  1. in general, that truck is rock solid. of course no one really knows how long it will live.. If the maintainence is as good as you say, then just 'run-it' send the oil out for analysis. keep good filters on it, change the oil more often, replace the coolant if it old, replace the thermostat, check valve adjustment. as far as what you would get out of the truck, did you mean ; miles/use? re-sale price? jojo
  2. I love this!!!! your helper's are awesome... jojo
  3. YES!! good call, Mech...
  4. I think a filter or a "Flag" on post's that are a year old and older would work,, no need to delete them just inform the viewer that they are older post's... jojo
  5. my question is.... how do you find an old post? however I have typed it in to google and it will show a BMT listing... maybe thats how??? jojo
  6. the 2070 is bullet proof.. it is a different shifting than the X107... ( my favorite) next to a 1070B... jojo
  7. sounds like a govnah issue.... 6 year old post with a new question, I rekon.... jojo
  8. that picture shows a 2070-B... which means multi speed reverse. so the back box will be longer.. correct me if im wrong... jojo
  9. on the fire wall near the center, you will see and air pressure switch. That's it... jojo
  10. typically, the tranny would be a 2018, and the rears would be 200 series, to handle the torque, of the big engines.. I guess if you are the only driver, it will live longer. Just my thoughts, jojo
  11. Nice looking truck!!! I would love to read about the engine and how it was built, and if it was machined differently than a stock E-7,.. I always like to learn cool sh!t about a Mack, especially an RW... jojo
  12. I think Hougen was one of the tool companies. it's been a while for me, I used to use them when I did frame replacements and 'A' frames in Macks.. blast from my past,,, jojo
  13. I would like to see it... I have never heard of such a thing, not saying it doesnt exist, just curious... jojo
  14. yes sir,, 'V' and 'Fjh' as well...
  15. heck, we have been commenting for 20+ minute's and he hasnt come back... Hmmm? I figured he would be watching, i'm still curious.. jojo
  16. Roto broach is correct, they are milling bits that cut a clean hole with a centering pin in the middle of the bit/cutter.. jojo
  17. I would like to know what it will be built for,? because riding 80,000 lbs down the road doesnt take much effort, I guess it might be about how fast you pass a KW or Petercar.. don't know,, just curios.. jojo
  18. I'm just curious..
  19. in 04' Mack had the CTP model with an MP-7... we called it a 'bastard truck' ... I dint do much on them, but I wouldn't be surprised if what he is asking is 'do-able' .. jojo
  20. awesome pics and info.... Thank's maina'h... I lived there for 23 years.. southern Maine... now I'm in the south.. glad to see ya.. jojo
  21. Yeah mine too??? I have only built stock E-7's / E-Techs... My guess it would need heads reworked, head studs instead of bolt's, turbo nozzles, hell I dont know, camshaft being degree'd... it's barely a 12 liter engine.. and why?? jojo
  22. If anyone tells you any B.S. tell them to go away, or you go away.. I was almost cut in half by an employee of mine, we were working on a Cat V-250... older lift. I was setting it up to replace lines and I had the forks up and was fixing a chain, to hold it up and I had long 4x4's ready to put in the channels as an extra helper, and dum dum was starting to take line clamps off and lines.. If I didnt see him, he would have possibly pulled a line that would have changed both our lives.. anyway... jojo
  23. I printed this over 20 years ago... I use it often... jojo
  24. yeah my beetle took about $10 back in '89...
  25. I heard that, and also my SKS as well, they can slam-fire.. I figured because I kept them clean I was good. no issues, when 'I was Able to Shoot them' I truly would remove the firing pin from my SKS and clean it and bore in the reciever block,, not sure if thats the right name, but I could show you what I do.. anyway, I like talking about my guns, but I only chat on this web site, so I guess an occasional chat will do.. as far as my Enfield.. when I was shooting it, it was fine, but of course mine is old and been fired a bunch.. It's a 4MK, and the stamping is from B.S.A. I thought that was pretty cool... jojo
