  1. Buddy If we were closer... I would let you pick from a few Rifles.. Dammit!!!!
  2. I dont have lots of money to do more/or higher quality work to this truck. I used a wire brush and brake clean to remove the rust from the hub assemblies. I cant afford sand blasting. I have also gathered up some new 12 volt parts, headlight bulbs, turn signal wand, and pigtails.. The turn signal wand is from Amazon, AKA , China/Taiwan.. it was $20.00. chromed plastic. I figure since it also came with a clear wiring diagram, that the diagram alone was worth the cost. at least I will have the new wiring in place, in the case the cheapo turn signal fails too soon .. I know one thing,,, since I stopped serving customers, and fixing trucks everyday... It is actually enjoyable to go into my shop and work on "Sanford" That's his name.. Yesterday I fixed a broken ABS wire on my wifes Avalanche.. I saved the cost of a new hub assembly.. $155.00 at Auto Zone.. 30 minute repair. I soldered the broken wire back together, and had a heat shrink ready and then I used 2 coats of a liquid elec. tape, that dries like plastic.. This repair should last a while.. OK, there is my "Shop Talk" for today... Jojo
  3. That beat up looking Chevy C-10, with the Flux Capacitor in the back, is a wood fired truck.. it runs on the gasses created by the charcoaled wood he burns.. he was splitting small pieces of wood into chunks, for an hour or so... It was impressive to see him get it ready.. and when he had a good bed of coals. he cranked it up, warmed it up and left.. he has a duct attached to the carb, and the engines vacuum pulls air through the fire and then the coals in the reactor, and then into the engine. Why am I not smart enough to think of stuff like that???
  4. I started out with bare spindles at 10:30, and this is as far as I got.. I wasnt in a hurry, and my 3 Pup's were there to help me. They were jumping on me, and begging for cookie's, and pats on the back. but we got this by 2:45.. Thanks for asking Bob... I hope all is good with you .. Jojo
  5. O.D. I'm Glad that I got different pics.. I was afraid that I may have posted pics that you may have gotten.. I got excited and started posting... I'm glad I met you ,Zina, and the pups.. jojo

  9. it makes it fresh and new, the elbow pipe will last for a couple years. just one of those little things we overlook when trying to keep leaks under control. jojo
  10. Thats the breather... it happens.. have you put a new spinner in there? #2134 I think thats right. I typed it really fast... If you get one from NAPA, make sure it is ALL metal... trust me... jojo P.S. replace the lower elbow hose.. I bet it is as hard as plastic... the nipple on the block is easy to remove, and reseal.. get that o-ring too.. if you cant, use good RTV.. jojo

  13. I would buy it in a heart beat at $500.00... but I am In N.C. Theres a rebuilder in Michigan that fixes them, but I can not remember their name.... maybe they would buy it.. IMO, that is one of the BEST Mack tranny's.. please dont scrap it.. sit on it til you find a good dollar for it.. it is a classic REAL tranny... jojo
  14. Larry, Can you remove the cluster and then remove the back panel to inspect the condition of the circuit board? also,, this is a stretch, but I did this for my Home heating system. I used my Fluke meter to OHM out all the resistors diodes and the other ones I cant name.. what I did was, picked out the ones that looked the same with the same striping, and ohm'd them.. I found one that was different from the other same one's.. I didnt have spec's, just saw it was different.. For me I was able to buy a mother board and fix my home heater.. 5 years ago, still heating now. my point is... if you find a "like" diode/resistor/capacitor, with a different value... maybe you could get a new one and solder it in to replace the bed one.. I know I am reaching out on this, but I'm not full of crap either.. We dont have parts at our disposal, so we have to go back to being mechanic's again... Hell you may find one in an old T.V. or something and melt it out to re-use it.. I have a kickass hand held soldering iron that will get it done.. I used it a few hours ago to repair a broken ABS sensor wire in my Wife's Avalanche.. $30.00 re-chargeable hand held tool,, on Amazon... Jojo

  19. I just met Tom and Zina.. super cool people... This show is great, lots of old iron.. I will have some pics as well.. Jojo :).
  20. I believe,, The brake pressure switch that shuts the cruise off, is a Normally open switch... Are you sure you have the correct switch. With truck off an no air pressure, you should be able to Ohm the switch and the fluke meter will say "OL".. if there is continuity, then its the wrong switch.
  21. Yes LTK, how are you doing?
