  1. I build these with (re-man) heads, turbo, injectors, cam kit, water pump, air compressor, oil pump, oil cooler service, engine kit without connecting rods, a paint job, new fuel hoses, new coolant hoses, filters, fluid's,[ labor ($5,000.00)] ............ (Machine shop cost's can vary the price) (Engine harness repair or replacement can vary the price) around,---- $25,000.00 (U.S.D.) I used to do this just a few years ago at around $18,000.00 Jojo
  2. I have seen this happen with incorrect drums.. like putting hub piloted drums on a budd wheel hub.. many years ago... I dont remember the inner diameter, of 2 types of drums....
  3. Yes Paul... Good Call... Hell, that's poetic..
  4. I wonder if the ride height is too high and causing the rear axle to have a light load on it. He did say "Bobtailing". -Paul asked if the S-Cams moved freely. -Mechohaulic mentions slack adjusters and adjustment. and air line size.. I hope all 8 drive tires are the same size.. I think you should check what Paul and Mech, said, as well as the ride height adjustment.. jojo
  5. Mark,, That picture with General Milley, really upsets me.. Hopefully, all this 'fast tracking' of freaks, will just be too much for normal American's, and it will go away.. Guys like us are tired of this Sh!tshow that the Biden Klan is putting on... jojo
  6. $229.00 or $379.00 I have this one.. It does a good job. Dont know haow many years it will live.. I use it for other things like cluthches and back boxes on Eatons/Meritor's.. (Harbor Freight)
  7. I do have a rookie rod bulldog that I can put on it.. thanks for the idea, Mech.
  8. You'll be waiting a while.. 😉

  10. Any chance you could post a picture of the VIN tag, and the steering box set-up? What weight is the front springs? is the old drag link adjustable? jojo
  11. MeanGreen... You did great... I have been on this site for almost 3 years... and in my local world, i know a lot of guys that say they are mechanics, but they talk about 'Tuners' and sensors, and programming,,, blah, blah, blah,... I have been to a few other forums with question's, hoping that I would get ideas from guys that are like the guys here at BMT.. Sometimes I do.. but for the most part,,, guys are so 'Hellbent' on talking tough,, that they tell people to replace, replace, replace.. because the computer said so.. or a guy on a C.B. Radio said to do this and that... Whatever.... Your info on what fixed it is what guys need.. Thanks again... P.S. I hope I wasn't an A-Hole... Jojo

I have to start shopping.. She loves a Pete 379, but wants a Mack like what she used to drive, and because I know those trucks inside and out and can keep it rollin'' (Her Words).. Ohh My... Jojo
  15. Thank you for your kind words.. You guys made me love her a bit more.. She's a rare one.. I'm pretty lucky. Jojo

  18. theres more, but.... I dont want to bore anyone..
  19. Straight up.... No B.S. for 7 1/2 years (self employed) I got a fleet of trucks for a pre-cast concrete company in my area, because when I was at the Mack dealership, I was the one that knew how to fix thier trucks. They saw something in me.. So after I got fired from that Mack dealer, I started my Mobile Mechanic business. (Dec. 2009) When this outfit heard the news they scooped me up.. 28 big trucks (4 FLD's +2 Columbias, 1 Volvo day cab tractor, 1 Sterling Tri axle dump truck, and 1, 8100 4x6 Int.) the rest were Macks.. '96 RD's and Ch's. up to 2000 Ch's. 35 trailers, (6) 3 hooper dry tankers to haul cement, rice, and fly ash.. one step deck, and the rest were 45' flatbeds. 5 flat beds had pipe masters on them, the others carried Moffet Mounty's. The RD straight trucks were flat beds with Moffet's.. I also took car of the Moffet's.. Buddy.... I did everything, I sometimes could hire some help, but I did Everything..... I met my wife there. She was a Tanker driver... She ended up in the shop with me, after we married, and she would work her butt off.. we did clutches, engine repairs and builds, she did enough bundle oil cooler repairs that I let her do the whoeljob, accept for when I had to remove the fan and water pump.. anyway,, I reckon I should stop here... you did ask..
  20. that crank looks really clean.. You are inspiring me.. Jojo
  21. I really like the thoughts that it was an old fire truck.. It makes me proud.. I made measurements, and drew the plans on note paper, then took my paper to my metals supplier and asked them to cut each piece to my lengths. then I took an extended lunch break and put it together.. Thanks for making me chuckle... Jojo
  22. I made the front bumper, because in my area, there is a certain culture of people that runs red lights on purpose, and sometimes veer into my path. If I see someone who is about to run the red light, I let the clutch out and jump forward a bit, and they usually slam on brakes.. it makes me laugh.. I used to have a 'Rebel Flag' tag on the front, but too many guys would yell at me or give me the finger, when they cross the street while I'm at a red light.. p.s. never was a fire truck.. and the rust stain is from a winch.. I used to use it to pull axles out from under Mack's when I ran a 28 truck fleet.. jojo
