  1. so its an ASET-C... lots of places to loose coolant.. head gasket is surely possible
  2. what color is the exhaust?
  3. Is it draining from the drain tray onto the ground? Or onto the floor? How about a pressure test of a full system and look for engine leaks. Park on a clean spot or through a sheet of cardboard under it if you need too.. Hell, there should be obvious signs of a leak, at that rate.disregard the heater core idea for now..
  4. Heater core .
  5. That's the oil filter pad/mount... It ain't no easy change...you have to drain the coolant and remove the egr cooler with it. I think you are going too far. Have you put a gauge on the oil filter pad to compare it to what the trucks ECM is reading?
  6. Hell it's crap shoot... Ah Shoot,,, I got crap again you know what though...? I'm the common denominator in all of these.. Hmmm..? Jojo
  7. God bless you!! I'm glad I was too young to have a girl friend when I lived there... Hell, the Southern women I was with were, Nuckin' Fut's... I love my wife very much, especially wife #1, her other 2 personalities, can be a challenge, but I'm still alive... jojo
  8. I tried to search out service manuals,, I found a few.... $500.00-$800.00.. WOW!.. I have a couple, But I am unable to walk out to my shop to see if there is a parts list book, sorry... jojo

  13. OK, I opened my books, and 6-2 is NOT on the V-MAC II list.. Do you have this book? If not, P.M. me a cell phone number, and I will send the pages to you for 6-2
  14. I really appreciate all the well wishes.. But what all of you need to know is that my wife has been amazing! She has been dressing my wound and waiting on me hand and foot.. Getting supplies as i need them and so on.... The thing is, she is doing all this with her right arm in a bigass sling.. she had shoulder surgery, 5 weeks ago, and she needed an implant to fix her.. She is on her way to therapy right now.. I am truly blessed in many ways.. Jojo
  15. Here's another 'Not a Surprise' Biden Klan thing... Monroe N.C. is having a family festival this weekend, or maybe next weekend,, One of the "Family" events is "Drag Queen Story Time" They showed footage from last year... Who are these MANY parents, that brought their young'ns to this event??? What the Hell?? parents and children sitting in a circle while a drag queen was reading stories about gender identity... Really???? I wish our Govt. would send all the fruit cakes to a country that wants them (free of charge) jojo
  16. I do at times, but I have 100 gallons of waste oil, 1/2 gal. with a mouthful of gas mixed in has been fine, slow burn and easy to light,, I just need to use different jugs and not be in a hurry, I went out during the football games and wanted to get back inside quick.. Its all on me, for sure... I feel like a fool.. jojo
  17. I have the Mack shop manuals for vmac 1-3.. you sure it's not vmac2? I will do some studying later this . morning.. jojo
  18. Yes Mark. Go back today for a check up. Thanks, jojo
  19. im no guru on E-6's, but when I was a New driver 22+ years ago, I came off the road and went to construction.. Most of what I drove was R's and DM's (tri-axle's) all E-6 and X107 twin sticks (Awesome tranny) and a (9 spd, R model tractor) and my favorite R model tractor had a 12 spd.. 1070B.. Those trucks were slow, but hauled the same loads as the E-7's and the NEW E-Tech's.. and they took the same beating in and out of the pits, and going down the country roads. To me they are tried and true. The driver just needs to understand the machine for what it is, and use it as it should be used.. I know a lot of guys want to be the fastest with the most 'Pony's'.... I cant say anymore, because of my limited experience. I just know that the E-6 will get the job done... In my opinion... Jojo
  20. All good Mech.. I mix a splash of gas into a half gallon of waste oil from my tank... The problem was that I grabbed the wrong jug and just tossed it on the brush, then lit it,, I grabbed the waste gas jug for mixing, instead of the mixed jug,, both are the same type of jug.. That has been fixed.. Just a simple and stupid mistake, hell I wasnt even drinkin beer, just cleaning up the yard waste.. Dumb Me.... jojo
  21. I have only seen a few Scania trucks 20+ years ago in Maine.. I thought they were Midliners on steroids.. Seems to me that Volvo and Renault, had their hands in Mack trucks for a long time. Is that true? I know nothing about Scania's... jojo
  22. I dont remember about specs. A junk yard may be the ticket.. I hope a few others chime in to answer that one.... I really doubt that is the issue, unless you see obvious damage.. Using todays approach by replacing ECM's is not the way to start on a truck like your's... You have to be a mechanic, not a Tech. You are in good hands here. just keep in touch... jojo
  23. well you may have just improved a weak connection... Hope it stays good.. if you own an I.R. thermometer, use it... you can check temps and compare them to similar components.. Good luck... jojo
