    just a thought.... If he marks the heads of the pump gear bolts, then puts longer bolts in there place, then loosen the pump and slide it back on a guide bolt in place of the econovance mounting bolt's? maybe with a a flat screwdriver he can sneak some Mack Gray RTV. after a good cleaning with brake clean.. What do you think Glenn?? Jojo

    we have 2 superliners with a unit that goes under the passenger seat and the condensor with the fan is mounted on the frame behind the cab on the left side. you use the compressor on the engine and run long lines. the unit under the seat has the blower and vents in it. I put a small fan in the cab to circulate the cold air better. it is a good set-up not perfect... but good.. We are in central N.C. we get many 90+ degree days.. I will be back at that shop on Tuesday, and I will try to get the name and part number.. I posted this because the grill condensors are expensive.. the A/C system was 3/4 the price of replacing just the grill condensor.

    I'm thinking you may need to remove the springs and frame hangers and take to a shop with a press.. I have done then on the truck and I had to get creative to get the new ones in. the old ones are usually so bad that the pin will come out and then I cut the rubber and bushing with a sawz all, yes i do nick the boss but I had to do what I had to do.. then I buff the boss with a flapper wheel. then I fight and curse trying to press the pin in the hanger.. in recent years i send them out to get pressed.. I wonder if there is a mobile service in youre area that has a portable hydraulic press.. jojo

    Glenn is right ... just check the level in the bowl, at the rear plug. the rear end is splash lubed and there are channels cast into the inside of the carrier housing to direct the oil where it needs to go.. jojo

    some time's, I lube the u-bolt threads then back the nuts off and lube the nut and washer surfaces then retorque them. then run the truck to see if the springs are shifting, sometimes you can hear a popping sound when turning, that means they are shifting side to side. I said 3 spring leavves, you have 4... sorry about that.. between the axle beam and the block, should be a thin wedge. if so, does it look crushed or worn? I think the u-bolt's are 7/8" I will get the torque for them and post it.. jojo

    Yeah, I'm sorry if I'm harsh.. I just think about owner operators who need to get the most out of thier trucks and this tranny/clutch, has many issues.. I have pulled many of them before 300,000 miles.. you are doing good if it's the original tranny and clutch.. jojo

    I'm guessing you have #14,500 front springs, 3 leaves... the band clamp on the end of the spring pack is basically an indicater for shifting spring's. Are they shifting? if so ... jack the truck up and support the frame. crawl under there with a sledge hammer and try to straighten the spring leaves, if you do... they are loose.. probabley 1 1/8" socket put the toughest 3/4 gun on it or 500lbft or whatever you can pull... test drive the truck "at work" and re-check e'm.... jojo

    just had another thought.... So our supplies of ALL KIND'S are in short supply... You reckon it's because of a 'War effort'? I'm no history buff... But what I think about is 1943 in the U.S. when the U.S. Mint made pennies with steel because they needed the copper for the war.. Is this B.S. we have similar issue's, because of the scope of highly intelligent weapons and they are messing with other supplies, like food,, and fuel,, and blaming it all on the 'New scapegoat' COVID ? Am I nut's? Jojo

    I forgot to add, that there is a small air tank under the driver's,,,, I mean 'sitter's' seat, that is for the tranny...you may need to clean it out.. jojo

    Yes... clean/filterd air is a must!!! and NO air brake alcohol in the system to displace water. the shift cover can't handle it... BTW..... I call "I-Shift" "I-Don't Shift" What pisses me off about all of these automated system's... Is the FACT that People who buy these P.O.'S truck's, are the R+D ( research and developement) for the products.... OK, time to go..... jojo

    we used to put a paper clip in the sensor plug to test this fault... I've seen them left in,,, trash companies are the worst offender's... Non MP trucks... jojo

    yes sir.. i understand.... I have a fitting made up that fits the line coming off the top of the air compressor. I hook my shop compressor to the discharge line to the dryer.. then I can listen 'quietly' for air leaks....

    since it's a CH... pull the floor pan out and secure it properly and away from the exhaust pipe. There should have been a 90 degree mounting bracket where the line changes from the SS braided line to Rubberized steel braided line. It looks like you have a Mack tranny, the bracket should mount using one of the shift cover bolts. I believe it is mounted on the same side as the air dryer. of course, someone may have removed these parts before you got the truck, and hopefully you dont have to fight with a PTO control tower on the floor panel, in order to get it out...
