  1. Please understand me, when I posted that statement.. Im no druggie, but, I did get releif from the sgard shooting pain, and yes the ills messed with me. I have one that gives me a head rush and a bunch of energy, but the pain afterwards was bad. I dont take any pills any more, jusr work through the pain.. sorry I hi jacked this thread, I guess the Biden part is how hard it is to get good care, while SLUGS get it for free.. jojo
  2. Hell, Bob.. the pain is so bad, that i keep a cane at my bed side, just so I can get up to pee.. If I was on Biden's med care system, I would have already been on a path to recovery from free med care and surgery, and the follow up visits... but..... I'm a white workin man.. so here I sit .. I guess its time for me to go to bed,, got a road call in the morning, to continue building a Pete 357 Cement truck into a quad dump truck.. God Bless America.... jojo
  3. 3 weeks ago, just for kicks... I hit the joint my friend was puffin, In a few minutes my back pain went from ,, sharp and shooting to just dull.. I was still in pain, but i didnt get those lightning bolts of pain when I moved , bent over or twisted my body... But when I use my pill's, there are are times I shouldnt be driving, let alone working.. its a mess... I do not use anything when im working,, i drink my beer at the end of my day. even when I am in my shop at home... anyway... I hope i didnt just get myself in trouble here... i'm not a 'druggie' just hurt like hell every day... jojo
  4. Bob..... I still have issues... I have memory loss, and short term memory issues.. and I dont even smoke pot any more... I guess I need to again, and get rid of all my pain med's... jojo

  7. yeah I used one of those, for big truck tires... it's cool, but back in my prime.. I could do a tire in just a few minutes... man, i miss the 'MAN' I was... :).. jojo
  8. I have an M-5000 moffet mounty forklift... I use it to break beads on tires for my trucks. I put the wheel on a sheet of steel, and make it happen.. then i use my tire spoons to break it apart, and put a tire back on.. but this is done in my yard... not on the road jojo
  9. If I had a 'Golden tool' I would end up using it.. I already have 3 spoons, and can get it done, but, my back wont let me.. any way, it's all good.. jojo

  15. Thanks Bob for posting all the pics... I tried to explain this whole process, but I cant post pics.. the pressure valve he posted is JUNK. the other checks we posted are the shit.. Thanks again,, jojo
  16. Been there done that Onyx.... I can do tires. but I cant afford tire inventory and dealing with the price changes, they are just like fuel prices,,, a roller coaster.. jojo
  17. what year is the E-9? Is the injection pump an in-line (Robert Bosch).. or a V-8, (Ambach)?
  18. Yeah, too many safety rules... Glad you got it done,, No i dont do tires anymore.. hell with my bad lower back, I couldnt handle it.. jojo
  19. the side measurement is to check the housing for wear... simply put... if its worn, just get a reman pump.. jojo
  20. So here is one guy I was hoping would post... He doesnt have to open a book, he just know's.. (Glenn).... jojo
  21. no timing.. I have a 2 valve in my shop that i pick at from time to time. in the oil pump.... with the cover off, put a straight edge over the gears and housing.. A .007" feeler gauge should be hard to insert under the straight edge... if its loose,,, get new gears.. the clearence of the pump gears to the inside of the side walls of the housing is .006" these are the 'high limits' the low limits are .001 and .002" respectively... I hope i'm helping... jojo
  22. did you inspect the oil pressure relief valve in the oil filter stand, where it mounts to the block? the valve can not have any hard scratches on it and the bore needs to be Round. The oil pump relief spring test is 40 lbs. +/- 4 lbs. at 3 5/64".. this is for all but the bypass filter type. that one is.. 25lbs. +/- 2 3/4".. jojo
  23. got it.. to be honest, I I have only been in a handfull of E-6's.. so I can't think of something else to check, outside of something not installed correctly, however, I do not like to question a Mechanics ability without more info.. There are a bunch of guys here that know way more than I will probably ever know. The best I could do is go get my book and read it to see if there is another check that can be done.. With respect, jojo
  24. Did you replace or inspect the oil pump? There is also a pressure valve in the oil filter housing, is it good? jojo
  25. I like an E-7 Mechanical any day of the week.. Reliable engines. The ones with the electric governor housings are very good. The plug and wires for it are good, but if the duetch connector has come out of the yoke that holds it in place, and ran loose for a long time, the wires can be weakened to the point they lose contact. Its fixable.. As far as MPG.. hard to say, maybe around 7.. I still see parts for them, and our pump shops, can repair the injection pump if needed. Good luck, jojo
