  1. No. Fuel is delivered mechanically. Then the EECM, determines how and when to fire the EUP's .
  2. I wonder if the coolant is sooty too?? Seems to me there are a lot of shops doing these repairs, by way of watching a YouTube video, rather than having real world experience. I would like to think there was an old timer teaching the new guys how to clean parts, and work neatly, and check tolerances, and such. But I think it's more like,. Just get it together so we can bill the job...... I read too many stories here about MP repairs that didn't fix it.. Just my crappy opinion.. jojo

  4. When I was with the construction co. In Scarborough Maine,. The last tractor that was assigned to me was a '97 RD.. E-7 400,,, 18 spd. Mack tranny,,, Mack Rears, 4.17 I think.. it would out pull the new E-Tech 427's... At the time.. Jojo

  14. I forgot to add that I was also driving late 70's DM's with rookie rods.. of course I drove Mack 'R' model, tractor trailers too.. jojo
  15. When I was driver in the late 90's -2001... I was in construction. I was on MANY job sites with, grade stakes and catch basins and piles of stuff and material, and oh yeah,,,,, a bunch of guys on the ground.. not to metion the ocasional counterwieght swing around in front of my truck.. jojo

  17. I dont what SMC is, but when I can I use Brass Compression fittings.. I do use Brass push lock types as well, and I like them, however, I think Compression fittins are the best for a long lasting assembly.. Jojo P.S.: NO Plastic quick connects.. J.M.O.
  18. It sounds like the valves were run 180 degrees out...are you sure you were up on #1 when you started the valve adjustment ?? There is an easy way to tell that you are up on #1.. I would confirm valve adjustment before spending more money.. Jojo

    are the starter wires hooked up correctly?? Was a starter ground left off and is hanging there?
