Craig, Buddy... I almost added to my post about tearing the E-6 down.... I had 2 sweet mouse house's under the valve covers, as well.. this engine was in the woods upstate NY.. too funny... Your rocker shafts look at lot better then mine.. jojo

I'm pullin' for you.... and the thought of a Hot Naked nurse...

I agree with factoring the cost of getting it by what ever means. When I bought my High priced IH. The seller loaned me his 'Rollback' at no charge. It was a 45 minute ride, one-way.. I saved a bunch of Moolah.. jojo

Hell Yeah !!!!!

If you can get your Mack parts dept. to print the KSA+A book.. there is a bunch of goodies in it. Part numbers and such. The other book is one that I got from E-Bay. Its a copy of a copy of a copy.. But the words are ledgible. Its an E-6 2 valve engine book.. jojo

Its an E-6, or one of them anyway... good call going to Agkits for parts... PAI, has a lot of parts.. As you have seen, there are a few other guys here that are very smart. They can guide you very well, and I can add a little bit when it comes to buying parts, because of the one that I am building.. jojo

Yes sir.. another concern I had was, if you were to free it up after 'Giving it Hell'... then actually get it to fire up,, what will cut loose?? and cause more work if it's not 'Fatal'? I truly understand being anxious... Ive been there many times, whether it was a dirt bike, snowmobile, lawn equipt... and so-on.. I have blown some engines because i was in a hurry,, .. anyway, you got this... jojo
-
At the risk of sounding foolish,,, Since the engine is seized, and you have tried really hard to get it to rotate. Do you think you might break something else trying to get it freeded up? I have freed up a few engines, not many, just a few.. I usually have the heads off, and then lots of weasle piss, and a 4x4 block on the piston and a mallet. I dont just dive in aggresively, I look at it for a bit to make sure I wont hurt something, or myself .... I did this to an ENDT 673 2 years ago, and (2) John Deere 3179's in the last year. I new that I had new pistons and re-build kits, but I tried to be cautious.. When I got the pistons out, and tried to use my liner puller, non of the liners would move due to rust and age.. I welded beads inside the liners, to shrink them, then used my liner puller... anyway, Im just telling you what I did on 3 engines in recent years.. and with the heads off, you can see what condition it is in.. jojo

sorry bud, but they aint doing cups in an E-Tech CCRS.... Who ever said they will do them, should have told you... "we dont change the injector cup's" The labor isnt worth it, and WE rarely ever see an injector cup fail in a 'Gray Motor'.. Please be sure they know how to fix your engine... jojo -
the inj. studs had a hex head in the middle, 7/16" if i remember right.. but you really need to pay attention to Glenn and FJH, and take their advice.. I only posted what I did, because I was desperate and had no other way to get it done. I didnt have their help back then.. jojo
-
I'm NO E-6 pro, By Any Stretch of the word, but when I pulled the injectors from some heads that I had,, I did not use heat, but I did use the studs to help jack the injector out. It took over an hour per injector because I didnt want to cause ANY damage, and avoid damage to the threads in the heads. even though I had a good rebuilt set to go back in.. I purposely took my time, as sort of a learning experience.. I got them out and yes I did damage some of the injector studs, I had new ones.. i was able to save the injectors. of course my heads were on the bench. I had room to work. I suggest you pay attention to Glenn and FJH...

its no mystery why crime is so rampant and easy to get away with,,,, those Sh!theads, are led by example. If the Dem's can do it,,, So can I..

you can get a sheet of gray gasket paper from NAPA and trace the old one if it stays in one piece.

I really expected more Republican win's, and by slightly wider margin's.. I guess half the country likes High prices for gas, food, utilities, cars, houses, appliances and so -on, as well as supply chain issue's, and really high crime rate's, and everything being 'Racist' if your white, and homosexuals trying to brainwash our children, and school systems are promoting it, and they also like that educators have reduced the criteria to pass grades in schools, so as not to offend non- whites, .. I will stop here so others can add to the list of things that Democrats seem to like...

Yeah, I don't get how that nut case won P.A. yes he had a stroke,. I'm sorry,. But I think he is not fit to be in the Senate. Anyway,. We saw this in 2020 as well .

do you not have the old one? A radiator shop can build one if you can give them the old one...

I get it... I took a stuck END 673 apart and it took hours and a ton of patience.. I worked slow and deliberate, Just Like a Mack Engine... I also had to be carefull with 2 John Deere 3179's for the same issue... On all of those, I had the heads off, but it took a lot of PB Blaster and very slow 'working back and forth' to get them to move then a slow twist to pull them out.. Be patient, and good luck... jojo

Another part of this for me, with many machines i have seen, and seen go to rust or the crusher....... This 'IH KB-7'.... was just sitting outside with a rotten tarp over it and NO windows in it... I just had to rescue it... Like I said, I have not seen a truck like mine around here. I am sure they exist, but i have been to quite a few truck show's in recent years and a couple new ones for me this year and,, No IH KB's.. Who know's, maybe I take it to a show, and I may be 'The Cool Kid on the Block' I just love this stuff and old iron no matter what it is.... Jojo

I have some knowledge about "What is it Worth"? I bought a truck 2 years ago, for 7K.. I know I paid a lot for it, but I wanted it, and I have never seen one around here. I do the repairs myself, and that helps save money. I have been told I paid too much, But.... I wanted this truck... and I basically built a Mack engine for the guys company and just billed 6K of it for the engine work and added 1K out of my 'Piggy Bank'.. anyway, I am proud to own it... I have posted it before... Jojo

2007 Mack CXN613 E7 low PSI Engine Oil
Joey Mack replied to Shortdawg67's topic in Engine and Transmission
Oil analasys by far is best,. Maybe cut and oil filter open and remove some element to inspect for metal.. do these while waiting for the results of the analysts. Personally, I like to see what I can find, while waiting, especially when I have a short amount of time, and a boss/ customer looking at me for answers NOW.. :).
