  1. the triangle panel on top of the dash, and there is one behind the clutch pedal... jojo
  2. That is great... Thank you for posting the repair.. Jojo
  3. lately, it seem's to me that these shop's and dealerships, are trying to be "Engine" mechanics first, without knowing how to drive, and 'feel' how a truck is supposed to drive. I am so glad I drove tractor trailers for 3 years before I became a mechanic. To me the real issue is "Training" at the shops... The high up guys know how to steal money legally, and the 'Techs' dont know any better.. It hurts my heart when I learn of these stories... however, I am so glad that BMT is here to help those that seek help.. It always amazes me that there are so many guy's here that are willing to help, and looking for nothing more, than to see the repair posted, so it's help's the next guy... BMT... Hell Yeah !!!! Jojo
  4. 'V' I asked the same Q earlier, I was thinking driveline issues, u-joints, angle, bearing play, loose yokes, anyway you get it.. I wish one of us was there to help save him 90% of his $13,000.00..... Jojo
  5. I guess I should ask where the shaking is..... In the steering wheel, or in you butt? steering wheel is usually front end issues, in your butt tends to be, behind you in the chassis and suspension and drive line... jojo
  6. have you not checked your tires to see if you have a broken belt in one? what about u-joints? seems to me, someone loaded a parts cannon and pulled the cord.. I hope you find this soon... 13K is too much to spend for a vibration.. Jojo
  7. Mucho Bueno Sinor'e.... jojo
  8. I have already replied to 2 new inquirie's today. I told them my new rate and $1/mile surcharge...... Cricket's.... That's ok... I'm curently building 2 Mack engines, I have a KW W-900L at my shop, and I have an E-7 to do after I finish the ASET-C that I started on Thursday.. It's a perfect time to test the new pricing... I'm not desperate for income this week... jojo
  9. My wife will be 62 Oct. 30... we have talked.... I told here to just take it, I'm 8 1/2 years younger, I will bring in the dough.. Of course I work on trucks with internal combustion engines... so maybe I'm wrong... I need to learn how to create business that can recycle lithium batteries, and provide hand lotion for all the soft menish persons who havent decided about what gender they are. I'm looking for investor's...
  10. I have replaced quite a few steel pipe on MP's due to carbon build up.. jojo

  13. well at leaste you have the reach.. im 5-9/ 240... you can get this done.. i hope you dont have dual ass stupid exhaust.. it WILL be in the way...
  14. in chassis... remove the drive shaft and squeeze your ass in there.. open the hood, jack the cab up with a small jack, till the cab shocks stop the jack. that will give you a few more inches to get in there.. of course if you are 'girthy'.... well.... I'm girthy... heck I dont even know what chassis you have... I assume a Granite... jojo

  17. yes to a bad o-ring. on the top of the back box, there is a shift cover, remove it and re-build the cylinders. when its on the bench you can put shop air to it to see how it leaking, (if you want to see it) then re-ring it.. I suggest replacing the shift fork set bolt... jojo
  18. well my service truck gets good mileage, 11/gallon.. .50 cent /mile.. I rekon A $1.00/mile surcharge is in order... i just put 6 new tires on it, plus wear and tear,, I think that's fair... I would like some opinion's on my mileage charge.. my current engine job is a 50 mile round trip, $25.00 worth of fuel each day... Oh well, I hate this for ALL of us... jojo
  19. Well, Ms. Cheney, is doing a great job... It is almost a convincing statement,,, Of course, I have X-Ray vision, and can see through the Liberal progressive agenda.. Why is this not about all of the destruction that happened after a criminal was killed, just because he was (Not White)? So many people were hurt, killed, and had their live turned upside down from the (Real) rioting.. Real business's were destroyed and many people were put out of work.. Why is there no concern for that? I already know.. just sayin.. I do not agree with the actions that happened on 6 June 2021.... But it is a far cry from the real riots and what still goes on today.. 'and' lets not forget that an unarmed woman was shot and killed for no reason.. by a capitol police officer.. Of course,, that wasn't called 'Racism'... Go figure.... Ok, I guess it's best I stop now... jojo
  20. Hi guy's... I just got some work.. After 3 weeks of pickin at work cause it was slim...... A customer who I have had for 3 years, and built 3 small John Deere engine's for, and a couple E-6 and E-9 repair's and done several head jobs and such, has brought me back in to re-build another Mack engine... '05 ASET C.. Oh well,,, still glad to have the work, and they dont fuss about price..... "Just Fix it Jojo!!" That's all they say... and, they want me to build their '96 E-7 in another Tractor.. and rebuild the 680 jake's.. No sweat...... Of course, that is if I can get the part's... I really needed this break.. Ya rekon it came from the small prayer, I prayed last week, when I was concerned about my (lack of) work load? Jojo
  21. Ok, so I am A Dumb-Dumb.. We have papers here to buy trucks and such, called "The truck paper".. I guess it's the same idea.. I always liked reading them, but the only way to get one is for me to go to a truck stop, thing is, I never go to truck stops. jojo
  22. if the 4-5 code has an FMI -2, the issue is within the intake system. If the FMI is '7' Look at the mechanical parts of the waste gate. ....I really think you need to confirm the Boost sensor part number... jojo
  23. Well, you just met the only one that doesn't... I would love a few older copies, just to be able to read something good...
  24. Awesome... Glad you posted the fix,and with some creativity as well.. ... Great..... jojo
