Jojo
  2. Cam has to come out.. and ther are specific procedures that have to be followed.. You can NOT press the gear back on cold..
  3. did you put the off-set cam key in the cam shaft? the 400 has a staight key.. PAI EKY-3179 MACK 54GC29 CAMSHAFT WOODRUFF KEY (.022" OFFSET) (E7) (OEM)
  4. I say... All Good.. Biden is dead, I mean,,, not running the country anymore, I mean,,, O'bama has a new puppet.. I guess this thread can be called.. ''The Best of O'Bama''.
  5. Bob, my answer to unwanted visitors, was a remote control driveway gate. I made it myself out of Lowe's chain link fence parts from the garden center.. It is NOT pretty, but it has been drawing a line for 8 years now. I have an electric gate operator that works just fine.. If I happen to se the God Squad ( nothing against Christians),,park on my street, I watch them walk up and down my road to see how to get to my door bell.. It's funny.. I have 400 + feet of frontage all fenced in..
  6. 🤣
  7. Pheww... I thought you .... Well,, you know? Good to see you Bob..
  8. how far are they moving? maybe they need to adjusted correctly. Unless you have done that already, if so... re-check adjustment..
  9. what style of brake shoe does it have? if there is a pivot pin for the shoes, they could be siezed..
  10. Interesting, Vlad.. I'm curious too.. I did wheel end work on a B-61, and was able to find a good rear most axle seal, and removed the seal in the middle of the hub. This was on a working dump truck, that runs 4-6 days a week by one driver, ''the owner''... no leaks or other issues.
  11. Bottle hauler,, not tryin to bust your Ball$, but its too is an old post. Do you want to start your own thread? It will get better resullts.. I have books on your engine, and can post Mack spec sheets for you, if that will help.. I suggest a new thread.. Jojo
  12. it would be worth the extra time to cap the oil line and put the fuelines back on to run it, this way you can see what each cylinder is doing and hear what they say..
  13. Gosh, I hope you dodged a bullet.. can you cap the oil feed line for the turbo and put the fuel lines on and run it with manifold off and watch each port?
  14. I guess you re-used the cam and crank sensors? the crank sensor (RPM-TDC) harness can be damaged easily, causing a bad connection.. JoeH is right.
  15. Buddy, that post is 5 years old..
  16. over heated relay? check fuse 40 in the fuse box under the hood next to the steering shaft. clip a home made ground wire from the EECU housing to a good ground on the block.. put the ether away,, It will get addicted to it, and then....... I assume that with the new pump you have tried to prime it up firm, and still no start? is the oil level rising? is the oil getting thin? fuel diluttion... do a halo test on some clean cardboard, the brown stuff..
  17. It would be great if you had a bore scope to stick in the turbo port.
  18. Bedtime for me here in the states.. good luck sir.
  19. are there any odd bolts mounting brackets to the manifold? are the turbo mount bolt correct, or been replade with longer ones? you can check those holes by simply looking in them with a flash light inserted into the turbo ports. if you see the light coming from a bolt hole, you likely found where the slug came from.. I'm pullin' for ya... jojo
  20. what is the inner diameter of the piece? 10 mm I presume?
  21. that looks like the bottom of a bolt hole that was pushed out by a bolt that was installed too deep.. i need to think on it.. any other pictures? wide out rather than zoomed..
  22. 1 or 2.. its a '97 not enough info here JoeH..
