Yes to guide pin location.. the plug goes into the fuel gallery.. with a bore scope, you se the oil pump drive gear.. drop the oil pan and look up to get a good view of the cam. The oil pump is in the way of #3+#4..

I have posted a couple of times about ...how the hell do the migrants keep their cell phones charged??? I was just talking to my wife, and she said... Jojo, how the hell are they paying for the cell phone service.???????? KaBoom!!! I thought these people were poor and desperate???????? Once again.. please help me to understand?? Jojo

Cool.. they made springs for my Toyota truck that I still have for 22 years now.. Earl was about 65 years old back then... I hope he is still alive. I really Hope his Legacy is still alive... He took me under his wing after a year of hating me, and he instilled a work ethic in me on how to fix Mack's, and build the engines.. Every time I build a Mack engine.... He is with me... ''What would Earl have me do?''... Jojo

You say they don't work on older Mack engines at OConnors.. when I was there, (before I Connors). we had a rebuild room, and in the parking lot was a separate building, it was a pump shop.. my how things have changed.. your Mack is not OLD to me, but today, I guess it is ancient...

I'm watching Fox News in my Hotel room right now.. 8:20 pm.. they are at the southern border.. the Mexicans in the back ground look clean, well fed and pretty much normal.. and..... They are on cell phones... How the HELL did they keep the phones charged, if THEY supposedly walked for weeks or more through a bunch of different countries????? Any reasonable answer will be appreciated... Jojo

No shit!! I started at Maine Mack there on Warren Ave. In 2000.. I was there when Dick O'Connor bought them.. there was 36 of us... Whenever the change happened they kept about 12.. me included. I left there in early 2006.. Too funny.. Jojo

You need to pull it and check it and a pop test if there is nothing obvious.. if you wash a cylinder, your done..... That will have to be repaired, and a lot goes in to doing only 1 cylinder..

If the nozzle has a cracked tip, it will flow too easily. Low injection pressure.

That sounds really good.. I prefer them to be out of the chassis.. I have built many in the chassis.. Are you familiar with measuring liner protrusion, and inspecting the counter bore, machining the counter bore if needed, and then properly shimming the liner to spec, and setting all the liners to within .002"? I am asking, so I can get an idea of your knowledge.. With respect, Jojo

Are you doing an in frame? How do you plan on removing the crankshaft? I suggest you drop all 13 caps, one at a time and look for crank damage, before you go any further.. PAI. Kits are really good. I have built at least 10 Macks with their parts, and I have 2 more in my shop now.. I also suggest that you get REAL INTIMATE with the CORRECT WAY to run the valves... If you run them like Cat or John Deere does, you Will be doing the cam and lifters all over again.. one minute after you crank the engine around.. There is a bunch of us here with good info. And several posts about these AC engines... Jojo

Ive gotton to meet a lot of drivers that came from an Eaton tranny, and go to a Mack Tranny, and had a bit of a learning curve. They said it was not as smooth to shift.. That's an understatement.. -
