  4. Oops I did it again.. I answered an d post.. as far as fuel in the oil, we just had an extensive thread about this. You can search it out. And I will try to find it too.
  5. With normal capacity oil pan, 36qts(9) gallons. Deaper pans can be 40+ ..jojo
  6. The oil pump has one, and inside the oil filter mounting should be another one.. if the filter mount was removed, was the correct gasket put back in?? Very important... I can't post pics right now.. jojo
  7. I saved the website.. When I get a few minutes, will set it up.. I am only able to post old pics from 'My Attachments' right now.. Thank you Guy's... jojo
  8. was there a sealing washer at the bottom of the injector bore that was missed and they got doubled up with the new injector? FYI.. If you miss it, then put the inj. plug back in, and you see 3 + threads showing, it will miss-align the injector line, and well?? ..... pull it and look again... jojo
  9. Awesome story!! I see Mack X? on the base of the right one?? I didnt know about an airline... Thanks, Jojo

  13. i heated that yoke til it was red, before it broke.. it was rusted bad, i new I had to replace it anyway..
  14. I had to split the yoke on opposite sides to get it off.. jojo
  15. ok, I dont know how i got this to load... this happened in my shop a couple months ago.. on my 20 ton hand pump press.. I have never broken one before.. Good thing a new case was only $200.00... I did get the truck fixed.. it's been in service for a couple months .. It was a sinking feeling when it snapped... jojo
  16. Wow!! a Mack dealer using PAI parts.. My local dealer is too proud to use them.. They will only use Mack parts, which means they do very little E-7/E-Tech repairs.. and $3657.00 for the in frame kit is a good price, thats around what I paid for the ASET-C I built in July.. Good luck... jojo
  17. It was suggested that I make a donation to BMT.. I did.. but there is no new data space.. its ok.. I should have learned a new way of posting pics.. I was going to post a picture of an E-Tech that I just finished,, boring but still 'shop talk' I also rebuilt a back box in a metric eaton, and when I was pressing the yoke off the case cracked in half.. that was a first, and also gave me a sinking feeling.. c ya later,, jojo
  18. you can pull #4 and swap it with another EUP, and see if the issue follows the EUP.. jojo
  19. If I could post pics, I would have showed some shop work I did, just to keep this thread alive too... jojo
  20. i have no clue on full lockers and so on.. jojo
  21. the mount bolt pattern is the same.. after around 2010-ish i think is when they added another bolt inside the carrier housing.. so your good... as far as the axle housing, how it is mounted into the truck is different, as you know.. spider gears in a Mack rear end are housed inside the bull gear, so no need to go that deep in that.. if you get the chance,, get a blown up mack rear from a friend and tear it apart.. as smart as you are you will say... "oh hell I get this'... jojo
  22. I may be missing something here.... there is no reason that a GOOD overhaul is not performing... I'm sorry, but I know that I cant help you with the info you posted.. There are a lot of smart guys here, and maybe one will come up with a good direction for you... Jojo
  23. new heads? new liners? new pistons/rings? what kind of 'overhaul' is this.. who did the work? sorry bud.. I dont see how it could be in poor shape after an 'overhaul'... jojo
