  1. "F' I am not smart on the E-6.. but I wanted your opinion about the endplay screws/button's, in the front cover. is it possible that the cam is walking, and causing a different sound? I have one in my shop, and I expect to get back to it and get it done this year, I have the book on setting the endplay,, but was curious about noise, after reading this post.. jojo
  2. To Me.... it is simple.. Yes many countries have their tyrannical govt. But I am an AMERICAN,, I care about our country first, and if we can help other's,, Great.. Hell yeah, help them... But My issue is simple,,,, Our current govt. is doing the best they can to destroy our great country, starting with trying to break the spirit of us,,, The Workers.., and Tell me that because I'm White, I'm the problem, but be right there to take 35% out of my earning's to give it to a D'Bag, that is too sorry to get a job, and because I don't look like him, I have to pay his rent/ food bill/ and every other thing... Really??? 2024, can't come fast enough... God Almighty, I get so pissed off!!! Sorry guy's,,, I know I vent on this thread, please forgive me, jojo
  3. Amen MACKS.. and the throw away money for the Slackers right here in the U.S.A. and don't forget all the freebie's for those that 'WALK' into our southern border, and get 'EVERYTHING THEY NEED'... jojo
  4. be gentle with the EUP wire screws.. they break easy... 2 turns loose is enough to slide the wire off.. light torque when you put them back on.. 5mm 1/4' drive socket.. good luck bud... jojo
  5. visual inspection.. keep it simple.. too many times guys want to grab the laptop, when there may just be a broken wire... visual inspection..... jojo
  6. Yes Sir!!! 'F'... I leaned towards checking valve lash, just from a maintenance stand point. It's free to do, just some labor, and it is also a form of a 'health check'... Of course, he probably has ceramic lifters, so a PROPER valve adjustment is crucial.. 🤔 jojo
  7. OK... so I read this thread from the beginning.. Here I go... Do you have a Jacobs 690 engine brake or Powerleash? Next, Do you know how to run the valve's PROPERLY! on this engine? Including setting bridge lash? I'm talking 'By the book'.. not the 'Cat' way.. for example... jojo
  8. did you use a gauge to check boost pressure?? or just a laptop? 21 seems low.. I would expect 28-31..
  9. O.D. I feel like you know my wife... I made a donation to BMT today, so maybe I will be able to post a full size picture of my Pipe... jojo
  10. I have several T-300 books,. Which tranny is yours,. T-310/ T-310M? For example... Then I should be able to post the book number.. I also have 2 extra sets of Mack tranny and driveline books to sell. About 15 books per set.. They are the real ones.. you can P.M me if you need more info. Jojo
  11. I would say that the best book you can get right now is the "Maintenance and Lubrication" book.. for your year; the book number is: TS-49406.. If you find this book, will you please let us know? that will help others who are looking as well... jojo
  12. dont jump into replacing EUP's.. remove the chrome heat shields, and see if the EUP wires are chaffed, and rubbing against the engine block.. the insulation does wear, and break off or rub off.. if the wires are exposed, you can use a brush-on wiring protector to cover the worn wire insulation. did you check the condition of the wires at the flywheel sensor? RPM/TDC sensor.. it is also very common that the wires on the engine side of the harness to be weak and even attached by only a few strands of wire. I have also found the pin in the plugs to be broken and barely touching.. since yours is a dump truck, there is a lot of sh!t coming off the left steer tire, and getting on to this wire harness.. Keep in touch...... jojo
  13. no throttle pedal codes?? boost sensor issue??
  14. Thats what I thought.. How long have you owned this truck, and what other trucks have you driven, that you are comparing this one too?? This truck should pull very well, but it aint no racecar... are you downshifting more than normal?? jojo
  15. Yeah,,, I just had to pick a little bit, to stir up a laugh... truth is... I'm clueless.. I do know that you will make a smart choice.. I wish you luck on this one... for what it's worth.. I own a Moffet Mounty, that I bought from a customer... they were going to scrap it.. I have had it for 11 years. I used it today... I knew the history, so to me the purchase was easy.. jojo
  16. are you hearing a boost leak, excessive black smoke?? The combo you have should be a damn good truck. I assume a triaxle dump truck.. what do you haul? I also guess its an E-Tech.. '99 or newer? jojo
  17. I feel like 9000 is worn out for a 'Ho',,,, jojo
  18. when was the last time you put new fuel filters on it??

  20. I have only been to about a dozen truck show's... But No Mack's at the show would be like vendors not selling Hot Dog's and sausage sandwhich's,.. Oh yeah funnel cakes and fried twinkies too,,,, jojo
  21. Bob, I would be surprised if No Mack's are allowed.. jojo
  22. Too funny Bob,,, for years I have made a joke about how to get everything for free,, it was to be a black lesbian in a wheelchair, with 2 children.. Oh well, I guess my 'White A$$' will just have to keep paying their rent, and 'Obama phone' bill,,, jojo
  23. we have a lot of people in charge of departments, that have agenda's, rather than 'a job to do'.. and if you call them out' on these issues, the first thing they say is you are a racist, and that is white supremacy speech.. Then everyone gets scared and lets them (Demonrats) do what they want to do..
  24. The engine harness is one piece, One thing you could try, is to swap the #6 EUP with another easy one to reach, and see if the code follows the EUP.. you can do this carefully with out damaging the orings, just make sure the chamfer is clean and smooth before installing the EUP.. then when you torque the bolts, be careful. new bolts torque to 60lbft, but you may want to back it down 10lbft.. when you go back new, you will have o-rings and get new bolts at that time.. jojo
  25. Thats one of my questions, TJC
