  1. Why did you turn them IN? If you are trying to tighten the steering radius, you turn them out, but not the the edge of the hole, you leave at least a 1/8" recess..
  2. My first wife went home at 46.. ALS, took 9 months to take her life.. It is a terrible thing to witness, She was very strong to the end..
  3. I was just thinking about "Skippy Mack" I know that her and her family were new here, but there were a lot of posts of them building the B-Model.. It was kinda' nice to see the family workin' on their truck.. jojo
  4. You sure can cook up some nice breast's.. Luv it..!!
  5. Hey Jeff M... Any chance Maietta construction has any more of their late 70's DM's?? I drove them from 1999-2000.. and Shaw Bros, had a bunch of RD's.. and there was a concrete co. in Westbrook, that had blue/green colored DM's.. I forgot their name... Les,,, something.. anyway... I always wonder about the old trucks I used to drive, and re-build, when I lived there and worked at Maine Mack, from 2000-late 2005.. Jojo
  6. When you had the thermostat out, did you take the belts off, and run the engine to see if bubbles are present? you can also bypass the air compressor coolant lines in order to rule out a failed compressor head. If you do this and bubbles are present, I would say bad head gasket(s).. If the bubbles go away, hook the compressor lines back up and check for bubbles again.. If bubble show up, then the air compressor is bad.. jojo
  7. I was wondering about trying to suppress this heat.. I understand what Glenn posted and I agree.. Can you retard the timing a couple degrees? I also thought about the alcohol/water injection I had on my '69 Camaro.. would that help turn the heat down ? It's been a long time for me, so there is a chance I forgot a detail or two.. But, I think about a timing adjustment first.. If I were an engine,,,, I would rather be wimpy, over being burned up.. jojo
  8. Happy Birthday !!!!!  🍻

  15. it is 40 inches wide and 76" tall, and inside is 18" deep... I made a rack that will hold 12 of my long guns, and the bottom should hold all of my hand gun's..
  16. Its my pleasure.... Stick around here long enough, and your mind will be blown, as you learn how many guys will help you, and the amount of knowledge they have... I learn something every day, and I have been working on the Dogs for 25 years.. jojo
  17. they are around $40.00,,, buy one... Install it into that plugged port on the oil filter pad, and take a true reading.. You need a ( 0-150 PSI ) oil filled gauge.. and a few small fittings to make it fit.. So for about $50.00,,,, You will have a very important tool... jojo
  18. Yes sir, I beleive it was a transfer switch unit for our diesel generators.. It burned a couple of the 480 contacts and melted them down.. they just throw this stuff in the scrap dumpster.. I also scored a smaller stainless cabinet, that i removed from a lift station.. not only do I get usable cabinets, but the last one I got had about 30' of copper wire that is 3/8" diameter.. I am going to use it for my new battery cables and starter cables on my '48 Int. I also got 50+ feet of 12 gauge wire, that has a hard insulation.. I will use it to run my lights and such..
  19. So far I have about $25.00 invested, and I removed about 30 pounds of White Brass, 10 pounds of copper, and the rest is mixed metals,.. when I scrap the metal I will profit..
  20. It holds its own correct level.. it takes less than a quart to fill it initially, then as the rearend gears turn, oil is splashed lubed to trough's made inside the housing. it will direct the oil to the poer divider, the extra oil drains into the top reduction then circulates in there, then the extra oil drains down into the lower reduction, (Banjo housing),, That is why you check the level at the rear plug only, after the unit has been in service.. jojo
  21. Have you put a gauge on the oil filter pad to see what the oil pressure actually is?
  22. Hi Guy's.. For a few years now I wanted to buy a big gunsafe, but I do not have $2000.00 + to get one.. Well in the scrap dumpster and my new City Job, was this Jewel.. I am no craftsman, but this will work...
  23. I see it now,, good deal.. engine speed is read by the sensor in the flywheel housing.. RPM/TDC sensor. . Those wires take a beating.. I would check them for wear or damage.. gently tug on them to see if they are weak, and wanting to move inside the plugs..
  24. These are for Mack rears.. I expect you to have 92-93 series.. I posted the book for the 200 series anyway. I have 2 new complete sets of svc. manuals.. P.M. me if you want to buy any of them.. You can search E-Bay for them. let me know if you cant read the book number in the bottom right corner.. Jojo
  25. it would be good to know the codes.. I looked at the pictures again. I see the oil pressure gauge is up, ( 52 PSI ),, but the alt. gauge is not.. So the oil gauge goes up with the engine OFF?
