  1. I think he said it ran for 20,000 + miles before this issue came about.. Now I have to go back to the begining to see...
  2. it can happen.. when the piston comes up on the compression stroke, it becomes an air pump.. in this case 15:1 compression, it can certainly blow a chunk of metal into the intake or the exhaust manifold.. jojo
  3. yeah checking spring pressure in this case is a stretch.. The machine shop probably didnt check them either... the engine is already taken down to a point where the issue may have been passed by, however, he has a large skillset and I expect he will find the issue... I dont see where he test drove the truck to duplicate the issue, so I guess he is going on the driver's story... jojo
  4. I get it... no biggie... I try to go back to the beginning if i feel i am off topic.. i have done it tonight on 2 threads.. it goes to show how we will go to any length to help these guys..
  5. I was just about to remind this thread of previous posts... I guess you read my mind Onyx....
  6. OK, your out.. I just like to brag on you.. Screw these Volvo P.O.S's..... It is killing small truckers and hurting those that have money to TRY to stay afloat.. I will be more cautious going forward.. jojo
  7. Brocky....... You are speaking the truth.... My wife would rip me a new A-Hole.. I met both of them in Colfax.. Ms. Zina was so friendly, and, ALL About Tom.. and the Pup's as well.. He IS a LUCKY Man.. jojo
  8. Yep....
  9. Yeah,, Yeah,,,, What he said.......
  10. My brain is 'on break' I cant wait to see the answer..
  11. yep.. you will here it click with engine off, or run the engine and it will activate the engine brake..
  12. I guess I missed that part... I thought he was waiting for the machine shop answers... Ooop's...
  13. Aahhhhh ??? Aahhh???? dunno.. let my fix another beverage.. I'll get back to you..
  14. Onyx..... It's ... 'Non-Binary' Come on man!!
  15. Snap-On $500.00 ish.. sorry.. jojo
  16. Sweet !!!
  17. 🍻
  18. yes the rag was left in the engine, I did a ton of work to the engine to try to fix it, and all efforts failed.. When I was at whits end,, I went to pull the heads,, funny thing is... the intake was the last part I had to remove before pulling the heads.. Had I pulled the intake first.. well.... you know.. Next time i will put my 3 foot bore scope in the manifold.. you may want to do the same if this goes further...jojo
  19. I know about chasing this issue on an AC.. Remember these Onyx?
  20. Check the cam sensor and the flywheel sensor. while its running, unplug one of them. if it shuts off, the other one has an issue. the flywheel sensor wires are prone to damage because it gets all the spray off the steer tire.. pull the loom back and gently tug on the wire from the plug up towards the engine as far as you can, its about a foot..
  21. I'm a short person, it helps me check the oil. And Hell Yeah it'll hold my beer and the cooler next to me.
  22. I'm out of likes,. So. FJH, here it is... 👍
  23. I just went back to page 1 and read it 4 times.. with all that has been posted, I came up with 1 question.. did you check the rocker arms to see if they 'rock' smoothly? I know that E-7 push rods can be installed wrong, off to the side of the lifter. I was wondering if a rocker arm hung up in the valve open position, and the push rod jumped off the top of the lifter.. Im really 'Reaching' on this one.. Jojo
  24. You could whip up one of these bumpers.. 😉
