  7. I have done PDI's on many Republic waste trucks. they come with (10) 315 steer tires on them, then at their shop they pull the rear tires off and put them in stock for steer tires, then put cheapass caps on the rear's... jojo
  8. The electric pick-up trucks make me laugh.. I dare any electric truck to work as hard and go as far as my old '77 C-30.. I love the ad's that show it pulling a boat/trailer.. and using it to power the house during a storm.. How strong are those batterie's, really?? anyway, just my opinion.. jojo

  14. Yep..... I thought so... Git'r done.... jojo
  15. The 04' was another new begining of too much B.S. bolted to the engine, and more sensors.. Personally, I do not like the ceramic lifters.. If the ASET is a CEGR ( cooled e.g.r.) then you will give your wallet a 'workout' The exhaust system at the engine is very expensive and the EGR valves dont last very long, and at a grand a piece.... well.... you get it.. heck the EGR crossover pipe with the 2 sensors in it is $1700.00.. and on back order at times, and forget replacing the cracked exhaust manifold center section... The MP's.. Strong engines. but many exh. repairs will be done. I keep saying it's expensive.. all repairs are expensive, but the frequency of some of these repairs 'chap's my a$$'... When I was working in the Mack dealer a few years ago, I would cringe, on behalf of the customer who was trying to keep his truck on the road, when he got a bill for $5000.00 - $8000.00 for exhaust system repair, and then have to bring it back because the MILF light came back on... OK,,, time for other opinions.. jojo

  19. I know its a bit of work, but you can open the hood and stand in the opening and look,, can you take your pressure washer and blow the gap between the cooler and rad.? hell a garden hose with a small fire hose nozzel can do it..... you got this.... jojo
  20. That's what I'm talking about !! This is what I wanted to see before Christmas... Just the simple love of our furry children... Thank's Bob,... Jojo
  21. Nice posting.. I did forget about that style gauge.. Of course stay simple right now, are you able to see between the CAC and the radiator? maybe with a mirror or a bore scope? is it pushing coolant out of the reservoirs? is the fan shroud broken or missing? have you replaced the thermostats? you should have 2 on that engine.? Is it an ASET-I or 'C'? jojo
  22. I hope that you and youre loved ones were able to stay away from Covid, or at the least, recover well.. Merry Christmas Mr. Mackey... Jojo
  23. What model and year? what do you haul? what are the dust and dirt levels where you haul? jojo
  24. if youre truck is 06 and older (Gray Motor) the small green zone on the gauge is 180-185.. and I think you are looking for 30+ degrees difference between inlet and out let temps on the radiator, going in should be 180ish, 150ish coming out.. jojo
