  1. you have access to some important info.. I bet you get it done... jojo
  2. you too funny..
  3. ok. eng. computer.. when looking at it. the plug on the right. there is a sharp steel bail that holds the plug in tightly. you can use spray lube to free it up, not too much. if any gets in the socket blow it out with air. when you release the bail, you lift up and tilt the plug to remove it, they have tabs on the end opposite the wires. you may still have a bolt holding the harness' together. remove it, you may need to unplug both of them to do this... no biggie, just be cautious... the vehicle computer is behind the steel kick panel in the cab , right side under the fuse panel.. T-27 torx bolts hold it on, pull back the floor mat to get the lower bolts.. jojo
  4. i forgot... the J1 plug is the one on the right.
  5. have you removed the J1 plug and inspect the pins? #26 specifically..do you have a helper who can watch the light, while you gently move the J1 plug while running ,without unplugging it?
  6. no sweat.. if you have questions, post pics with them when possible.. The reason I posted about wire I.D. is to show you how helpful it is to follow the circuit. jojo
  7. Just in case you chase wires in the cab. They will say VJ1-2or3, then wire # then a letter, (a,b,c) for example.. those represent intersections in the wires, and then the wire size will be the last #.. The V stands for V.E.C.U. jojo
  8. its the J1 connector on the engine computer.. the printing on the wires is Identification. ie: EJ1-26-0.5 means ' plug J1, wire #26, 0.5 is the wire size.. this is likely the ground circuit.. notice other wires have different wire #'s. they too are associated with the pin location in the plug. very hard to see the numbers on the plug. I need a magnifying glass, now that I'm older... keep in mind when you read a schematic, generally , the top is power in and the bottom of the diagram is the negatives.. this particular diagram is a bit different, jojo
  9. I have never used that one. I did witness a NAPA filter explode. I was on a road call, 90 minutes away, was diagnosing fault codes, and while trying to duplicate the problem, the centrimax blew it's top... I wasnt even there an hour, well that ended my road call. 90 minutes back to the shop. They needed a new cover and spindle... Oh yeah, I did stay and help clean up the oil... jojo
  10. Well... I looked in the book shown, my E-6 2 valve book, and my E-6 4 valve book, and cannot find the lifter part #. The book i posted does have a ton of part numbers for all areas of a Mack and even midliner info. I was lucky enough to have a friend at Mack, who was willing to print this for me.. There is a lot of E-6 part numbers in it... jojo
  11. Thank you very much! I guess I will put a rack body on it and drive it to the grocery store and run errands around town. We have a few truck shows close by, I hope to be in them, and maybe Parades. I have to get the brakes working, and replace all of the wiring. (I will leave all of the original wiring in place so when I do go to shows, folks can see how it was made back in 1948). I also need to find some mirrors. I just put the glass in it last week. It runs good, I have driven it in my neighborhood, I used the hand brake to stop it .. jojo
  12. right panel that says vision... pull it off and look inside....
  13. I guess when I get this one done, we will get a pete
  14. Amen! She say's she still loves truck's She want's a Canary Yellow long nose Pete with Bug eye headlight's just to go buy groceries... I still cant sell her on a Superliner... oh well
  15. No, she wasnt respected at the last job this year, so after 34 years of driving.. she switched gears... doin something totaly different... took a job with Carvana driving a roll back delivering cars to fancy pants customers... LOL
  16. My wife is laughing.... 👍
  17. She agree's the old timey way was the sh!t... Jojo, and his wife...:)
  18. My wife is talking to me from the kitchen now, she say's when you set up for a spread, set youre chains for the thickness of the spread, then raise the bed till you here the product start to slide, then put it in drive and as you move, the bed will raise as you move forward. use your speed for lay down.... she say's it takes practice because she drove dump trucks with cable operated dump valves so she would set in gear and go, and spread with the lever... it's doable... My wife kick's ass!!! Jojo
  19. Are you talking about spread dumping? This is Joey Mack's wife I have driven these trucks and did spread dumping. The truck I drove was a 2019 GR104F Quad with M Drive and high rise tail gate. You do not use the high rise tailgate, you use your chains.
  20. Premium Tech Tool... not sure about the NexiQ box, but Vocomm 8300 works... I think I got the # right. You can buy a Fleet version for around $600.00... You have to keep up with it and log in regularly, so that you don't have to be on hold for 2 hrs, with 'tech support' but it is very handy... I look forward to more comments to help you with this tool... I loaded the new version for a cust. 3 months ago... I believe the version was 2.8... but the website will direct you to the latest version.. I assume it has an Alison tranny.? I do not know what you need to diagnose it... sorry... jojo
  21. heck, just visit and post in other topic's, post pic's, shoot the Sh!T whatever.. there is a catagory list that offers thing's other than Mack stuff.. Jojo
  22. there were a few updates to try to help the Jacobs 690 engine brake. One was a top oil line feed kit. If you see braided oil lines going to the jake spacers, then the update has been done. when you pull the valve covers to inspect, the data plate should have .021" stamped where the jake adjustment is stamped, old was .015 or .017... just curious, you can just take a pic of the left side of the jake spacers/valve covers. and the data plate on top of the front valve cover, or rear if they were swapped... then we can add more info.. jojo
  23. that pipe plug is the fuel gallery...
  24. my pleasure, but it was really a team effort... one of the best parts about BMT.. jojo
  25. damn good truck... jojo
