  1. Amen ! My Brother...
  2. That was F'n AWESOME !!!!!! I'll bring the beer...... jojo
  3. So I tried to take the wheel cyl. apart, I had to tap threads into one of the pistons and pull it using a homemade puller.. The washer is a Mack rear engine mount washer.. I have a small stack of those suckers.. now to find a rebuild kit.. im on a very tight budget, so I need to go easy... if I can get the brakes to work, I will be happy. I actually intend on driving it around town often, so hopefully, they wont rust up and freeze again..
  4. Yeah, Kind'a... But.... What I learned here after 2 and a half years, is that we are a bunch of great guys that take this seriously, and help AS A TEAM... And then we tell really cool stories, sparked by the topic at hand.. To me it's like sittin around a camp fire, havin some cold ones and bein BUD'S talkin about the trucks we LOVE/HATE... Just my Opinion.. and I like it...... Jojo
  5. I literally, rotate my gas from the house generator to the mower and shop generator. I keep some in the house Genny with stabil. Then after a while I drain it into a can for the mower. I don't leave the house Genny empty, because we have a lot of Crack Heads in my area, and they drive off the road and take out utility poles.. I lose power several times a year.. :).
  6. I'm like you DCW.. I wish I could be there. I would like to drive it.. of course I will be laughed at, when the owner sees me double clutch.. jojo
  7. Good luck Laser.. Keep in touch. 2nd -3rd, is the same gear position 6th-7th. I would expect it to act up on both sides if there is an internal issue. Also, crazy question... Any chance you were driving an Eaton tranny and now your in a Mack? Jojo
  8. Hey Duck, My guy charged me $200.00 to add the plug and quality wire, and the weatherproof box..... Just tossin that out there...
  9. Mech. Kick's Ass....
  10. I have a gen. hookup too. i had my electrician put it in.. Works great... It is not an auto system, I still have to pull start my Genny, and flip 2 switches, but after that..... I just go back to what I was doin'....
  11. yeah, I asked about a loose yoke as well, still no answer.. all good... jojo
  12. Im not smart on generators, because I just buy what I can afford..... (Cheapo's) I have a Craftsman 5500W with a whatever generator. It's 18 years old.. I did replace the carb last year. I have used it 20 + times on my little 1100 sqft house.. and it does a great job, for its age.. I have a 7500W that runs my toy welders, just in case this one dies,,,, But,,, so far it is ready to go.. I cranked it Friday before the storm hit, just in case I had to switch it out.. 1 Pull... I let it run for 10 min's, cut the fuel line off and let it die out.. Yep, there are many I would like to own, but my little $400.00 Genny, still gets it done... You rekon, P.M. is the reason it run's? Jojo
  13. it's ok... I went through the same thing with the master cyl. $250.00+ I took the part number to Oreillys of all places and got one for $52.00 Of course it needs to last, but now I have one that is not solid rust and I can get it sleeved if needed.. 😉 😘
  14. Yes sir.. I just found new replacement cylinders, with all hardware, and fitting's.. On E-Bay... $325.00 USD.. I'm going to take mine apart and try to hone them, and put new pistons and cups in them.. Yes my truck is a hobby truck/parade truck... jojo
  15. The thing is... If it does it on the low side and not on the high side. We need to look at other issues than air. He is not using the gray button to split the gears, and 2nd - 3rd. Is the same stick position, as 6th-5th. I would love to test drive it. I hate to make a piss poor comment, but is it possibly operator error? I'm on thin ice here... Is this truck new to the driver? Did you come from an Eaton tranny to a Mack 2018? Another thing too, have you checked the out put yoke on the tranny to see if it is loose? With respect, Jojo
  16. Does it do the same thing on the High side?
  17. when this happens,,, are you splitting the gears Lo-Hi or gear to gear?... jojo
  18. It will be ok.. Im just looking forward to pushing the middle pedal, and it works....
  19. Not really, Mark.... It is a simple 5 spd. Mack with a simple back box..... The shift cover in the 2070 is removeable without taking the tranny apart.. The 107's had shift rails that went through the whole case, and repairing them was an effort.. Although I dont care for the 2070, It still is a very strong tranny, and easier to repair, before actually have to pull the tranny.... jojo
  20. I can still get the whole wheel cyl. It's all good... I need to get them repaired/ replaced, new wheel seals, and new axle nuts and lock rings.. the old axle nuts have a dozen chisel marks in them....
  21. Yep, The rust in them is pretty bad... I will still take them apart anyway and see if I can hone them out... I did the front wheels last spring and they seem to be holding fluid.. Thanks, Bob... jojo
  22. OK, So a little more of the Biden Virus has made its way to Charlotte Mecklenburg P.D. They are no longer stopping cars with: Tinted window's/ Loud Music/ Loud exhaust/ Expired tag's,,, ( So how about having ins. to protect the normal people they crash into?)/ ... the reason, Any guess's??? It's because Non-white's are 6 times more likely to be pulled over for these infraction's.... Maybe they need to address the real issue???? That Non-Whites are 6 time's more likely to commit crime... I know I sound like a Racist, but i'm really not... I just want to know that innocent people are safe doing normal everyday stuff... jojo
  23. Here's a little more shop talk... I finally got off the couch, and in my shop and back to work on My '48.. I took the rear wheel off to do a brake job.. All new brake parts were installed by the previous owner, unfortunately, the truck sat un used for so long that the new wheel cyl. froze up, and the shoes froze to the adjusters.. I got the shoes freed up, but there is no saving the wheel cyl. Heck even the bearings were new... So now its time to find the wheel cyl's. Wish me luck.. Jojo
  24. cracked wire for the EUP?? The last one I built also had worn EUP lobes,, litteraly worn the lifts right off the lobes.. Did you pull the EUP roller and inspect it and the cam lobe?
  25. I wonder if Hick, figured out his shifting issue? If you are watching, I can post a picture of the tranny, from my svc. Manual.. jojo
