That is some intense knowledge.. GW.. you really bring some smart stuff to the forum.. I would have to see it, and still dont know if i would understand it early on..

So using my 13% Building the mack transmissions I used to build, re-used bearings were set to .002"-.005" pre-load, and new bearings were set to .003"-.006" pre-load.. I beleive Eaton uses end play, i suck at those. I can kick the crap out of of the back boxes on many models, but sick at building the main boxes..

Yes sir, i have seen cloudy fuel as well.. i didnt sample it, my job was to get the trucks off the side of the road... New filters and crossed fingers, on off you go.. I worked in Maine for many years so I have been in sub zero weather at night on the side of the road a few times.. thats all i got, nothin exciting...

Not sure if im in the 13%, hood chance im not,, but in my short 25 years in trucking and repair, i dont recall gelled fuel, just water in the filters that froze, and caused issues.. some old timers i worked with would put K-1 in the tanks for easier starting..

Those thermostats are an in-line type, i think it may be available in a farm tractor line. Im not sure if Stant makes them. I wish I could remember them better, or even have a picture. Do you have a picture??

Is bearing pre load between.003"+.006"? Are you able to buy shim paper and cut your own shims. Ive done that a couple times.. just need a scissor..

Remove the EUP wire harness and unwrap it and look for broken wires also unplug the EECU plugs and look for corrosion or fluids inside the plugs and sockets. Do Not replace the fuel pumps !!!!

Heinzy, the E-7 and E-Tech exh manifold bolts right on an aset-i.. However aset- c has too much other crap to deal with. The center section needs to have the correct angle for the turbo, other than that, all good, and the older manifolds breath better. -

Thats quite possible. He will just have to fit a hood race in there to see. It may have spun a groove inside the bore, we dont know yet. Im still surprised a replacement hub cant be found in the parts lookup system .

I dont know the turbo or injectors, maybe find a truck with the setup and use the VIN. The exh. Manifold is easy.. get an E-7 or early E-Tech manifold.. they breath better.. -

Now an equipment inspection makes sense, definitely need the right equipment going to where it can be used to its best ability.. These D-Bags that start B.S. during serious times deserve some jail time.. maybe 6 month minimum..
