  1. I assume you got it to break loose?
  2. there are NO pins just loosen the castle nut and strike the end of the steering arm and it will fall out, leave the nut on a turn or 2 so it dont hit the ground..it may take a few strikes, but she'll come...
  3. loosen the fuel lines at the injection pump and turn it over till it spits..
  4. the 225 Mopar was great, the Ford 300 ,, well yes, the best of the group.. I have to bow down to that engine,, I'm always a Bowtie guy forever.. my 78 didnt have power steering, just power brakes.. It would float the valves at 98 MPH..
  5. I certainly understand your decision..
  6. I would love to have a square body C-10 with a 250 straight six and 3 on the tree.. that was my first of about 8 square bodies.. I still drive my home made C-30 redneck truck..
  7. non that I have heard of.. probaly wont happen.. Oh well..
  8. well thats what having more under wear in the dresser drawer is for.. Man, every so often I remind myself of a Boo Boo or dumba$$ move I've made that could have been BAD.. However, the lessons I learned made me much smarter..
  9. Auto matic power divider in Mack rears SUCK!!!!, the wholething about how it divides the traction power to each wheel 25% per wheel is hogwash.. the wheel with the leaste traction spins... the only way to make that system work good is if you had 4 seperate trolley brakes to engage any drive wheel you choose, individually.. to stop it from spinning, and then the wheels on the ground wil grab.. of course you will need to let the brake off once you are on all fours.. Just more of my crazy sh!t..
  10. Yes, electric over air is what ive seen. There is a light and audible warning, and i think the newer macks wont run over 25 mph too... So really the driver IS doing less driving.
  11. They do not come standard with pdlo.. you have to order it. Yes its air operated
  12. There is a small amount of oil that stays in the hub. However oil does need to circulate via the axle shaft..
  13. posibbly.. like i said, none of us are there.. wish I could wave the magic wand for you..
  14. front drive zerks face down, rears face up, on Mack rears..
  15. i can tell... the words suck... pictures will help, forgive me..
  16. I forgot to add, that the left and right part I just posted was for the s-cams, and the part I left out is for how the slack adjusters ratchet, (self adjusters) they will not work correctly on the opposite sides. sorry, I was typing so fast I passed my brain in turn 2 heading for the straight away..
  17. that is why i was asking other questions....... there is... if you put them on the wrong side it will knoock the rollers out of the shoes if it goes too far.. so yes, to left and right. if you notice the positiion of the brake chambers is different. front drive (front of the axel), rear drive (rear of the axel)...
  18. too high !! do you have a truck parts store in your area.. the slacks are 28 spline and likely 5 1/2'' inches on center. measure from the center of the s-cam to the center of the clevis pin where the yoke is hooked to the slackadjuster. that is the length the parts store will ask for.
  19. Hippy, there is a 7th job that Kommiela has experience in... She used to blow up ballons, I mean.....
  20. Keystone Cop's I presume?? Love it..
  21. ok, I was reaching out, to see if the wrong slacks were installed .. sorry bud, i'm really interested in this, but I am not there.. I know the others feel the same way.
  22. https://photos.app.goo.gl/APC18ZVxfMgy7pMc7 Here are 2 of the essential must have tools, for Mack rears. Of course, I have never built them without these tools... Let me know if the link works.. Jojo
  23. does this truck have camelback suspension? where the s-cams replaced recently?
  24. I can try to post them later.
