  1. the carport name may be stamped into the square tubing,, I know one of mine is.. Eagle Carport's..
  2. just like a Mack 1070-B but without the lo and lo-lo gears..
  3. It is an Eaton. it was a five speed gear box that you could split each gear. 1st, lo/Hi 2nd lo/Hi 3rd lo/Hi..... split it like a range shift but i was a split shift...
  4. gosh, now I wish I knew to look at how the top 2 shifted themselves. i think you had the splitter up, and it knew how to split it on its own.. dammmit.. I just wasnt deep in at that time..
  5. is the frame pre-drilled for the mount that is needed? 16mm (5/8'') holes in your case about 3 1/2 inches apart..
  6. Mech.. You have to let me me do something for you.. I want to buy you 2 of the next coins that are released.. sorry , cats out of the bag , but i didnt want you to buy the next ones.. I will give Barry your address and send them to you.
  7. Hey mech?? did you see a familiar toy truck in the pictures?
  8. I have been collecting some cool stuff for years.. These coins are a great addition. I need another curio... Jojo https://photos.app.goo.gl/nv1KDDEU2ocMRa396 https://photos.app.goo.gl/pM6NbKgbGGyTFVqH9
  9. I dont remember that. I was fairly new as a Mack Mechanic. The only reason I remember what I posted was because I did more than 20 of the P.D.I.'s and installed the add-ons.. plus test drove all of them as part of the P.D.I. I wouldnt mind driving one today just to get back in the groove of shifting that tranny..
  10. I do beleive back in 2002. when i was at Mack, our local grocery wharehouse, (Hannaford Bros.) bought 36 of them. Day cab and road trucks. Maxicruise, 355/380 H.P. all had Eaton Super 10 Top 2, transmissions, and Eaton rears...
  11. Do you have the small line at the top of the radiator
  12. You should get the solution respect sir.. Great find and repair..
  13. Dammit !!! Mack should have been the Best.!!!!
  14. Yes guys, I worked them both in the dirt.. Eaton is better, and easier to do a synchro repair.. fixed many of them, I could do an eaton repair in 1 shift at the shop, from first test drive, to last test drive.. ( of course parts were in the parts room back then) .. I still have my shop made jig in my shop here.. it held many Eaton back boxes.. and a few Meritors too..
  15. I get it Mark... weak points for sure.. they do fail early relatively speaking,, It hurts my heart, because of my love of the Mack Truck's. its easy for me to say that if you own this set up and have a mechanic brain, you can maintain it and prolong the failure interval.. Still the best Trucks in the dirt.. !! Hands down..
  16. I was thinking about that Mark,, I assume that most who post are mechanics. Obviously in a shop on a concrete floor with the right tranny jack and something to support the engine when the tranny is pulled, then able to tip the tranny on its bell housing, would be the way to go. It is am MR chassis which makes it easier and an hour or so shorter of a removal job, that is what I would do after my trials that I do first.. Of course I have pulled , many,, transmissions, so for me it would be routine..
  17. looks clean, We LOVE pictures.. I bet someone in the Keystone State will go look at it..
  18. Trump is a Dick... But he loves our nation, he loves succes, hence bussiness people, and loves seeing other succeed.. I want a business man with a set of Ball's.. I was raised by combat vet's, and they were hard working strong family MEN.. I want a president who will fight for us. and the border + our cost of living is something he WILL fix in his first year.. The rest of what we want will follow. and Real Criminals will be in jail, not peaceful protesters. Oh crap, I got so wound up my tin foil hat just ripped... gotta go....
  19. to me it looks like they are giving it to 45.. I dont trust them..
  20. yes to a bad relay, You have the skills to fix this one.
  21. I get it !!! thats F'n Funny !!
  22. As far as the range shifter, remove the back cover from it, you will see a 2 peice piston. All is sealed with o-rings, the piston nut can loosen over time. If you need new pistons, PAI has a good low cost product. Use seal glide or equivelant on the o-rings when you go back together.
