Any time Bud.. I would look at the plug above the throttle first.. It is easy to fix with whats in your tool box and on your shelf.. Yes, the fan switch and its plug can melt from high amp draw, I just dont want you to replace a good switch, if the harness plug is melted.. you can follow the wires from the top of the side cover on the HVAC unit. above the throttle, it comes right over the top .. Keep in touch... Jojo

there is a replaceble switch.. You have to pull the control panel out , then you will see that the speed switch is replaceable.. I have also found a burnt power wire at the plug for the HVAC system.. It is right above the throttle pedal, I think its 5 wires and they are heavy gauge, like a 12g. orange/red/black/green and yellow if I remember right. anyway,, I check there first because I have bought a switch before only to find this issue.. The last one I fixed 2 months ago, i was able to re-use the plug, but had to overlay the power wire. I used a bullet plug so it can be removed without cutting it.. the wire harness' were too expensive and my customer let me do my own thing.. He needed the truck Monday morning.. (weekend job) .. good luck Mackey..

Electric pump.. ok.. unplug the Duetch plug and check the terminals..sometimes they loosen up and slide back into the socket and break connection.. also, make sure it is secured to the yoke that should be bolted to the gov. Housing area.. if it is loose, it will disconnect over time.

I am by no means as proficient on this engine as I am on the next generation.. But,, my question is... was there a different injection timing setting that needed to be in place.. My rusty mind remembers 5 degrees B.T.D.C. on a mechanical Robert Bosch pump, if you have the Shwitzer S400 So41 turbo (stock setting). The turbo may not be part of the equation... Mechohaulic??? He needs you!!!!

Thank you Vlad.. Back when it was cost effective to rebuild Mack tranny's and rear ends, I built many of them.. I was hoping to get a T-2130/2180 to rebuild last week, but it didnt pan out.. Mech.. I recently worked with a Man from India.. Of course I'm asking questions about his country.. We talked about crime.. He said that he is amazed to see how our prisoners are so well taken care of, with food to get fat on, and medical care for free, and the ability to get an education. He said, no wonder why some people want to be in jail. He said, in his country, if you commit a crime like rape or murder for example, and it is recorded on video. They dont waste time in court rooms. They punish you based off of the video evidence.. Just imagine how many empty seats there would be in the Biden White House..

did you pull the center dash panel to see if the plug is already there? hopefully the labels didnt fall off.. if you find the plug. look at the white wire and write down the numbers on it ie: VJ2-22- 1.0.... this will tell you which plug and circuit. you can use this info to help locate the wires and the fuse socket, I have the wiring diagram for your CH.. I can try to help.. If I remember right, you will need to tell the EECU that the fan over ride is turned on (installed)... -or- you can connect your own switch to the air switch on the left side of the radiator frame.. the fan uses air pressure to lock in, when power is removed. You may be able to just put an on/off switch on the 'hot' side of the air switch.. Lets see some of the other opinions on this, Jojo

a leaking suck line from the tank?? I assume it is a full mechanical Robert Bosch injection pump.. Do you have a hand primer? If so,,, can you pump the primer to keep it running??
