't know why Mack got rid of the the White RTV... It seem's to coincide with the Volvo takeover... I do like the Gray RTV... It really does seal quite well.. I dont think I have another old hardened tube.. but...... I have a lot of totes that I havent opened in years.. I can send you the one in the first picture, but it's hard to read the label.. Its hard as tire rubber.. I just kept them as collector items..
  13. How's it goin'??

  15. I just gave them cookies 15 minutes ago.. I hear what you are saying, but the Cam shaft part number and the pushrods are for steel rollers, and ceramics are in the engine,, they were not in a box, I pulled the cam and found them.. Have you ever seen that combo ? I have re-built about 30 E-7's and E-tech's, and never saw this combo. as many as I have have done, plus cam replacements, I would never say I have seen it all. So I come here to ask about it.. 🍻 JOJO
  16. Yes, it is/was the white colored Mack RTV.. I have another tube in my Mack curio cabinet.. I have had that tube for over 20 years..
  17. Hi guy's.. I recently received an E-Tech that was disassembled but for the cam, crank, front cover, and flywheel housing. All of the removed parts were in boxes. Given the age of the engine and the fact that (12) #417 pushrods were in the box of parts, and the Cam p/n is GC5227C, I was surprised to find ceramic lifters installed.. In all of my searching, both in my brain and on-line. I have not found any where that ceramic rollers were used with that cam and without spring loaded Exh. pushrods.. The cam is in great shape, and definately re-usable.. I plan to put steel lifters back in. My question is basically, have any of you seen this mixture of valve train parts before? I think it was built wrong.. Thanks, Jojo There are Engine Brake heads with the top oil feed update installed, in the parts box..
  18. Yep, they sure are Bob.. You should see how much they help me when I'm at ground level on a creeper.. I have had them try to sit on my chest while i'm working, and trying to lick the skin off my face.. it's funny,
  19. That looks great.. I also like the wooden 'Snap-on' creeper.... There is nothing like building one of these engines on a good stand.. I'm doing one as well, and Man! what a difference. I havent used a stand in decades. always did 'In-frames'... I'm ruined now!! Looking forward to the 'Run-in'.. Jojo

  22. Ok, TJC... Just to prove even more that I am Nut's!! I buy cheapo rawhides, and drop them into a pot of simmering chicken or beef broth for 2 minutes, then drain them.. then I put them in the Beer fridge, and treat them when they are good boy's...
  23. Amazon just left here.. They got a new box of cookies delivered... Damn Brat's !!
  24. Their bored, and kinda 'pissed' Daddy keeps a cookie jar in the shop, but I didnt give them any... They were lazy at work and didn't earn a cookie.. You can see it it in the middle picture. its the jug up on the shelf by my security monitor.. Trust me, they are spoiled Brats..
  25. Ryon,,, since you have another post, about not getting into reverse, I would pull the shifter off the tranny and check it for wear. check the bushings for the shifter shaft. hopefully the service kit is available, and re-build it..
