  1. I would probably use a CAT Hyd./Oil filter.. I think they are thicker,
  2. Now that you say it 'F'... It does look like the bottom of a filter..
  3. I'm glad you are watching, 'F'.... Jojo
  4. 610GC1123.. should be the part number for the head studs. This is for the 20 bolt heads. All 20 are the same. They are $21.00 ea. at Agkits.. To be honest, I have been told the old ones can be re-used if they are not rusted or messed up in any way. My customer is a millionaire, so spending a thousand dollars on head studs was no issue.. Im not trying to pry into your wallet, just passing 'on' some info.. Jojo

Saw this just now! Thank you! LOL

  6. at the rear of the frame, there is the 4 wire harness that goes to the tail light harness.. the is a square duetch connector in the left corner of the frame rail. on that harness should be a single 'bullet' type wire and plug sticking out of the harness by itself. That is the reverse light wire.. check to see if it is dissconnected, and also put the tranny in rev. with the key on and check for power. I assume you had a back up alarm, and it went out too... ?? jojo
  7. The heads weight abought 125 pounds each. I bought new studs from Agkits.com for the one I have, If you have 18 stud heads, then the studs at the ends of the heads are different. 4 per head. You will need to know that when ordering the head gaskets. the nuts are hard to find. I sand blasted mine and will re-use them. The truck I'm doing this for is a personal museum piece and a parade truck.. It wont go to 'work'. But I bet it stays together... jojo
  8. How The Hell ??????
  9. Well Mech. I do have a customer job in my shop.. I am taking 2 E-Tech wire harness's and making 1 good one.. I hang them on my engine crane, and pick them apart and repair the damages.. Then I ohm ut the wires to be sure they are connected and not shorted inside the harness.. It takes 6+ hours, when repairs are needed. I should get back to work on Sanford soon.. I have home repairs to do as well..
  10. Happy Birthday !!!!

  12. Hey Paul, That great pup is where us Yankee's came up with what we call Australian Sheppard's... Hope the Mr's is OK... Jojo
  13. Craig, Buddy... I almost added to my post about tearing the E-6 down.... I had 2 sweet mouse house's under the valve covers, as well.. this engine was in the woods upstate NY.. too funny... Your rocker shafts look at lot better then mine.. jojo
  14. I'm pullin' for you.... and the thought of a Hot Naked nurse...
  15. I agree with factoring the cost of getting it by what ever means. When I bought my High priced IH. The seller loaned me his 'Rollback' at no charge. It was a 45 minute ride, one-way.. I saved a bunch of Moolah.. jojo
  16. Hell Yeah !!!!!
  17. If you can get your Mack parts dept. to print the KSA+A book.. there is a bunch of goodies in it. Part numbers and such. The other book is one that I got from E-Bay. Its a copy of a copy of a copy.. But the words are ledgible. Its an E-6 2 valve engine book.. jojo
  18. Its an E-6, or one of them anyway... good call going to Agkits for parts... PAI, has a lot of parts.. As you have seen, there are a few other guys here that are very smart. They can guide you very well, and I can add a little bit when it comes to buying parts, because of the one that I am building.. jojo
  19. Yes sir.. another concern I had was, if you were to free it up after 'Giving it Hell'... then actually get it to fire up,, what will cut loose?? and cause more work if it's not 'Fatal'? I truly understand being anxious... Ive been there many times, whether it was a dirt bike, snowmobile, lawn equipt... and so-on.. I have blown some engines because i was in a hurry,, .. anyway, you got this... jojo
  20. At the risk of sounding foolish,,, Since the engine is seized, and you have tried really hard to get it to rotate. Do you think you might break something else trying to get it freeded up? I have freed up a few engines, not many, just a few.. I usually have the heads off, and then lots of weasle piss, and a 4x4 block on the piston and a mallet. I dont just dive in aggresively, I look at it for a bit to make sure I wont hurt something, or myself .... I did this to an ENDT 673 2 years ago, and (2) John Deere 3179's in the last year. I new that I had new pistons and re-build kits, but I tried to be cautious.. When I got the pistons out, and tried to use my liner puller, non of the liners would move due to rust and age.. I welded beads inside the liners, to shrink them, then used my liner puller... anyway, Im just telling you what I did on 3 engines in recent years.. and with the heads off, you can see what condition it is in.. jojo
  21. An old timer told me something many years ago..... "The Metal Don't Lie !" I believe he will do a great job getting this one running good again.. jojo
  22. also sounds like they dont know what type of engine he has.. So then they will bill him for their education...
  23. sorry bud, but they aint doing cups in an E-Tech CCRS.... Who ever said they will do them, should have told you... "we dont change the injector cup's" The labor isnt worth it, and WE rarely ever see an injector cup fail in a 'Gray Motor'.. Please be sure they know how to fix your engine... jojo
  24. the inj. studs had a hex head in the middle, 7/16" if i remember right.. but you really need to pay attention to Glenn and FJH, and take their advice.. I only posted what I did, because I was desperate and had no other way to get it done. I didnt have their help back then.. jojo
