  1. fuel pressure can cause a cutout, but I would expect a weakening or a slow death,, I think he said it picks back up.... so,, you may very well be right.. definately check fuel pressure during the test runs... jojo
  2. Holy crap .... What a great Idea... Onyx.. you should help Mark out.. I really wanted to do it, but I got busy, then a new job.. He has everything you need.. ya'll should PM about it.. 🍻
  3. Mark, I have tried to work for companies a few times while keeping my repair service going.. I had a hard time... Part of it was Me' because I knew how to do the work, but had to conform... I butted heads with quite a few guy's, and even trained my boss's a few times.. But..... I just started working for My City, and I really like it.. It is all together different work, and our 12 man crew is like a family of brothers.. I guess I got lucky this time.. jojo
  4. I love it !!!
  5. If someone tied into the back up lights to install the beeper, check there, and the ground.... jojo
  6. Grounds.... ACC. Relay... fuseable link at the batt. box.... Electric instant shut down or slow death...? does it start right back up?? Codes???? 9-2 for example...... jojo
  7. Lose to Fetterman???? really? is it possible?
  8. Hey MarkT? How's the senate race going there in the "keystone State"? Why did I here today from a co-worker, that the race is close? Really?? Good luck Bud.. jojo
  9. I just remember good ole' 80W90.....
  10. that s cool.. there is sooo much for me to learn about, out there.. I have been Mack only for 24 years with a sprinkling of a few other trucks,, and a bunch of Freightliner and Int. along the way... Jojo
  11. as far as EUP issues, are you getting any 8-? codes?? the big ground bolt in front of the starter is crucial.. it needs to be clean and tight.. Please do not use ether to start the engine.. Have you done any fuel system repairs? Have you tried to re-prime the fuel lines by loosening them at the head and pumping the hand pump to relieve the air? I'm just spewing now... I want to help you as do many others here. we need more info, try to keep it on point and accurate.. There are soooo many smart guys here, it would blow your mind.. jojo
  12. Hey MackB, that hand full of groceries, here in Salisbury N.C. is a 'Crackheads ' meal..
  13. what is the condition of the "Power Dist. Box" next to the steering column? I think fuse 40 is the EECM.. 3rd row from the left half way down, 25 or 30 amp's.. a lot of times the legend inside the cover, get's water damage and is hard to read.. jojo
  14. ok,, I have been posting on a few topics, so I get a little lost... Did you check the sensor wires at the flywheel sensor.. RPM/TDC.?? Do you know where all the grounds are? and did you check them? The big one on the left side of the block in front of the starter will be a problem if it comes loose.. It is probably the most important ground.. If you have access to the 9-2 code flow chart, it will guide you through, checking the grounds... I/We have posted this many times here.. its in the search bar.... (9-2 code)... i use this trouble shooter to solve more than just "Power re-set Without the Key" jojo
  15. So the Biden clan has attacked the U.S. again... Only thing is, it will take 5+ years to see his accomplishment.. We were forced to weaken our immune systems by wearing masks and gloves and shields and using hand sanitizer every minute of the day..... Well..... we now have a country full of folks with weakened immune systems, who will get sick from what would have been just a cold or an allergy healed by O.T.C. med's... The next thing will be law suits against drug makers/ Trump/ and those that resisted the Law of our King.. BTW, My 'Tin Foil Hat' fits just fine... I said to my wife 18 months ago, that The King is build a weak society, using Covid as the weapon... and what is sad to me, really sad!!! is that our children are getting sick, because of power hungry A-Hole's.... Ok, once again, i got mad and de-railed.. God Bless AMERICA !! jojo
  16. Yeah, I don't recall those caps.. maybe I just forgot.. but the older E-Techs had smaller welch plugs, 13/16" if I remember right...
  17. Yeah we used to 'rod' them out with a piece of mig wire... There was always 2 guys that would argue over doing that.. "Yes you can!!! "No you don't"! Patience and a gentle touch gets it done.. it could take an hour to do one... 🥱
  18. I was just looking at the pics of the rear end, again... It sure is awefully dry.. there should be oil present and a puddle.. did they put any oil back in before the misshap? Or did they pressure wash the evidence away before taking a picture.. ?
  19. So what is the oil press, 'hot' at idle and at 1400 rpm... ? Jojo
  20. Well, since it is an ASET,. There won't be any plugs,,. Big hex caps instead..
  21. just curious Brocky... When did schneider use those engines? I would be interested in finding pictures of the trucks.. jojo
  22. Hey Onyx... "Wrong" should not be in your vocabulary.... just sayin'...
  23. It is splash lubed.. proper oil fill technique is,, Power divider first, about a pint, then the side cover plug for the top reduction, then the rear plug that is missing, to fill the bowl.. then as Onyx said,, regular oil level checks are done at the rear plug in the banjo housing. the oil is delivered throughout the carrier by splash and a series of trough's that direct oil to the bearings, the spur shaft housing on top has ports that maintain the oil level in the top reduction. and the power divider in this case has ports that do the same. The bull gear dips oil from the bowl and brings it to the top reduction, notice the spiral on the thru-shaft... it carries oil the the power divider through the thru-shaft tube... then the oil in the power divider spills over into the top reduction as it is filled/circulated... I wrote all this, just in case they try to tell you a story of how it gets lubed.. Good luck with your claim.. jojo
  24. Some really Cool Charlotte history... Next time I see one I will know where it was born and some of how it came about.. Thanks O.D.
  25. I always felt that way when I used to transport Post Office Macks from Portland M.E. to Portsmouth New Hampster... Even topped out at 55mph. I thought I would be on my nose if I had to slam on the binders... jojo
