  1. and then look inside the sensor plugs (sensor side) to see which one(s) is feeding the wires.. jojo
  2. To check for air in the fuel on an MP, there is 2 ways. Commonly, you hook a long clear line with a banjo fitting on one end that fits correctly to the banjo bolt on the fuel return, located at the front of the head behind the lifting eye. Then you run it back into the filler neck of the tank and submerge it into the fuel, run the engine and look for bubbles/suds.. and there it is.... another setup has you hook to the fuel filter pad, on the left side of the engine, unfortunately, I forgot which port you hook too. once again, a clear hose with the correct banjo fitting on one end. jojo
  3. my guess is the liners with the orings near the top of the liner. Mack did away with them when the E-Tech came out. I dont remember them in the first E-Tech's, but maybe.. I know I built a few E-7's that had them and the new liner kits did not... Of course I have only built about 30 of these engine's, so I really haven't seen it all yet.. jojo
  4. warranty would be great, but I think its 1 year on non-driveline parts. now if an extended warranty was purchased, that may help, but 3 years is a lifetime with this new junk, and Volvo, wont pay for it. jojo
  5. I guess, my idea was to get quality used parts, via UPS or FED-EX.. I am lucky to have them close to me. I wish others would buy engines from them for me to build.. jojo
  6. https://dexheavydutyparts.com Joe H .. look them up. I have an E-Tech engine in my shop that belongs to a customer from Missouri. He bought it from a location 30 minutes from me, I went and picked it up, and I am re-building it.. They have a boatload of parts.. Good luck, jojo
  7. do you have a "Dex" company in you r area?
  8. I hoped you felt that way.. thanks 67... jojo
  9. Paul.... I wish that a few of my customers, werent so concerned about lookin good.. I have charged more money for labor for LED's and Chrome than I should have.. I tell them... Let me fix it to D.O.T. compliance.. (Our Law dog's) here in the state's.. I have one guy that paid me $1500.00 to put light's, stack's ,and Chrome on his W900L.. But it needed that money put towards the F'd up lighting harness's and a fan clutch, and gaskets, and so on... Am I on the same page with you sir? jojo
  10. I just laugh... All these pro abortion folks at the capitol with signs saying "My Body My Choice" Where were those sign's when we were forced into the Kung Flu Bull Sh!t ??? We should have had choices that should have been easy, but no... we were forced into submission, and many people lost almost everything because of it... It's obviouse to me that 'killing' people is easy for a progressive lib... Lord help us... jojo
  11. our country hit the floor in January 2020... and we can't get up.... Joe Biden's clan is the reason.... I'm not well educated, Just smart.... jojo
  12. well, so far, I have been able to raise my hourly rate, $15.00... I just priced a 30# cylinder of, R-134a today.... My acct. at NAPA... $340.00.... it doubled.. jojo
  13. So my guess is that there is no water dripping from the drain tray, on to the ground?? You say the evap. core is clean and the filter is good? What is the history on repairs to the A/C sys.? Do you need a new expansion valve? is the Dryer saturated? it should have a sight glass on it to check condition... Now.... If this is a R1234y, lgbtq+ sytem,,, I may have wasted our time... jojo
  14. Hello Len. I was wondering what the maximum amount of shim's is allowable, after cutting the counterbore in an E-Tech? I havent found any info on this.. joojo
  15. Well Our king just sent 90 Howitzers, and 80,000 rounds,, or was it 18,000? i just forgot.. To Ukraine.. I guess he is trying to arm the world with our weapons. I bet he sends some to N. Korea, and Iran next. I think China has plenty.. Afghanistan, got a bunch from us... oh well.. This is an insane time in our countries life. jojo
  16. So true J.J.N............ jojo
  17. I agree, but havent figured a reasonable price. I told 2 of my customers that I was going up to $80/hr.. one said, (yesterday) yeah for your new customers, the one today told me "You can go ahead and pick up your tools now" . I finished my work and left, at $65/hr.. but I had a helper to pay today.. I guess I need to make them sweat.. no-one does house calls to do what I do around here.. the cust. I saw today is having me re-build the hendrickson haulmaxx suspension, and all wheel bearings and such, repair 2 lift axles, and set up the air brake system in the rear. he is converting a Pete 357 from a mixer to a Quad dump truck.. they did hang the lift axles, but need me to do the rest of it, before, sand blasting and then the body company installs the body.. I may do the wet system, but if I cant get paid good, i'm out.. jojo
  18. I get it, in a very small way.. some of what I do may take a month or 2, and the E-6 I have is at 2 years because of priorities, and prices go up so high, so fast, that my shorter, long jobs, are bid out, and I didnt know that my shop supply cost's were going to go up about 65% on the average, and when shop costs are estimated around $125-$150, per engine, Solvents, Sealants, Paint, nuts and bolts, gasket paper, shop costs like electricity, welding rods, oxy/acet. cash paid labor, and so on.. and then the price goes up a bunch during the job.. now i have to call my customer and ask for forgiveness.. That sucks!! I hope I can stay in business full time, but... Hell our local harbor Freight is starting at $14.80/hr.. thats about $10/ hr. less than i'm taking in (after costs)right now. without the hassels.. If I could work there, and continue building engines in my shop, I may actually keep more money... sorry guys, I'm a bit stressed... it's tough at times, being one guy trying to keep trucks rolling.. jojo
  19. The Mack trunnion repair works.. one of my customers has one, but he didnt know it. He bought it that way.. He's had it 3 years. I serviced it today, and it is in good shape. 2009 GU-713 Quad 'X' dump truck. 310M tranny, Mack rears... solid truck.. jojo
  20. Nope... .04 c more today here in Salisbury, N.C... $5.29/gal. I did some book work in the office today.. I aint makin SH!T !!!.. I am only keeping the water out of the boat... So I guess I should be greatful... Sure wish I was an "Illegal".. I'd be fine and laughing at all the Gringo's... Like they do here in central N.C. .. jojo
  21. ok... I'm not going to re-read all the posts... Allison tranny?? did you see my chart that I posted? Sensor input voltage is to be 5v.. on line VECU J-2 pin 11... pin 12 is the ground line... when the driveshaft turns it creates pulses and voltage that is sent to the VECU.. Did you replace the sensor yet?? is FMI-2 present in the code?? if it is, there is another test for a 6-8 code... I will try to help, but wont write the whole book,,, jojo
  22. I'm curious??? All this Dick waving by Biden, and Pelosi and a few others, plus sending equiptment and money to Ukraine to Fight Russia...... Will this get us into a war with Russia and their Ally Nations? jojo
  23. they add that.. they split 'Boss' to remove the trunnion bar. then weld clamp plates on to secure the new bar... jojo
