  1. I bet he got a raise and a new truck..
  2. no doubt !!!!! and fill your britches too..
  3. I'm curious?? How come you cant pull the line and follow it back to the tank? if you have a small bulk head connector in the floor, thats no biggie, they still sell them, or you can remove it and install a grommet and new line to the tank, and add a regulator to the tank port to protect the system.. jojo
  4. yes, but there is also fuel timing changes that need to be done... I only did 1 about 6 years ago, so i'm rusty.. hopefully you fix this one.. Do you have a mechanical Robert Bosch pump kickin around ? since you have a few others, converting would be easier, because you have examples to look at... 👍 jojo
  5. I am not very smart about the inner workings of the injection pump, but I would consider a weak spring inside the pump/ or rack actuator.. can you hook a fuel pressure gauge to the input of the secondary fuel filter to see if it fluctuates, causing the lope? or while it lopes? Maybe to see if it a lift pump issue.. My GUESS would be if fuel pressure is steady, then there may be an injection pump issue.. There's a few really smart old timer's on here that know the inside of those pumps like the back of their hands... I hope they join in.. as far as the throttle, did you check the condition of the TPS at the pedal, as well as wear on the roller under the pedal. Lot's of dirt off of work boots gets in there... Im trying to keep it simple, rather than loading a parts cannon, Jojo
  6. You can do a wiggle wire test while it is running. You can wiggle the RPM/TDC wires and plug, and the injection pump connector, and the FIC/VMAC connectors, as well as the acc. relay behind the dash, to see if any of them shut the truck off.. jojo
  7. I soil pressure above 10 PSI? Is the flywheel sensor wiring in good condition and plugged in good? That is the RPM/TDC sensor.. make sure the duetch connector at the governor housing is connected good, and that there are no loose pins in either side of that plug. when you put that plug back together, make sure it is clipped into the holder and wire tied in place.. jojo
  8. Thank's Mark.... 😁
  9. I bet,, Hell, just hearing it shift gears and look up to see tail lights comin at you instead of headlights... It is one of my favorite tranny's... I mean transmission's.. gotta becareful of what I say these day's... jojo
  10. i think it is a cummin's 'B' all mechanical.. I did not do very good about taking notes...
  11. Here's one I forgot to post, wish I was closer to it.. It's Dodge, forgot the year, '80 I think... Sorry.

  13. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1J7GpvFrol2f74Apt6cTkoTFTgL-HndW4 Try this link. there was a list of free PDF's for auto shift..
  14. I wish I had a list of fault codes for it. Almost sounds like a loose connection on a sensor.
  15. Yes sir.. yours was an X 107.. way better than the 2070.. I drove late 70's DM and R model dump trucks with that tranny.. I like having several reverse gears... The 2070 replaced the 107..
  16. Yeah, first time for me... And yes, lots of loud music... I like the old trucks anyway, not interested in the Ego's and million dollar display's
  17. TJC... The 2070 tranny is a 5spd. With an air operated low split, in the back box. It is un synchronized.. most times you shift like a 5 spd. If needed, you put the blue button down, and you can use 1st and 2nd then come out of second, ( double clutch) in neutral, shift blue button up, and go back to 1st. Then finish the rest of the 5 spd's.. 2+5=7... It is also an overdrive tranny.. jojo
  18. Sounds like a "shop talk" topic... Copy it there, and I bet the stories will fly in...
  19. Is Alec in jail yet??? Oh wait,. He's a lib.... Nevermind...,.
  20. Me too Much.. oh well...
  21. A camp fire would be great.... I look back,, hell no,,, not again.. no F'n way...
  22. Oh My God.....
  23. Mech... as far as the main shaft thing... at least you can drive it to get out of the way/ off the job site/ load on a drop deck/ etc: ..... and besides... You a damn smart MF'r anyway... Just sayin'.... jojo
  24. yes ... double disc cluches
  25. yes Mech.. the main shaft in the 200 series has offset splines, and a break away groove.. so if the main shaft snaps in the "normal" way.. it will stay together. but you will only have 1st. and rev. 2-5 will not work.. it's a cool feet of engineering.. the input shaft will turn the counter shafts and, rev. and 1st. will still engage.. they use the same sliding clutch... jojo
