  1. He can cut open an oil filter to see if there is "Silver in them thar Hill's.!!! "..
  2. the lifters can loose their faces, and , well.....
  3. drop the pan and look up,, try to get your fingers on the lobes to feel them if you can,, Hell, you probably knew that,, I'm sorry..
  4. You are too Kind, Onyx.. Truth is... I ran away from MP engines years ago.. I did'nt look back to see if they were gaining, I just RAN !!.. I truly have forgotten a lot about diagnostics on the E.A.T.S. and E.G.R. issues.. I do remember the glove test, ๐Ÿ‘.. You are smarter than you realize on these MP's.. Jojo
  5. The acc. relay, if connections are loose can cause a shutdown if it V-Mac II. V-Mac I has a pull stop.. It is a good suggestion to check the acc. relay. It is under the ash tray inside the dash. You can here a loud click when you cycle the key, and if you dont know where it is, the sound will bring you to it
  6. Loose grounds, and if it is V-mac II, I would check the plug connection and condition at the injection pump. the deutch connector needs to be secured into the yoke that should be there. jojo
  7. I just went to the link, and woudlnt you know, the same security warning that we had here last week, popped up... Crazy... I will try again later.. Thank's, Brocky... jojo
  8. I tried to look up JOT, but all I got were ads for coffee and note taking. What is the Name of the site, I thought I would take a look.
  9. This place is the only forum I have been involved in.. I really like all the different categories. I got to know quite a few really smart guys on here, and if we have a topic that's not truck related, we have a couple places to do that. That way, those that aren't interested in the topic, can find one that suits them.. Just my thoughts.. I do notice more and more topics about the MP's, and lots of issues with trucks that are less than 5 years old.... to be expected.... I Guess... Jojo
  10. 95 is a good year, a well maintained E-7 can go a million miles. I would have one of those over any 2003-2006.... More comments will be here soon.. Good luck on your search..
  11. Yep, there is a port on the compressor head, top right outer side, on a Bendix. Some of them have a 90 degree drain spout, takes a 9/16" deep socket to open it.. I think about 3-4 gallons is all that will drain. Easy to do..
  12. How about???? "Old Ass Genius" ?? Just a thought...
  13. Oh hell, Your ready now.. Good luck Bud.. Keep posting.. Hell..... My ass could use a New Peeter built... jojo
  14. That's cool... what are the gauge pics about? just curious.. Is the engine back running again? that would be cool to see.. I have never done a Cummin's...
  15. My Brutha' from Anutha Mutha.... jojo
  16. I am sorry.. I feel your pain. I worked in Mack dealerships for only 10 years, but I saw the pain.. I am praying for you.. May I suggest that you get as 'involved' as you can in truck diagnostic's next time you send one off.. Hopefully they will keep you well informed.. If you dont know what questions to ask, come here, and post your concern, and one of us will help you create a good question or question's.. Jojo
  17. Hell Yeah !!!!! Welcome to the Dog Pound, as I like to say.. You won't beleive how much knowledge is here... Jojo
  18. sorry about the small picture, not sure how that happened..
  19. ๐Ÿ‘Thank's.. heres the last one I did.. It took a lot of scrubbing before paint.. Much better when they are out of the truck..
  20. I really like the posts about doing a quality paint job on an engine.. Some really professional jobs.. Kinda makes my Rattlecan jobs in chassis look like childs play.. Mine look nice and neat when they are done, but, no where as professional as they could be.. I take pride in my engine builds, and really try to show it.. I'm really impressed by skilled painters.. I also like to see the pictures of the hi quality jobs.. it is inspiring.. Jojo
  21. oh.... ok... the paint is actually Mack Gray Engine paint... yes, that is an E-Tech... It has similar horizontal injector line ports as the E-7.. The injectors are mounted the same way as an E-7. The E-Tech has 1 fuel pump per cylinder, instead of an in-line injection pump. I will stop here, so that I don't steal this thread.. P.M. me if you want to know more, or tell me to shut-up... Jojo
  22. Mech,,? are you talking to me about the engine pics I posted, or someone else.. ? jojo
