  1. once again,,,, you find the Funny... You and GADave got this dialed in... Jojo
  2. Your thought's are well thought out.. jojo
  3. Yes 'V' my first thought was a sticking engine brake or a bad VEBC.. I was not sure about the turbo affecting it while idling. What is your thoughts on the turbo affecting it at idle, since the turbo is not working at that time.. please correct me if I'm wrong.. jojo
  4. Best of luck to you....Let us know how it goes.. Many guys on here have deleted trucks, and you may be able to help someone with your expereince's... jojo
  5. I have some great news.. A few days ago I posted that our City of Salisbury N.C. had an issue with putting an American flag in our new public park. "Bell Tower Green" . The Issue was created by those in charge of the new park.. Well on Wednesday, 50 people met with the city council, and had expressed themselves eloquently. I read the very long article in our news paper, and the meeting was respectful and to the point.. So while we poke fun and at times cuss out our king on this thread, I wanted to post a happy ending to a crappy story.. We are getting an American Flag in our new public park... BTW, the council vote was unanimous. God Bless America.. Jojo
  6. yes sir.. Just tossing out some thoughts.. I know these MP's are sensitive to any repairs, and then you have t do a 'learn data reset' and update the software in the ECU.... Yes, codes should be present.. It hurts to see all the money being spent and the problem still exists. I wonder if he was able to calibrate the VGT actuator for the new turbo, even though it came with one, didnt we have to remove it and set it with that little plastic gauge,? jojo
  7. with the lighting bolt 'on' turn the cruise control 'off'... the push the reset button down and count the flashes. run through them twice to be sure you got all of them.. have a pen and paper ready, then come back here and we will tell you what the code/s are for for.. jojo
  8. what model and year,,,, 'R/RD' have sticky pedals and treadle valves...
  9. the head was off, is the cam timed correctly?
  10. Yeah I kringe when I see good stuff get destroyed for fun.. i guess because i wish i had the money to buy them, rebuild them, and sell them to someone who needs a new engine.. but... to each his own.. Just my crappy opinion... jojo
  11. I like the '64.. my high school friend had one.. I loved the 3 sticks for the tranny and transfer case, his had 'dualmatic hubs' it was a tough truck, for a 4 banger.. not fast just tough...
  12. you are too kind.. I would love to see other guys post their kick ass shop stuff.. Hell I dont care if they making clocks or bird houses, or whatever,,, just .... well... whatever.. Jojo
  13. sorry, I actually watched it from this post.. Hmmm ..thanks for the compliment.. jojo
  14. more boring pic's Onyx... 2002 Rd In-frame.. Last July.. I like to paint them as I go, to me it looks professional. Of course it need's to run professionally.. just sayin' jojo

  17. I have 2 vid's of 2 Mack engines I built in July... Just boring stuff...
  18. My friend lives in Missouri.. I will ask him to send me one..
  19. Swishy, Here in the States... If you get a C.D.L. (Commercial drivers liscense) in an automatic truck, you are not legally allowed to drive a truck with a manual tranny.. It is something to laugh about.. What a damn waste.... Jojo
  20. you have an M-Drive... I bet the clutch actuator is leaking air, causing the shifting problem.. PTT can do several tests to check stroke and pressure, but I bet you will need to pull the tranny and replace the air bag actuator, may as well replace the clutch as well, because the system is sensitive enough to recognize clutch wear.. Sorry..... Others will chime in... Jojo
  21. No... My friend supplied E-Tech parts, and I made it happen... It's a 2002 engine disguised as a '99... I replaced the manifolds,, well, really everything on the left side... I had to replace the water pump housing to install the bundle type oil cooler.. and add the oil filter system, (easy). and so on...
  22. I converted it from a plate type oil cooler to an early E-Tech.. totaly re-built. steel cam and roller set.. it was a clean build.. Look forward to another one... the first pic. is what I recieved.. jojo
  23. OK, I'm gonna take another stab at some shop talk.. I picked up this engine for a friend of mine, and rebuilt it.. No kick butt story, just shop talk.. I finished this over a month ago.. I cant wait to hear it run.....
  24. I want that Scout !!! I had a '73 when I was a kid... I miss that damn truck.... jojo
  25. You can by pumps that mount directly on to the PTO. the side covers on the tranny are where you would mount the pto. I suggest finding out which way the pto rotates, and then you can pick the side of the tranny that will turn it correctly. they also have reversers if you needed to install one.. depending on the size of the pump, you may need a support bracket, but I think you can get by with a small pump, if its just for the winch. there should be specs for the winch that will tell you the pump needed..
