just for kick's.... rotate the dimmer switch back and forth really fast with the side of youre hand a bunch of times and see if it cleans the contacts... It works if the switch is just dirty or been sitting a while... great truck, My favorite Mack model... Jojo -

if you have the pressure sensor on the regulator, take the sensor out, linstall a 't' then put the sensor back in the 't' and hook a gauge to the open port.. 1/4" NPT.. I have one made up with a long hose, so I can put it in the window and hang it on the sun visor so I can drive the truck and test it.. welcome aboard... jojo

a couple places.. I hook into the return port on the right side of the block, however another 'Poster' here suggests the port behind the top of the overboard breather. it is on the right front corner of the engine and has 15/16" hex nut made into the lid. remove the lid and you can get to the small plug in the fuel gallery.. you will need to use 3" long male pipe union to reach out enough to hook a gauge to.. 60+ PSI....Jojo

I was thinking the same thing TJC. I havent gotten the shot yet.. We were told that our natural immunity is better, 6 month's ago. I guess I will just keep myself as I am. Folk's I know that got the Gov. Shot were sick for a few days. anyway... Merry HaunaKwanzaMas... Jojo

yes, if your Mack Dealer will help you.. I do not have the part numbers, otherwise I would post them for you... The issue I found was that the S-cam was too short, coming out of the S-cam housing, and I was unable to shim the slack out to clear and get the outer snapring on.. jojo

Yeah the Australian Sheppard is an American name, from what I understand. Ive had several of them over the last 25 years. My wife got them from a local breeder.. Personnaly I like mutt's.. less maintenance and usually their free.. jojo

yes... the rear axle wont allow 5 1/2" OC by 28 spline slacks to fit, unless you buy left side and right side... I just dealt with this on (2) '86 RW 713's.. The issue I found was that the S-cam was too short and the snap ring on the outside of the slack adjuster would not go on... so I was not able to shim it out... Jojo

one other thing... look at the flywheel housing at the 8 O'Clock position, (bottom left) and check the condition of the RPM/TDC sensor.. they get very dirty and oily and the insulation rots away from the wires... jojo

Before you buy a code reader, keep in mind that this truck is very simple, and good-old-fashioned diagnostic technic's get it done.. I have a code reader that is made by OTC.. I think I paid $275.00 for it. I use it often on trucks older than 2016.. I will post a picture of it ... jojo

check the connection at the injection pump plug. the plug should be secured in a yoke. over time the wires shake a lot and get loose in the plug. when you seperate the plugs, look inside at the pin condition, and gently tug each wire from the back to see if any are loose/moving. if so try to improve the securement of the wire. do one at a time so you dont mix them up.. I have seen the pins slide back in the plug and dissconnect.. Good luck... jojo
