  1. Diesel is still $5.49-$5.69, here today.. Gas, $4.39 ish......
  2. so ... you stopped the oil leak? I assume you were able to use the truck to see if you fixed it? jojo
  3. Im not sure I am following you, sorry. The mph sensor is the VSS.. The wires have the numbers printed on them, you can peel back the loom and read the code, it tells you which module it goes too, the plug in the module, and the wire terminal number.. Did you see that on the wire or just the schematic? also, are you checking the power at the sensor plug? ...... if you unplug the bulkhead connector and the speed sensor, did you ohm both wires individually, to see if there is resistance? there should be about, .02 ohms resistance on a good closed line.. it would be good to have a helper on this due to the distance of the wires. with the plugs unplugged, did you ohm the 2 wires together to see if they are shorted? if there is continuity, then you have an issue in that harness.. which would explain the voltage drop you stated. sorry I cant be more help on this, I really need to be there, I dont know how many different segments there on these wires.. jojo
  4. just reach up and pull the plug on the inside of the valve cover.. torque is only around 20 lbft for the cover bolts
  5. Wow!!!!.. MarkT.. thats cool.. Penn's Best was there too, on route 6 I beleive. I used to run to I-81 N a bunch and across I-88 .. I pulled Jacob's ladder West bound I-90, only around 20 x's . I woudnt' mind doing it again.. just because... jojo
  6. and this is the point where I dont need to post thoughts, just ask questions..... jojo
  7. I sent you a P.M. Maybe 3 times.. not sure, something wasnt right, I drove Pumpkin trucks out of Mehoopany, from '98-early 2000.. I ran that area a bunch, because I was sent to New England on 95% of my loads... I used to drive by my (home) exit in Maine, when I delivered to Skowhegan, and such.. I pulled a lot of P&G loads from the mill, in the 'Endless mountains' well a year and a half's worth...
  8. I have said that soooo many times... my wife has no sense of humor, ... you are exactly right.. Hell I thought because I am 3rd generation Italian in the U.S., that I would get some freebie's.... I am "Latin" right?? jojo
  9. Nice... Git'r'done.. jojo
  10. Too kind Mark T... That would be a cool deal.. I would enjoy it.. I'm slowly trying to get engines sent to me for rebuilds. I had 3, got 1 done and gone, 2 left. One is almost done, just waiting on parts, the other is an E-6 2v, for a '60 B Model.. its resto project. I already did the tranny, jojo
  11. My God !!! This is really bad... (stating the obvious) I know that if I didnt own all of my trucks, My house and all but my wife's Tri-Glide.. I would have already been wiped out... I am just afloat.. Hell I went to buy chlorine for my little 14' pool, and it was more than doubled in price. We can't even stay home and have an affordable good time... I say this as I watch the traffic in and out of 2 drug houses right across the street..( on my security camera's) They are the smart one's. no mercy, no responsibilities.. ok, back on topic.. God bless you for the ability to keep it going.. jojo
  12. Christ almighty.. I think about all you guys that fill Big truck fuel tank's, everyday.. I can get away with squirting 5-10 gallons, due to my short range of operation, but It still adds up quickly. just last week, 3 days of my gross sales, paid for me to operate, the other 2 days paid me... I made just under $550.00.. for the week.. Oh well,, jojo
  13. Damn... I fueled my service truck on thursday, $5.49.. went back to same place saturday.. $5.69... I didnt fuel today, i was in my shop, not on the road... jojo
  14. our local news is reporting a diesel fuel shortage here in N.C. Is this happening in youre state? I would think there would be a surplus. the price goes up .20c or more every few days. jojo
  15. i was just curious... when ever I read these type of posts, and the word "delete" is in the post, I cringe.. I will just keep reading and hope to learn something.. jojo
  16. isnt there a fuel pressure regulator on the outlet at the front of the head, like an MP-8?.. what is a regulator delete upgrade? I dont like the word ''Delete'.. jojo
  17. did you read the wire code on the sensor harness, to what path it takes?
  18. honestly, all pins.. the 'devil inside' could be anywhere.. I dont have a go-to answer other than that.. how about isolating the wires for the sensors, and checking those pin's first. do you have back-up probes to put into the back of the plug on the correct terminals to see the voltage drop on you DVOM, when you plug it back in? I'm sorry, I am not describing this very well.. jojo
  19. sounds like a short to ground, if you get a voltage increase when you unplug the bulkhead connector.. without have a diagram, myself, I would do an ohms tests on all the pins the see if you have continuity on 2 lines that should be closed/not connected to each other.... what turbine are you asking about? these electrical issues are hard to diagnose, this way.. jojo
  20. Look at the top right corner above the water filter, I think only 1 temp sender, and 1 level sensor in the bottom of the surge tank, also on the right.. jojo
  21. Bob.. the second shift pattern is a box pattern.. top gear will have the stick up and to the right, at the dash board.. if you shift this one like the other one you will grind into the gear (if you get it) and then the truck will slow down.... it's a down shift not an up shift... I drove an International 8100 with this same shift pattern as the second picture.. 2 different patterns.. if i remember right , the second tranny doesnt have the lever in the shift cover that lets you shift the 'H' pattern... i'm having a brain fart.. the second pattern can be skip shifted which makes it an 'X' pattern... confused yet?? I almost am... anyway.. if the second pattern is what you are currently driving, get used to it... and yes like me, when you get into an 'H' pattern truck you will probably scrub a gear or 3.. then when you go back to 'box' pattern... well... I may have just rambled on this instead of helping.. jojo
  22. my God... you guys are tough.. I have always been strong, but the last few years have been bad... I'm only 53, and my knees are sore all the time, my lower back is so f'd up, that I am having a hard time doing road call's.. I can work in my shop, because I have tools to lift my work, I can loose 20 pounds off my gut but the rest of me is rock solid, but my joint's restrict me.. I don't like the new me... You go and walk youre ASS off Bob... God Bless you and your wife... jojo
  23. how old is the (old) Mack 9spd? I think there were some that had lo-lo and3 on the low side and 5 on the top. the newer 9 speeds shift similar to a 10 spd, but in high range you go up for 6th instead of over too you and down.. 8ll is similar.. hell the 13 speed is the same pattern but without the splitter for the top 4 gears... jojo
  24. if the plug is loose it also allows the injector to move, suction from the intake stroke can draw oil in, and pressure from the compression stroke and power stroke can push the oil into the fuel line bore..
  25. if the plug on top is loose, oil can get around the threads onto the fuel line end in the head..
