  1. im no guru on 'B's, but the one and only tranny I put together, was a TRD72 No where near as big as a 1070.. Just my 2 cents..
  2. Tom, my short few years on the road taught me that too.. I would go to my truck and ask myself, What the 'F' did I get myself into??? Then I went local and pulled trailers for construction company and got cursed at every week. I am not a dumba$$, just soft, and they knew it.. anyway.. all good now.
  3. https://photos.app.goo.gl/gpWxfZcKcdhLiXp66 My new phone doesnt let me post pictures, so here's a link. it is several pin-out charts.. for ASET-CEGR
  4. 1 Bad EUP. Wont affect the others, the wire harness is known to crack right behind the EUP's and rub the block.
  5. When i get home i will post the pin out diagram for the EECU. just in case you try to chase a wire..
  6. Ok. Yes to having timing teeth on the flywheel, be nice to get one that has the marks for valve adjustment
  7. No balance issues. Is this engine fully mechanical?
  8. Oh MY God Dean... I dont know how I can say I am sorry... I am at a loss.. God bless you, I'm glad to see your grandson... I am So sorry!! Joe Ronzo..
  9. Whats up tinman? still no luck finding the chrome knob? i dont see why a generic one wont work, if it doesnt have a low range lock out i would guess it would become an 18 spd. 2130/2180 is the same as far I can remember.. just the shift knob is different.. am i too simplistic?
  10. Yeah Man!!!! Happy Birthday...
  11. is this an ASET-I or CEGR? ,, truck model name will tell me if you dont know
  12. check the condition of the RPM/TDC sensor in the flywheel housing, and be sure to inspect the wires upstream as far as you can reach, those wires take a beating. also check the Eng.Pos sensor in the front cover. there may be a teardrop shim installed, remove it and put it in your pocket and try again. To a few here I sound like a broken record, but have done this many times. check the ohms on the sensors, I think its 900-1500 at 70 degrees..
  13. I typically go to the grounds in the cab and under the hood for these issues. There is a procedure for a 9-2 code that I posted in another thread this weekend. The thread is about a not start issue.. it is a PDF.
  14. all good here.. Thank you Paul..
  15. thanks Brocky,, we dodged it, power was out for a half a day. I have a Genny hook-up on my house, so wew were fine.. No destruction in my area.. just lines and trees down. God Bless you Brocky,
  16. Hey Tom!! are you guy's OK?? there is a weather warning right now about a tornado...
  17. I got it!! perfect..
  18. I thought about this a bit. I have driven hybrid cars for my city job. It seems like a good combo. one of them is a small Ford 'something'.. It actually had a lot of pep in it's step, and kept up with I-85 traffic. As far as big trucks, I guess it can work well, it's the full electric trucks that I don't want. I always thought the advertised range of E.V.'s was exaggerated. showing a p/up towing a big boat or camper in the foothills, or one racing across the deseert slinging sand, B.S.!!! anyway... to me it adds to the safety of the driver, ever since the DPF issues came about, all I can think of is a driver trying to do his job, but cant because the truck layed down. now he is stuck on the side of the road, ( not safe). middle of winter and no heat, ( not safe), out of battery power and no charger anywhere, I guess i'll stop here.
  19. I'm not sure I like this.. I watched the video, yes, it's impressive, but to me it is also depressing... They are feeding the electric vehicle mandates that non of us need.. sorry guys... not a fan right now..
  20. Ok, so if you remove the teardrop shim behind the RPM/TDC it may just fire up... I have done this many times.. I'm not saying that it will fix it, but with the weak early front covers, there has been issues with the clearance. I dont have the measurements, because ... well,, I dont. LOL.. the cam has a stout thrust washer and a waliking cam is not in the cards.. if it walks just a little bit there will be some clashing..
  21. I accidentally deleted my response. I thought i put it in the wrong thread..sorry as far as the flickering, I say loose grounds. I will post a procedure. 9-2 code.pdf
  22. One way to check V-Mac 1+2 is... If you shut the engine off and it shuts off immediatley, its V-Mac 1... A 5 second delay, V-Mac 2... There are other ways
  23. I dont remeber, however, why do you need one? it is a mechanical engine with 3 sensors.. oil/temp/timing... (assuming you have the electric governor on the injection pump) what issue are you trying to fix?
  24. have you un hooked those lines and flipped the splitter to see if air is delivered.?
