  1. I'm out of likes Mark..
  2. that is $108,000.00 - $134,000.00 U.S.D. WOW !!!!!!! for a used truck,,,???
  3. Please,,,, No apology needed.. I truly ask questions to learn and get opinions.. I am small potato's for sure.. I get the shop/dealer pricing.. Part of my question is because, here in my area, I have been told i'm too expensive. But on BMT Many of you say the opposite. Like I said before,, I say to the potential customer.... ''I drive my service truck to you and use my special engine tools" how can you say i'm expensive, and if you took it to the Mack dealer that I worked at, I would have been the one to build the engine anyway.. All good Bob White... I hope you find a plumber that is reasonable and good at his craft.. Jojo
  4. I just flat rate the builds. E-7/E-Tech. Pulled out is $4,000.00 / In-frame is $4,500.00.... ASET-C $5,000.00.. Plus I come to you, so you can stand over my shoulder when I work I take 50+ hrs. I do a lot of measuring, and checking, and lots of note taking during tear down, and re-build...
  5. Feel The Love !!! Bob..... 🥰
  6. Yep, Nutty... I stepped on some squirrel 💩 and cut my big toe on a piece of an acorn... Damned squirrel's...
  7. Bob White, Do you think my labor cost of $4k-$5k is too high? Just curious. and also curious how many guys go to the customer with their own tools and builds them? No biggie,, just curious... Jojo

  9. Make/ Model/ Year/ Engine?..
  10. (8) codes are the EUP's.... 8-5 is the #5 EUP.. check the EUP harness for damage, chaffing, bare wires, etc.
  11. $1500.00 ea. + tax and shipping..
  12. I have that book too.. Damn good one to have.. Jojo
  13. ive used Agkits.com to get PAI engine parts. They have Heads, and inframe kits, cam and bushing kits, oil pumps and so on. The Inframe kits are better than Macks, and have more gaskets and seals including the head gaskets. I have built (6 or-so) E-7/ E-Techs in the last 2+ years and they are doing good. The parts are working. When I build one, it usually costs between $15,000.00 - $18,000.00, labor included, and that is also with me going to their shop and building it on-site.. Good luck and keep in touch.. Jojo
  14. heads are aproaching 2 grand now. PAI has kits (without heads) around 4 grand.. cam sets I think are around $1500.00.. I think you can build one for around $10,000.00 If you do the labor yourself. May I suggest starting your own NEW thread on this issue.. That usually gets better exposure.. jojo
  15. Have you tried adding Stanadyn to the fuel filters and tanks to see if it can loosen up the Inj. pump guts? Yeah its hard to feel how hard you are pulling in an excavator, but I would figure the guy on the ground would be watching... I guess watching the axle come out..
  16. You say when you crack the fuel lines when its hot, that the fuel pressure seems weak. Is that correct? I wonder if something in the fuel shut off is failing? I wish I knew what the inside of that pump looked like. I never messed with them on the inside.. I wonder if you tapped on the Gov. Housing, lightly with a small dead blow hammer while some cranked it over, if it would knock somethin loose, and fire up? Jojo
  17. I respect what you say FJH.. and yes.in the long run Eaton is better.. I guess I should look at this through, eyes other than mine.. I see a tranny that I can re-build with my current tools, and do it in my shop.. You give a good perspective.. Jojo
  18. I forgot to ask... When you say it doesn't start, do you mean it turns over but doesn't fire? Jojo
  19. I'm a little curious?? Why are you not trying to repair the T-310? Is there a lot more wear in the main box? I can see the oil is junk, so its been running dirty oil.. Its not a hard tranny too re-bearing. and setting bearing pre-load is easy.. I see the aux. drive hub is showing wear on the teeth, so a new synchro is in order.. I do know that it is expensive. Our local tranny re-builder uses PAI parts.. anyway, Eatons are great... I'm just Mack Proud.. jojo
  20. is it V-MacII? if so, check the condition of the Duetch plug at the injection pump gov. housing.. look for loose terminals and damaged wires.. jojo
  21. Thank you Hippy.. I struggle everyday with the A-Holes that run our country, and the A-Holes that cry about living here, and the A-Holes that cry RACISM every day... None of these A-Holes would have what they have, if it wasn't for the Men and women like the one's that raised me, weren't wartime Soldiers and Nurses.. I am the first in my family who is NOT a combat veteran.. I will NEVER FORGET!!.. Thank you for your posting... Jojo
  22. FJH, you are correct sir.. troubleshoot first... I was acting like I was doing the repair and I would just re-ring the cylinder anyway.. Ive done so many of them that its no biggie.. But you are right.... troubleshoot first..
  23. luckily he has a T-2090... The oring kit is the same as the other Mack tranny's of that era.. Yes he should order them first. Good call MACKS....
  24. Check the one at the rear. You will need to pull the small top cover off to remove the fork bolt. Then you can slide the rear cylinder off as a unit
  25. I'm with Terry. A bad oring in a shift cyl. Will bleed through and come out the shifter.
