  1. is the tranny a trd72?
  2. are the "Down" bags over stretched and leaking? they look wrong... What do you see here MarkT?
  3. Isnt that used on this chassis for the VGT air supply? I need to look back at the year of this truck now.. i forgot.
  4. I dont know how many different ways there are to plumb the tag axle, but I have never taken my air supply from the firewall... I always go to the secondary tank and first install a 65PSI protection valve then from it, supply the tag axle system.
  5. Good call Mark! and pics would help a bunch.. The MGM chambers you suggested are top notch.. jojo
  6. some one plumbed the axle to the primary, it needs to be on the secondary. The main supply out of the secondary tank needs a "Pressure Protection Valve" installed at the tank. so that if a failure occurs on the tag axle it wont drain most of the air needed to "Stop"!
  7. Its always good to keep the truck in good repair, especially the D.O.T. items,(safety).. However... when the truck is parked, and the brakes are "Set"... There is NO air going to the brake chambers... The air is leaking in other places... when sitting.. My guess is this truck has air switches for the tag axle and body controls... If there is an electric selenoid in-line, check those closely. jojo
  8. you will be fine.... others will chime in..
  9. Hell yeah!!! thats a great calculator.... I searched the web, but didnt find that one...jojo
  10. feet in a mile...
  11. i dont know for sure, but engine rpm's will drop at 65 mph
  12. You can park on a clean floor. mark the tire and the floor at 6 O'Clock. roll the tire until the mark hits 6 O'Clock again. mark the floor, measure the distance between the marks and divide it into 5280... thats your revs.. jojo
  13. ok.. only reason i posted is because I have done many Mack rears and 4.17: 1 and 4.42:1,,, were the most common by far... Someone who knows more than me will post for you..jojo
  14. try this. 11r24.4 revs/ mile... 858 revs.
  15. Ok. real quick... Lots to absorb here.... If you have a bad carrier (4:42) Then change both to (4:17), and reset the dipswitches on the speedo. I have the chart on this if you need info. basically, Final drive ratio hopefully OD .76:1 ish... 16 teeth on the output tone wheel, then 4.17: rears, and tire revs/mile. do you know how to do it the old timey way? I can show you the chart... by the way. I bet that truck can pull anything the way it's set now?? Jojo
  16. Forget going to the Mack store on-line.. i tried.. hell try anyway... Go Bulldog! Jojo
  17. try a right click yo see if any info pops up..
  18. It just keeps going.... We have over 1 Million homeless people on the streets. We don't know why or what got them there. A good bit of them are Veterans, and yet.. there they are, while we give free room and board and medical care to people that enter our country illegally.. can someone teach me why I am wrong and shouldn't be pissed off about this? jojo
  19. can you use A/C orings..?
  20. I figured the bearings were the difference, but because its not off the top of my head ,, I need guidance. thank you.. jojo
