  1. I think the full tank of fuel is needed for the 15 trips to the hardware store to get parts. it is for me at least..
  2. thats a good question, one that I never looked into.. I have installed hundreds of them and whenever possible I just installed the calibration codes using Mack software.. I never did look to see if there were different part numbers. I would think that the injectors and the programming in the EECU is where the adjustments are made.. I say... use them and go with it. I assume you are using the 400 EECU..? Jojo
  3. yes. i was a happy kid. no school!!

The coldest I have experienced was in Rangley Maine, back in '94-'95.. For 1 week it was -45, and warmed up to -40.. I had an '87 Camaro at the time, and it froze shut and I couldnt open the doors for days.. I actually went to town on a snowmobile. I had been living in Maine since '81, so harsh winters were nothing new.. We had a heavy snow with squall's, and when it was over, the snow drift on the front of our house was so high, that when we opened the front door, the snow was piled up to 6 inches short of the top of the door frame. There was even an impression of the front door in the snow.. When I tell folks here in Central N.C., they think i'm crazy or full of crap.. It was real.. Jojo

  6. I forgot to mention slipping a hose over the plastic line and putting it in the jug too.. sorry bud.. Have you done any more to it since your last posting?
  7. Welcome to the Dog Pound, Sergey
  8. Ooop's
  9. Pansies...
  10. why is the fan not centered on the radiator? Just curious..
  11. If you get a clear jug, like a juice jug for example. you can attach a 1/4'' line to the small nipple on the fuel pressure regulator, and put the hose in the bottom of the jug, and keep it submerged, and run the engine, and look for air bubbles. have someone there to shut it off before you over fill the jug.
  12. many years ago in Maine, I had a basic 2wd Toyota pick-up. 4 banger with a 5 spd. I used to offer snow blower services in Old Orchard Beach. lots of small houses that a plow truck wouldnt do well there.. They liked my service because it was clean and there was no damage to their grass and hardscapes.. anyway, I was always chained up, and I would keep a bag of 'S-Hooks' in the truck along with a Channel lock pliers. every time I broke a link I would squeeze an 'S-Hook' in place of the broken link, and roll on.. You wont catch me doin' that crap today, just sayin'....
  13. The range clutch basket has the letter ''R'' stamped inside of it to indicate, reward..
  14. I would check fuel pressure.. should be around 80 PSI for that year
  15. Is the miss at low idle only, or throughout the engine speeds while driving?
  16. nope, still pissin' my wife off..
  17. Nothin...
  18. Does your air compressor get it's air from the manifold? If so, it is taking in boosted air..
  19. Are there dip switches on the back of the speedo?
  20. I can't talk right now, sorry.
  21. Ok.. did you put new orings in the shift fork assembly
  22. Is the snapring in the center of the synchro installed or broken. If it is left out, it will only shift once, and then you have to go back in to the rear box.
  23. Have you unhooked the air compressor intake pipe, to see if the noise is the compressor?
  24. Did voltage go up when it was running? In the past, when we had a major voltage drop, I would take a separate battery and ground it to the truck, then connect the positive to the EECU fuse socket, with the fuse installed. If the truck fired up, it would indicate a bad starter.. the starter was pulling too many volts.. as far as a miss, not sure yet, I assume valves were adjusted recently?
